Uploaded Image Patrols
Ongoing record of images needing copyright/attribution information added.
- User talk:TGO01: Hello, TGO01. You recently uploaded several images to the wiki that are missing information required by Gswiki:Policy. Those images are File:Dreaven.jpg, File:Bochser 1.jpg, and File:Xess.jpg. Please see Gswiki:Policy#Copyrights for more information about the image policy and its requirement to note image creators, what AI imaging software was used (if any), and if permission was granted by the creator to upload the image to the wiki. This information needs to be on the images as well as on all articles using them. In addition, all images using AI software in their creation are required to be included in Category:AI artwork. To add that text to the image file, you will need to click on "Edit Source" on the image file itself and add all of the required information, plus [[Category:AI artwork]] to include it in the appropriate category for AI artwork.
- If that information is not added within 7 days, these images will be deleted from the wiki. Please do not remove the {{moddelete}} template from the images. Another moderator or I will remove that template after your updates have been reviewed to ensure that they meet Gswiki:Policy requirements. If you have any questions about this process or need more information about the updated policy for images, please reach out to the wiki team on the Gemstone Discord forum's wiki thread. Thank you for understanding. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 10:20, 16 May 2024 (CDT)
- Hello again, TGO01. Thank you for updating the information for File:Xess.jpg. I have deleted File:Bochser 1.jpg per your request. File:Dreaven.jpg is still missing some information required by Gswiki:Policy#Copyrights. As your updated caption indicates that it was created by another person and that you have permission from the copyright holder to upload it, it is considered Commissioned Artwork. Commissioned Artwork requires that the name (or handle) of the artist be included when they retain the copyright of the image, and this will need to be added to both the image file and the article displaying it. I have updated the banner to state that you have 7 days from today's date, as opposed to the date of my last message to you, to add that information or it will be deleted from the wiki.
