CHE Parades & Floats
Created by GM Haliste, CHEs may now request parades for their event, provided they have a float designed already.
Requesting a Parade
- Use the googleform to submit a request: CHE Parade Request Form
- Parade requests are accepted on the same timeline as the Monthly Event Support requests (due by the 3rd month prior to the month of the event)
- If using pre-existing floats, fill in each float requested and indicate it already exists
- If this is a multi-House event, also indicate which House owns the float, as they are stored by House
- If building new floats, ensure each entry is completed in its entirety
- 1 float can be rideable by up to 8 people. Indicate which one (if any) that is in the form entry
Designing A Float
- Require guru approval and QC
- Once created, a float is stored for the creating CHE and can be reused by them
- Custom messaging is not mandatory but includes:
- Arrival message of the float
- Departure message of the float
- Idle message of the float (up to 3)
Running A Parade
- Requires a GM be present behind-the-scenes to set everything up and kick it off
- If you plan on riding a float, you need to be in the start room so you can get on it
- After the parade starts, the floats will show up in the start room...you have a limited time to get on the rideable float before it moves to the next room. Once it moves, there is no getting on it
- You do not have to have a rideable float. A lot of people opt to walk along with them and hand out souvenirs, etc.
- If you are on the float, as it moves from room to room, you can PEER and see the bystanders along the route
- Parades follow a preset route, with each float entering and idling before moving to the next room
- While idling, the custom idle messages (if applicable) will fire
Costs
- 1 IP per float design
- 1 IP to run a parade
