The Elven Nations
The Elven Empire collapsed approximately 5,000 years before the beginning of the Modern Era, following the expulsion of the house of Faendryl, and since then the five Great Elven Houses have existed as de facto independent polities, allied but rarely acting in concert. Their last united effort was the Edict of 5103, which was referred to as being issued by a "Council of the Elven Houses," a body which has not been referred to before or since.
