a small cottage at the end of a wooden walkway, [Map Room XX], Room# 8083060, Lich# LXX, go small cottage

Moorlyn Cottage, Entryway

[Moorlyn Cottage, Entryway - 8084241]
The narrow hallway is paneled in dark wood, and the ceiling and upper walls are painted a rich, dark green, so dark as to be almost black. Long thick carpets, red and blue and cream co-mingled, run along the wooden floors. From above, a single stained glass shade casts a warm and colorful light. A staircase leads up to a higher floor, and a doorway and an archway branch off of the entryway, leading deeper into the cottage.

Moorlyn Cottage, Den

[Moorlyn Cottage, Den - 8084242]
A well-used fireplace, several comfortable leather armchairs, and a wide carpet of geometrically patterned silk are the only signs this room serves, in the off-hours, as part of a home. It is otherwise laden with wares, which are draped over racks and displayed on mannequins, folded into baskets, and overflowing out of boxes and shelves. A single wide doorway is almost lost amongst the excess.
Obvious exits: none

In the brass and wood purdonium you see: some wooden sticks.

On the wood and brass rack you see: a matte black ruff, a matte red ruff, a matte white ruff, and a simple goffering iron.

Analyze
Analyze:

This ruff can be altered, but has very specific rules. It cannot have a show. It should be a <color> <material> ruff <optional descriptor>. The "<color> <material>" together can be a maximum of 15 characters. The material can only be lace, silk, linen, lawn, cambric, cotton, or organza. The optional descriptor will be a long description and should describe additional color or accent elements, but may not describe shape, height, or degree of starch, which are handled by the goffering iron (so while spangles or trims would be acceptable, descriptions like oblong, tall or fluffy are not).

If you had a goffering iron, you could change the style of the ruff. This would add an adjective to the beginning of the ruff's description. This ruff is off the shelf and can be adjusted by a goffering iron to be tall, flat, scorched, or crinkled.

You can RUB, ATTEND, and PULL the ruff.

Moorlyn Cottage, Dining Room

[Moorlyn Cottage, Dining Room - 8084243]
The bright white light of a low-hanging chandelier is muted some by its etched and frosted globes, the whole assemblage hanging low over a squared oak dining table. While the glass-fronted cupboards that line the room display a collection of fine silver and porcelain, the table itself is unset, and is covered with a pile of papers and ledgers. A swinging door leads elsewhere, a pair of glass double doors lead outside into a courtyard, and a narrow archway leads into the entryway of the cottage.
Obvious exits: none

On the oak dining table you see: a mismatched stack of ledgers, an array of papers, and a pile.

Moorlyn Cottage, Kitchen

[Moorlyn Cottage, Kitchen - 8084244]
The kitchen is clearly a room meant to serve a purpose, not to be beautiful. Yet, there are gentle touches still. The iron stove is polished. The butcher's block is unstained. A marble slab is set with labeled canisters of flours. Someone has taken the time to paint a frieze high up where the walls meet the ceiling. A single window overlooks the courtyard to the back of the cottage, its glass panes clean and clear. Even the swinging door is a bit more colorful than is purely necessary.

Moorlyn Cottage, Courtyard

[Moorlyn Cottage, Courtyard - 8084245]
The small courtyard is ringed with a stone wall, and is flagged with large slabs of silvery grey. A metal latticework pergola is thickly covered with winter roses, within whose sweet-smelling, thorny embrace are placed a half-circle of high-backed wooden chairs. A hearth and stack is built into the surrounding wall, and the banked fire within warms the courtyard. A pair of glass double doors lead into the cottage. You also see a thick leather ledger set atop a carved wooden plinth.

You see the following names on the leather ledger:

A note at the bottom of the leather ledger reads:
The leather ledger is closed.
The leather ledger allows customers to get back on the ledger after having been served.

You can LEAVE the leather ledger to remove your name from it. (Joining the list is automatic when you are visible in the area.)

There is also some smaller print at the bottom. If you PEER you might be able to discern it.
