Inking Den
In the wandering eye market (north) you will find Kraken’s Fall town hall, The Inking Den. Access is through the enormous iron-bound door built into the craggy face of the cliff. All the city’s official business occurs here.
The Inking Den

| Sunlight peeks over the lip, though it never truly shows its face this close to the sheer cliff wall that stretches towards the sky. Purple clover blossoms grow between the dark cobblestones as tangled flaeshorn vines strive for the peak. Smaller stalls, dark and secretive, have popped up in the shadow of the cliff, while an enormous iron-bound door is built directly into its craggy face. A small oak and stucco shop rests on the far southern edge of the square. You also see an enormous iron-bound door.

Main Room

| Glass-fronted lanterns dangle from wrought iron rings anchored to the ceiling to provide uniform lighting throughout the vestibule. Several hallways branch outward from this point, each decorated with either navy blue or cerulean rugs that help to cut down on the echoing of voices and footsteps off of the stone walls. An etched bronze sign is tacked to the lower half of the northern wall, while above it the towering image of a large black kraken being skewered by a bowsprit is painted in brilliant detail.

The Courtroom
The courtroom is found at the end of the west, Inking Den hallway. This is where all legal proceeding take place.

| Light from a myriad of frosted wall sconces reflects off of the stucco walls of the courtroom, the steady glow creating a warm and brightly lit space. Navy blue rugs rest against the eastern and western walls, pews stretched out upon their faces, while leaving a central aisle of exposed stone. An enormous copper kraken sculpture dominates the northern wall, looming over several chairs that surround a copper-edged ironwood podium.

| Large oak beams stretch across the stone ceiling, the roughened lengths riddled with nails that hold aloft a variety of charms, talismans, and globes, while the corresponding pillars that provide their support are draped with fishing nets and strange carvings. A long wooden plank lays across the top of two oak barrels to create a rustic countertop, which separates a ship name registrar from the public. Open brass portholes ring the office, their windows thrown wide to display painted scenes.

| Potted plants of large and small ferns decorate three-quarters of the hall, their broad leaves catching the pulsating illumination of a nearby shimmering doorway that seems out of place in the granite office. Copper lanterns discharge yellowing light over the counter, where Anne the Wedding Planner, diligently works through a stack of papers while keeping her eye on the comings and goings through a windowed dark green door that leads to the hallway outside. Imbedded into the western wall, an austere corridor offers travel options.

| Whitewashed walls and rainbow-whorled windows dominate the tidy room, while a painted panoramic of Kraken's Fall, complete with street names and shop fronts, sprawls across the polished floor. Preserved flower samples housed in tiny glass frames are arranged upon either side of a tall bookshelf, their buff faces reflecting the various titles of the tomes held on each shelf. A pristine white pedestal also occupies the space, though it has been carefully moved out of the path of foot traffic.

Wedding Area Descriptions: Location 1
Garden Sanctuary, Retreat.
Naturally flowing water spills down and around an extensive tumbling of sandstone rocks. A single mimosa tree reaches an impressive height, bending its heavily laden boughs over a delicate mistwood bridge. Elegantly arching over the spring, the bridge has a soft blonde color that stands out distinctly against a background of tall, slender grasses.

Precisely pruned trees of varying heights give a secluded feeling to the otherwise open expanse of short, pale emerald grass. A simplistic stairway forms a fanning crescent down the side of a modest hill, adjacent to a sculptural stonework buffet and a bronze patina pedestal. Warm, twinkling lights float amongst the limbs of back-set red maples that provide a fiery accent to the understated landscape.
Garden Sanctuary, Conservatory.
A set of curving stairs trails off at a statuesque pavilion with a peaked crown covered in slate shingling. Three dewy glass walls seclude a silk-cushioned trestle seat, while still allowing a sweeping view of the profuse irises and fruit trees. Sunken into the ground, a silvery stone water basin faintly glimmers under shifting beams of sunlight.
Garden Sanctuary, Altar.
Neutral sand-hued stones pave the earthy ground and are punctuated by a mix of smaller blue-grey and ivory pebbles. A series of decorative stone lanterns line a wide, silk-spread aisle, leading to a lush koi pond in front of an ornate mistwood altar. Minimal flowerage exists within the verdure flourishing around the area, dotted only by sprays of woody indigo blossoms and nearly transparent white buds.
Once finished, you return the rose-colored pamphlet to its proper place on the bookshelf.
Office of the Curator
The Office of the Curator is located down the western side of the Inking Den Hallway.

| An errant breeze ruffles the gauzy curtains that frame a picture of a frog sitting on a box. Backlit by candles in wrought iron wall sconces, tiny motes ride the current, eddying around and over a wide assortment of baubles, curios, and statues. A thick layer of fresh reeds supports a braided burgundy rug, and a well-used broom leans against a brass plaque affixed to the wall. Mounted strategically above a windowed blue door is a brass bell.

| Wreathed by intricate cloth wall coverings, the small office has whitewashed walls and a thick rug of azure that stretches to completely cover the floor. Positioned with a clear view of the entry, a decorative mahogany desk is covered with a variety of small embroidery hoops, a basket of various threads, and a cushion filled with darning needles. Flitting between the desk and the wall coverings, a willowy sylvan clerk tends to the office.

| Cobalt blue rugs cover the floor from wall to wall in the small lounge, while pendant-shaped globes dangle from copper chains in the ceiling and create a soft, twilight-hued light that suffuses the air. Several quilted armchairs are scattered about the space, some in groups of two and three and others angled for the solitary visitor. Shimmering energy dances within a cinquefoil archway, the static electricity rising out of it preventing anyone from entering, though nothing seems to be blocking an enruned golden arch. You also see an enruned golden arch.

| Smoothly hewn and perfectly circular, the small booth has an incredibly high ceiling which has a single frosted globe dangling from it. Reddish light swirls throughout the compact space, the motion hypnotic and somewhat disorienting. Fitted into the smooth stone floor is a series of cobalt circles that form interwoven patterns incised with runes.

A bulletin board with job postings tacked all over it hangs to the right of the entry, while four large wrought iron lanterns dangle from rings affixed to the ceiling to provide light throughout the space. Covered with flagons, inkwells, quills, and loose pages, a disorderly desk surrounded by chairs sits on the opposite side of the counter. You also see a guild official.

A hurricane lantern cranked up to its highest setting emits black smoke from its top and casts brilliant white light on a tidy oak desk where a weathered old clerk sits engrossed in his records.

| Wall sconces decorate two of the four sky blue walls, their polished bronze backings reflecting the light in all directions for a nice, even illumination. A navy blue rug with an enormous white anchor design is spread across the stone floor, the nearby bookcases, cabinets, and desk placed at an angle so as not to cover the image. Wandering distractedly about, a bright-eyed young clerk peruses several papers from a standing position, seemingly ignoring the office's only chair. You also see a windowed red door.

Osalle, the bright-eyed young clerk is the official registrar of Kraken’s Fall. His job is to teach how to register items.

Nodding, her expression turning serious, Osalle says, "Registering your items is very important. You must do it if your item is important to you. Should you accidentally lose your item, this will help officials to track it down for you. Mind you, if you lose it to the foul play of bandits or creatures, you'll want to speak to the Adventurer's Guild, but that is another topic for another time. To properly register your item, you need only hold it in your hand and REGISTER it. You can always come back to me when you have it in hand and ask me for REGISTER INFO (and your item). I'd be happy to share any information with you."

Absently gesturing into the air, Osalle says, "Oh, yes, you can register almost any item that you desire. Especially if it is one that you will miss. The Office of Genealogy is located down the eastern hallway in the Inking Den.

Stretched along the western wall of the small office is an enormous map of Kraken's Fall, its surrounding environs, and the stretch of the Tenebrous Cauldron. Positioned to face the door, a small desk covered with a variety of papers, files, and quills has a small chair set behind it. You also see a weathered pale elven clerk.

Arbosa continues, "You can register your existing surname, which will prevent others from registering it for themselves. For more information about that, ask me about REGISTER. In the future, you will be able to RESERVE your surname, which I'll explain in greater detail if you ask me about it."
Arbosa adds, "If you'd like to share your surname with the others in your current group, you can ask me to SHARE your name. If you'd like to take on a new surname, you can ask me to CHANGE NAME to something new, although this will only work for taking on the name of your spouse, or on names that have just been shared by someone in your group."
Arbosa concludes, "If you are married, you can ask me to CHANGE NAME TO SPOUSE and if both of you are present, I will record your spouse's last name as yours."

The young clerk smiles sunnily at you, "Moving, are we? How nice!" he says. The young clerk consults some files, running a delicate finger down each page as he reads.
The young clerk says to you, "Ah, here we are...I see you're a Four Winds member, Wyrmheart. Would you like us to ship your locker for you?"
The young clerk smiles at you, waiting patiently for your response.
Lockers
Traveling northwest from the Inking Den vestibule will bring you to the public lockers. Travelling northeast from the vestibule will bring you to your house annex and locker.

| Glass-fronted lanterns dangle from wrought iron rings anchored to the ceiling to provide uniform lighting throughout the vestibule. Several hallways branch outward from this point, each decorated with either navy blue or cerulean rugs that help to cut down on the echoing of voices and footsteps off of the stone walls. An etched bronze sign is tacked to the lower half of the northern wall, while above it the towering image of a large black kraken being skewered by a bowsprit is painted in brilliant detail.
