Introduced in the storyline Nations on the Brink, Jillou is a scamp of a child that often is out and about for mischief. She asked for assistance one night searching for crawfish, only to find herself surrounded by Knights, Magisters, Rangers, Dhe'Nar, and all manner of individuals. While intimidated by them at first, her precocious attitude won through after only a single serenade and she's been around frequently, getting in and out of trouble along the way.

She was convinced to go to school in order to start a trade business to sell her crawfish and has been caught skipping school by a local couple.

A fast friend, she attends the Solhaven School with Reynai and Akinir Scallabrini.

Her father, known only as Paw Paw, runs the Marshtown Cafe, while her sister Tallulah works the cafe as a waitress. Jillou has said on more than one occasion that her sister was taking night classes at the School. She's also claimed that her sister used to be part of the Solhaven Niiman Order, but had to leave because she couldn't sing.

She likes to frequent the caves on the Vornavian shore, the drawings there fascinate her.
