The TRASH verb is a special use case verb which will identify a trash can in a room; attempt to put trash in that trash can; or discard junk items without a trash can.

Usage:
    TRASH         - Identify a trash receptacle in your current room.
    TRASH <item>  - Attempts to throw an item away.

No argument - no trash barrel present.	You do not notice a trash receptacle here.	None
No argument - trash barrel present.	You could discard items in a large purple wooden barrel.	None
Target - trash barrel present.	As you place a red stick into a large purple wooden barrel you feel pleased with yourself at having cleaned up the surrounding area.You could discard items in a large purple wooden barrel.	None
Target - junk	Identifying a chipped brick as junk, you give a chipped brick a quick once-over and discard it.	None

You do not notice a trash receptacle here.
