Grand Stable, West Wing

[Grand Stable, West Wing - 8209132]
On the north side of the wide alley running the length of the stable, a freshly-constructed low pinewood wall surrounds a damp grey flagstone floor to create a large stall. Long-handled brushes stand at the ready next to white oak barrels filled with water that line the western wall, while horseshoe picks lay on the flagstones next to a simple red stool resting in the far east corner. Across the alley to the south, two stalls stand side by side. You also see a west stall, an east stall and a wide door.

In the white oak barrels you see: some crystal clear water.

Behind the white oak barrels you see: a coiled black snake.

High ceilings and propped-open windows allow the free flow of air to circulate above the wide alley that runs through the center of the stable. On the northern side, an area has been built to store tack. Reins, bits, and blinders hang from blued-steel hooks anchored to pine walls, while saddles and blankets are stacked on low shelves. On the southern side of the alley, two stalls sit side by side, blued-steel latches securing their lower half-doors shut. You also see a west stall and an east stall.
Obvious exits: east, west

Grand Stable, Center

[Grand Stable, Center - 8209134]
This large central area of the stable is bustling with activity. Fresh pine struts rise from the cobblestone floors to support rafters that create a high peaked ceiling overhead, with large windows lining the walls above that allow fresh air and light into the busy space. Traveling through the entire structure from east to west is a wide alley large enough to accommodate equine traffic. A large chalkboard with bold yellow letters scrawled across it has been posted here, designating stall assignments and staffing. You also see a long wooden gate that leads to the arena.

Numerous bales of freshly cut golden hay fill a large stall on the northern side of the spacious alley. Red-handled pitchforks stand upright, spearing the hay bales, while a small green cart stands close by. Stray stalks of hay weave themselves between the cracks of the dark grey cobblestones that make up the floor. On the southern side of the wide alley are two stalls, their lower half-doors latched with blued-steel hardware. You also see a west stall and an east stall.

Wrought iron hooks hold various bits of tack and harnesses in place, the fixtures high enough in the air that the ends don't drag upon the smooth dirt ground. A generous supply of grain spills from a nearby feedbag, while chilled water glistens in a low trough.
