It has boxes and wands. What do these boxes and wands do? The boxes will make a disk, and the wands will add a design to an (unlocked) box. All boxes come with 1 pre-designed design slot. There are 5 Tiers (including OTS), and there is an Auction Version that will add more design slots (up to 10) but no additional functionality. Each tier will add the same # Tier to the item capacity and # of design slots of the disk. So a Tier 2 box will create a disk that has a +2 item capacity boost and 2 design options. Designs cannot be overwritten, so you'll need to unlock the box to Tier 2 in order to add (or change) a design. You can CLEAN a design off, but you can't overwrite one.
The box can store 4 charges per tier, and requires (Tier * 1) crystals to create a disk, so at Tier 2, it will hold 8 charges and requires 2 charges to create a disk that has +2 item capacity. (Default capacity for a disk is 8 items, including items in containers.) For your convenience, the shop will also sell black crystals!
There is a cosmetic enhancement (fluff) that is unlocked on the box at Tier 3 and Tier 4, but both have no mechanical functionality.
Here is the analyze from a sample box:
A pale celadon maple box will create a disk with an increased capacity based on the tier. Each disk creation requires a number of black crystals to activate. This box is Tier 1 and can hold 1 crystal. Disks created with this box will provide an increased capacity of +1 over the standard capacity of +8. This includes items inside containers. Disks created from the box do not have have increased weight capacity. While the box itself can be altered, disk designs and/or the material inside the box cannot be changed through standard alteration methods. Material color can be changed (Tier 3) by holding common items that have an acceptable fabric in the description with COVER, and the material can be changed (Tier 4) by holding common items that have an acceptable material in the description with PUSH. Disk designs can be added (Tier 2) with design wands typically sold in the same shop as the box. Tier benefits increase by +1 for each of: required charges, increased capacity, and available design slots up to Tier 5. (IE: Tier 3 requires 3 charges, increases capacity by +3, and gives 3 design slots.) Storage capabilities are 4 charges per tier for a total of 20 charges at Tier 5. The auction version will expand available design slots to 10 but gives no additional mechanical functionality. USAGE: OPEN, CLOSE, LOOK, GAZE (see the current disk design), DROP (black crystals), RUB (create disk) Material in box: ivy green paeline Disk design(s): Design 1. the vivid green Haliste disk caught in a tangle of ivy vines Using attuned black crystals from Login Rewards will attune the box to you. You cannot use someone else's crystals. Crystals placed in this box cannot be removed. Disks created from the box do not have an increased weight capacity.

Quick up date on the disk creators from Diskovery -- these will now let you put items inside (whoops?) AND these will take Elemental Lore, Air ranks bonus into consideration so that Wizards retain their bonus and will make the largest disk possible with their lore + item bonus/tier. (Yes, they stack.)
