Entry

[Close Yer Robe]
Rotten wooden walls surround this dusty space. Thick layers of cobwebs coat the windows and two hanging lanterns, dampening the light cast by each. A series of shelves adorn the walls, their contents glittering dully in what little light comes through the dust and grime. Tilted off its hinges, a black door leads into another room, though the view through the gaps affords only darkness. The doorway to the porch remains open to the elements, and stray gusts of wind carry with them the stench of the swamp.

On the tilted oak shelf you see:

Storage

This room is dark save for what little light manages to flicker forth from an oil lantern hanging from the ceiling. The glass is sooty and almost completely obscured by dust and cobwebs, casting strange shadows on the walls. Grimy dressers and wardrobes clutter the edges of the room, their contents open to the air. A plank from the floor sits askew, allowing a draft to seep up from below through the hole, and the black door leading out is tilted off its hinges.

Cellar

Shadows reign in this subterranean room. The only light filters down from above, barely illuminating the rungs of a rickety wooden ladder that lead down from a hole in the ceiling. The dirty floor is littered with refuse and scraps of metal, making walking around dangerous with the dim state of the area. The smell of decay emanates strongly from one corner, beneath what looks like a pile of stained rags.

Closet

This cramped space is cluttered with boxes and crates stacked from floor to ceiling. Illuminated by a swath of glowing green mold, the closet is little more than an extra large vertical coffin. One box has fallen over and spilled open, allowing its contents to be viewed, and despite the state of the room, the items appear to be in good shape. The door leading out is barely visible in the gloom, its edges marked by an absence of glowing mold and a faint, stale draft from the other side.

The wood plank flooring has rotten through in several places, leaving large holes in the surface and making walking here treacherous. A dilapidated porch swing hangs from the listing tin roof that is so laden with rusty holes that it does not protect from the elements at all. The paint on the railing has peeled almost completely, leaving the bare wood showing from beneath. A layer of mold and grime coats every surface, including a trio of steps that leads down and the frame of the open doorway that offers entrance.
