Oddments and Ephemera, Entry

[Oddments and Ephemera, Entry - 4422901]
Beyond the ashwood door leading into the wagon lies a cluttered entryway, bracketed on either side with pockmarked shelving crowded with knickknacks, dried mushrooms, a collection of candy jars, and other miscellanea. Perched precariously on one sagging shelf, a neatly printed placard rests catawampus near an assortment of boxes. A shabby magenta rug with carefully mended patches covers most of the floor.
Obvious exits: north

On the sagging shelf you see: a polished oak cylinder, a fine-grained linden coffret, an alum-chased sphere, a diminutive ora trunk inset with snowstone clouds, a small cylinder with spiraling bands of gold and silver, a scarlet laje sphere enameled with irregular white hearts, a naefira-carved chest of lacquered aeunarad, a delicate tanik canister etched with beleria in full bloom, a mirror-polished jadewood egg sporting gleaming gold hinges, a rose gold box inset with tightly closed ivory rosebuds, and a neatly printed placard.

a neatly printed placard
In the Common language, it reads:
Further into the wagon you'll find a selection of lockets. Further still, you'll find my workshop. Try not to break anything.

Oddments and Ephemera, Further

[Oddments and Ephemera, Further - 4422902]
Soft candlelight illuminates the tapestry-covered walls and reveals a mosaic floor depicting ever-widening tiled spirals of every hue imaginable. Along each wall, lengthy tables fashioned of mismatched doors atop waist-high piles of junk are burdened with jewelry cases, books, and a disorganized gallimaufry of other goods. At the far end of the room, a weighty patchwork curtain effectively conceals what lies beyond.
Obvious exits: south

In the jewelry case you see: a bee-doodled note, a mekret-winged fairy locket, a ruby-flamed gold candle locket, a shell-shaped miriam stone locket, a blued steel thunderbolt locket, a key-etched copper locket, a white gold ship's wheel locket, a petrified ebonwood locket, a pristine white granite locket, a frosted glass heart-shaped locket, a tarnished silver dagger locket, a bone-inlaid pair of dice locket, and an electrum and faenor-banded locket.

a bee-doodled note

In the Common language, it reads:
Each locket in the case will capture an image of whomever first opens it. Some hints as to their personalities:

The dagger locket is for those of an evil bent.
The copper locket is for someone who is flirty.
The candle locket is for bookish types.
The fairy locket features a giggly person.
The thunderbolt locket is for those of a stormy nature.
The faenor-banded locket suits a vain person.
The dice locket features a gambler portrait.
The heart-shaped locket is for those of a romantic nature.
The granite locket is for those who have a streak of daredevil in them.
The ship's wheel locket features a confident captain of a ship.
The miriam stone locket is for those of a joyful nature.
The ebonwood locket features a haughty person.

This is the "Variable Expression" version of a portrait locket. The following may be altered by a willing merchant: the base (15/15/15); a long description; the picture that is visible inside of the locket when it is open; the outside surface (this will always be preceded by the words, "The outside of the locket is"); and the read. None of these aspects may contradict one another.

To create a portrait of yourself in the locket, simply OPEN it while it is in your right hand. Once the portrait is made, you cannot alter the picture without the help of a willing merchant. Bear in mind that when the initial portrait is made of someone using this locket, it will show him or her as a giggly person. Some merchants may be willing to change the initial portrait "personality" (prior to the portrait being taken) for you (options are: curmudgeon, giggly, evil, haughty, joyful/adventurous, flirt, moody, confident, triumphant, happy drunk, peaceful, bookworm, romantic, gambler, vain, daredevil).

Currently you are able to COVER, OPEN, TUCK, and CLOSE the locket. This locket may be unlocked further by a very small handful of merchants.

A small handful of merchants may be able and willing to attune this locket to a beloved.
