The Contests at Bericsaba Market
Thank you to everyone who took part in our contests. We are excited to see the competitions play out on Ornath during the weekend of April 4th to 6th. Here are some things you will need to know ahead of time:
- Opening Ceremonies for Bericsaba Market will be at 9:00 PM EDT on April 4th.
- During the weekend, there will be plenty of NPC interactions, merchants, and of course the contests.
- Closing Ceremonies for Bericsaba Market will be at 3:00 PM EDT on April 6th, but we will leave the market open until 9 pm on April 9th.
Regarding the contests, there are multiple types of contests. We have the following setup:
Blind Tasting
The contests below will be open for all to take part and judge. They will be created as a Blind Flight using the charcuterie boards. A single representative of either the contest, market, or foreign representative will provide the board to those present. Taste testing will happen and then a discussion on the individual items will take place. Voting will commence afterward.
Blind Tasting Contests
- The Illistimi Culinary Arts Academy Presents: Our Special-tea
- The Spirited Affair: A Battle of Distilled Delights
- The Crowning Foam: Brewed to Perfection
- The Decadent Sip: Making Pour Decisions
Presentations
The contests below will have a presentation component to them. The individual foods will be given to judges (those NOT participating) on a small plate. The contest official will read the contestants' presentation (offered as part of the contest) and then all judges will take a bite of the food and judge the contest on three criteria: Originality of both presentation and representation, use of the theme/ingredient, and taste. Voting will commence afterwards.
Presentation Contests
- The Pitched Pickle: A Battle for the Ages
- It's Bee-Lightful: Sweet Like Honey
- Frozen Assets: A Chilling Competition
Voting Booth Contests
The contests below will be arranged in voting tents throughout the market. For the food contests, a single plate with 2-bite samples of each entry will be placed on a table. For the perfume contest, a single dose of perfume will be placed out for each entry. For the glassblowing contest, a representation of each piece will be on display. Voting will be open from 9pm on April 4th through noon on April 6th, with the results shared at the closing ceremony.
Voting Booth Contests
- Forged in Fire: A Glassblower’s Challenge
- The Perfect Slice: A Battle of Crust and Filling
- The Briny Bite: A Feast from the Deep
- Whisked Away: A Pastry Perfection Contest
- Essence of Victory: A Fragrant Showdown
- The Rise and Fall: A Leavening Agent
- The Daily Scoop: Dipping into Fun
Overall Competition and Discussion
The schedule for the contests is posted on both the Gemstone Calendar for Bericsaba Market and as individual events. This schedule is reflected on the wiki.
Those contests that had fewer than 5 entries will have entries added by town NPCs. Those contests that had greater than 5 entries will no longer be voted out but will instead all be accepted as part of the contest.
Only one contest received no entries. We understand that citizenship for this particular contest may have been confusing and apologize. As a result, this contest will be a voting booth contest and 100% NPC entries for your voting. All contests will have two Ornathian entries.
After the Awards Ceremony
Once the awards ceremony is completed, all food/drink items will be placed out for sale. And yes, they will be able to be basketed.
All perfumes will be on sale as well. Once the contest ends, they will be moved to the Perfume Shop (Sojourn Scents) in Agora Promenade.
We are still working out how to handle the glassblowing contest items. Please bear with us as we navigate this unique contest.
Between now and the start of Bericsaba Market all characters that entered the contests should expect to see personal invitations to the Market along with a listing of when and where their contest will be expected to take place.
2025 Bericsaba Market Contests
3/4/25 - Solhaven Invitation
Aritisan Zieschka met with citizens of Solhaven to share a letter that she had received.
In the Common language, it reads: Deliver to the Solhaven Merchantile Guild, Vornavis Day 2 of the month Charlatos in the year 5125 Most Honored Artisan Zieschka, With Olaesta fast approaching, the Isle of Ornath prepares to once again throw open its gates for the grand spectacle of Bericsaba Market. A celebration of craft, competition, and tradition, the market draws together the finest artisans, chefs, and vintners of the island to test their skills against one another in contests of great renown. This year, as we welcome challengers from beyond our shores, there is one name that our vintners have spoken of with a particular reverence... Vornavis. Though years have passed since the famed Vornavian Red of 5001 first graced the lips of the fortunate, its legend has never faded. It is said that the finest vintages do not simply vanish but instead leave an indelible mark upon the world, inspiring those who follow. With that in mind, it is with great admiration that we extend to you, and to those vintners of Solhaven and Vornavis who yet hold to the art, an invitation to The Decadent Sip: Making Pour Decisions, a contest dedicated to the noble craft of winemaking. This is not a contest of mere fermentation but of legacy, of patience, and of the mastery required to capture the land's very essence in a single pour. The vintners of Ornath have long cultivated their own varieties, drawing from the island's unique soil and climate to produce blends of complexity and depth. Yet even they are eager to see if the spirit that once brought forth the Vornavian Red still thrives. It would be an honor to see Solhaven and Vornavis take their rightful place among this year's competitors, whether to rekindle an old legend or to forge an entirely new one. With the Mana Storms receding, travel to Ornath has become far more accessible. The Chronomages have granted a transportation house in Sleeping Drake Harbor to aid in facilitating travel, ensuring an easier journey for those eager to attend. The harbor itself is nearing completion on its latest expansions and will be well-prepared to receive shipments, while the stables are expected to be finished in time for those who travel by mount. It is our sincere hope that you will accept this invitation not only to stand among our competitors but to remind us all that fine wine is more than a drink; it is history, captured in a glass. Whether as participants, judges, or honored guests, the vintners of Vornavis and Solhaven would be most welcome at Bericsaba Market. With the highest regard, Fevronia, Sister of the Lumnasi Viragos On Behalf of the Bericsaba Market Committee

It was decided by the Merchantile Guild of Solhaven that they would hold a contest and let the citizens of Solhaven present their favorite wines for the contests abroad.
3/4/25 - Cysaegir Invitation
Representative Nysdael held an impromptu meeting in Cysaegir to discuss the letter that was sent to her from the Isle of Ornath.
In the Common language, it reads: Deliver to Rhyaesidid Hall, Cysaegir Day 2 of the month Charlatos in the year 5125 Honored Representative Nysdael, As the first full weekend of Olaesta nears, the Isle of Ornath prepares to once again welcome artisans, culinarians, and competitors to Bericsaba Market. For one weekend, the Sleeping Drake Harbor transforms into a lively spectacle of trade, skill, and rivalry, where the finest crafts and flavors are put to the test. This year, as we extend invitations beyond our shores, an interesting matter has come to our attention, one that simply must be settled. Rumors, as they often do, have made their way to Ornath, and if they are mistaken, we offer our sincerest apologies for any presumption. However, it has been said that Cysaegir fancies itself something of an expert when it comes to dips. As you may already know, the people of Ornath hold a similar pride in their own cherished recipes, and as such, we can hardly let such claims go unchallenged. With great enthusiasm, we extend to you and the citizenry of Cysaegir a formal invitation to The Daily Scoop: Dipping into Fun, a contest devoted entirely to the art of the dip. From the richest and creamiest blends to the most unexpected and daring combinations, this is a test of balance, innovation, and, above all, flavor. Whether the preferred accompaniment is bread, crisp vegetables, or something more unique, each entry must stand on its own as a masterpiece of texture and taste. Our islanders are eager to pit their recipes against the very best, and if Cysaegir holds claim to such expertise, there would be no finer place to prove it than at Bericsaba Market. With the Mana Storms receding, travel to Ornath has become far more accessible. The Chronomages have granted a transportation house in Sleeping Drake Harbor to aid in facilitating travel, ensuring an easier journey for those eager to attend. The harbor itself is nearing completion on its latest expansions and will be well-prepared to receive guests by sea, while the stables are expected to be finished in time for those traveling by mount. It is our hope that Cysaegir will rise to the occasion and take part in this most flavorful of challenges. Whether in competition, as judges, or as honored guests, your presence would be most welcome at this year's Bericsaba Market. With anticipation and good humor, Fevronia, Sister of the Lumnasi Viragos On Behalf of the Bericsaba Market Committee
It was decided that the citizens of Cysaegir will compete in this contest with hopes that they will become known for their dips!
3/5/25 - Kraken's Fall Invitation
Gentleman Hoorne met with the people of Kraken's Fall to share a communication that he had received from the Bericsaba Market Committee on a special contest for longstanding Kraken's Fall citizens.
In the Common language, it reads: Deliver to The Inking Den of Kraken's Fall Day 2 of the month Charlatos in the year 5125 To the Esteemed Gentleman Hoorne of the Kraken's Fall Tourism Council (or equivalent authority): Honored Sir, As Olaesta approaches, the Isle of Ornath readies itself for the grand spectacle of Bericsaba Market. For one weekend, Sleeping Drake Harbor will swell with the voices of merchants, the clash of rivalries, and the scent of the finest island fare as competitors gather to prove their mastery in their chosen crafts. This year, as we open our gates to new challengers beyond our shores, it seems only right to extend an invitation to the famed islanders of Kraken's Fall -- after all, if anyone knows their spirits, surely it is you and yours. With great enthusiasm, we invite you and your finest distillers to The Spirited Affair: A Battle of Distilled Delights. This contest is not for the faint of heart nor the merely adequate. It is a test of true craftsmanship, where spirits are judged not simply by their strength but by their depth, their character, and the mastery with which they are blended and aged. From the fiery bite of expertly crafted whiskey to the subtle allure of a well-infused liqueur, this competition will determine who among us truly holds dominion over the art of distillation. There are few names whispered with as much reverence in matters of drink as those of Kraken's Fall. It would be a fine thing indeed to see your best step forward, bringing their barrels, their bottles, and their boldest creations to stand against the finest Ornath has to offer. Our islanders are eager for the challenge, but they would be all the more eager to test their mettle against those with a true reputation for the craft. With the Mana Storms receding, travel to Ornath has become far more reliable. The Chronomages have sanctioned a transportation house in Sleeping Drake Harbor, ensuring easy access for those making the journey. For those arriving by sea, the harbor's expansions are near completion and will be ready to receive ships. Our stables are also expected to be finished in time for those whose preferred means of arrival is by mount. We hope you will join us in raising a glass and in proving, once and for all, whose spirits stand above the rest. Whether as competitors, judges, or honored guests, the people of Kraken's Fall would bring great distinction to Bericsaba Market. With eager anticipation, Fevronia, Sister of the Lumnasi Viragos On Behalf of the Bericsaba Market Committee

3/5/25 - Teras Isle Invitation
Knyvet of the Ragnak Clan met with citizens of Kharam-Dzu to share a communication that had been handed down to her from the clan leaders.
In the Common language, it reads: Deliver to the Clan Leaders of Teras Isle Day 2 of the month Charlatos in the year 5125 To the Esteemed Clan Leaders of Teras Isle, As Olaesta approaches, the Isle of Ornath once again prepares for the grand spectacle of Bericsaba Market. For one weekend, Sleeping Drake Harbor will be alive with the calls of traders, the scent of sizzling fare, and the friendly clash of competition as artisans put their skills to the test. This year, as we extend invitations beyond our shores, our attention has turned to Teras Isle -- and, admittedly, to a curiosity that has captured our imagination. I must confess, we do not know if Teras Isle is famed for its bread. If it is, that secret has been well kept. But recent readings have led us to Beard Bread, a topic that has intrigued the people of Ornath to no end. Whether true or exaggerated, we cannot let this mystery lie unanswered. It is with great enthusiasm that we invite the skilled bakers of Teras Isle to The Rise and Fall: A Leavening Agent, a contest dedicated to the noble craft of breadmaking. From soft, pillowy loaves to dense and hearty rations, bread is a staple of every culture, shaped by the lands from which it comes. The islanders of Ornath take great pride in their own traditions, but they would be honored to test their skills against those of Teras Isle. Whether the famed Beard Bread makes an appearance or some other masterful creation rises to the occasion, this contest is a challenge of flavor, texture, and time-honored skill. With the Mana Storms receding, travel to Ornath has become far more accessible. The Chronomages have sanctioned a transportation house in Sleeping Drake Harbor, ensuring an easier journey for those eager to attend. The harbor's expansions near completion, ready to receive ships from across the sea, while the stables should be finished in time for mounted travelers. It is our hope that Teras Isle will take up this challenge and join us in good-spirited competition. Whether as contestants, judges, or honored guests, your presence would be a welcome addition to this year's Bericsaba Market. With warm regards and eager anticipation, Fevronia, Sister of the Lumnasi Viragos On Behalf of the Bericsaba Market Committee

3/6/25 - Ta'Vaalor Invitation
Compound Leader Prisys Taplemiple and Fripyck the Keeper of the Bees met with several citizens of Ta'Vaalor to share the invitation the city-state received.
Deliver to Yasrenila Compound, Ta'Vaalor Day 2 of the month Charlatos in the year 5125 Honored Prisys Taplemiple, As the first full weekend of Olaesta draws near, the Isle of Ornath hums with excitement for the return of Bericsaba Market. A celebration of craft, competition, and community, the market is a time when islanders gather to test their skills, share their wares, and revel in the friendly rivalries that have defined this annual event. This year, with our invitations reaching beyond our shores, there is one contest in particular that calls for the finest artisans of Ta'Vaalor and perhaps the finest beekeepers of them all. It is with great enthusiasm that we invite the citizenry of Ta'Vaalor, through the Yasrenila Compound, to take part in It's Bee-Lightful: Sweet Like Honey, a contest devoted to all things honey. From the richest golden drizzles to the most masterfully infused confections, this competition seeks to honor the delicate art of beekeeping and the countless delights it provides. Those who know the ways of the hive understand that honey is more than sweetness; it is patience, precision, and a harmony between keeper and bee. Given the renown of your skills and the whispered tales of your songs among the hives, we can think of no finer challenger to test Ornath's best. With the Mana Storms receding, travel to Ornath has become far more accessible. The Chronomages have granted a transportation house in Sleeping Drake Harbor, easing the journey for those eager to attend. Our harbor's expansions are nearing completion, ready to receive those arriving by sea, while the stables should be finished in time for mounted travelers. It would be an honor to welcome you and the people of Ta'Vaalor to this most golden of competitions. Whether as a contestant, a judge, or simply an esteemed guest, your presence would make this year's Bericsaba Market all the sweeter. With warmest regards and eager anticipation, Fevronia, Sister of the Lumnasi Viragos On Behalf of the Bericsaba Market Committee
3/6/25 - Wehnimer's Landing Invitation
Anisbithe, the daughter of Duwach Tidbit, who owns the Grocer on Winter St, visited the Hearthstone Porch at her father's instruction. Earlier in the day, Gert, Krythussa, and Duwach all received letters from the island of Ornath. Since many of them are busy running their businesses, they asked her to bring the letters to the porch in hopes that locals would want to take up the invite.
In the Common language, it reads: Deliver to Krythussa's Confectionary Shop, Cheridin Ave, Wehnimer's Landing Day 2 of the month Charlatos in the year 5125 To the Esteemed Citizens of Wehnimer's Landing, As the first full weekend of Olaesta approaches, the Isle of Ornath eagerly prepares for the return of Bericsaba Market. For one weekend, the harbor will come alive with the clash of friendly rivalries, the scent of exquisite fare, and the lively hum of artisans and culinarians putting their skills to the test. This year, as we invite challengers from beyond our shores, our thoughts turn to a town once spoken of in hushed, reverent tones when it came to the art of pie making. Wehnimer's Landing was once the mecca of pie creation, a place where crusts were flaky, fillings divine, and the very spirit of competition thrived in every carefully crafted pastry. There was a time when citizens took great pride in their pies, elevating the humble dish to something truly legendary. But time can be unkind, and we recognize that the past six years have left you bereft of your prized and fabled pie shop. For this, you have our sympathies but also our curiosity. The question now stands: does Wehnimer's Landing still have what it takes? It is with great enthusiasm that we invite you to The Perfect Slice: A Battle of Crust and Filling, a contest dedicated to the mastery of pie making. Whether sweet or savory, delicate or hearty, the true challenge lies in achieving perfection in both the crust and the filling. The people of Ornath are eager to prove their skill, but they would consider no contest truly worthy unless Wehnimer's finest stepped forward to compete. With the Mana Storms receding, travel to Ornath has become far more accessible. The Chronomages have sanctioned a transportation house in Sleeping Drake Harbor, easing the journey for those eager to attend. The harbor's expansions are nearing completion and will be well-equipped to receive visitors by sea, while the stables should be finished in time for mounted travelers. We hope you will join us, whether to reclaim your title, challenge new rivals, or simply indulge in the joy of competition. Whether as contestants, judges, or honored guests, the people of Wehnimer's Landing would be most welcome at this year's Bericsaba Market. With eager anticipation and warm regard, Fevronia, Sister of the Lumnasi Viragos On Behalf of the Bericsaba Market Committee
A copy of the letter was placed on the message board in Town Square East.

For one weekend, Sleeping Drake Harbor will be transformed into a grand festival of trade, camaraderie, and spirited competition, where artisans and culinarians from all walks of life gather to test their craft against one another. This year, we look beyond our shores to seek true masters of their trades, and when it comes to ale, there are few names spoken with more reverence than those of Zul Logoth. It is with great admiration that we formally invite the famed brewmasters of Zul Logoth to The Crowning Foam: Brewed to Perfection, a contest dedicated to the art of ale. Across Elanith, it is said that if anyone knows a fine brew, it is the dwarves of Zul Logoth. Your techniques are the stuff of legend, spoken of in taverns both grand and humble, and we would be honored to see your finest ales put to the test against the best Ornath has to offer. Whether golden and crisp, dark and rich, or something wholly unexpected, this is a challenge of balance, depth, and the mastery that turns grain and water into liquid gold. With the Mana Storms receding, travel to Ornath has become far more accessible. The Chronomages have sanctioned a transportation house in Sleeping Drake Harbor, easing the journey for those eager to attend. The harbor itself nears completion on its expansions, ready to receive ships, while the stables should be finished in time for those who prefer to travel mounted. We hope that Zul Logoth will send its finest to answer this challenge and share in the spirit of friendly competition. Whether as competitors, judges, or honored guests, your presence would bring great distinction to this year's Bericsaba Market. 3/7/25 - Icemule Trace and Glaeve Invitation
Representative Hazelnut Honeybrook posted a message on the town message board and then came to speak with folks.
Deliver to Cloverleaf Hall in Icemule Trace, Northwatch Day 2 of the month Charlatos in the year 5125 Honored Representative Honeybrook, As Olaesta approaches and the season of renewal begins, the Isle of Ornath eagerly prepares for the return of Bericsaba Market. For one weekend, Sleeping Drake Harbor will be filled with the hum of trade, the scent of exquisite fare, and the fierce yet friendly rivalry of artisans and culinarians eager to prove their mastery. This year, with our invitations reaching beyond our shores, it is only fitting that we extend a warm welcome to the people of Northwatch and its neighboring lands. First, let me offer our admiration for the perseverance and spirit shown by the people of Icemule Trace in these past seasons. Mayor Talliver Dabbings has guided the town with steadfast resolve, and while we do not wish to presume, know that Ornath watches with respect. It is with great enthusiasm that we invite the citizens of Icemule Trace to Whisked Away: A Pastry Perfection Contest, a competition dedicated to the mastery of desserts. Whether rich and decadent or airy and delicate, pastries are a testament to patience and precision. The islanders of Ornath take pride in their sweets, but we have heard much of Icemule's own confections and would welcome the chance to see whose hands truly craft the finest treats. At the same time, we would be remiss if we did not also extend an invitation to The Briny Bite: A Feast from the Deep, a contest honoring the bounty of the sea. The people of Glaeve and the northern settlements know well the hardship and triumph of surviving in an unforgiving land, and with that comes a deep respect for the ocean's gifts. Whether dried, smoked, or served fresh, seafood is a craft all its own, demanding skill in preparation and a keen understanding of flavor. Ornathians have long relied upon the sea for sustenance, but we would be honored to test our traditions against those of the north. With the Mana Storms receding, travel to Ornath has become far more accessible. The Chronomages have granted a transportation house in Sleeping Drake Harbor, ensuring an easier journey for those eager to attend. Our harbor's expansions are near completion, ready to receive ships from across the sea, while the stables should be finished in time to accommodate mounted travelers. It is our hope that Northwatch, both Icemule Trace and Glaeve, will take up these challenges and join us in the spirit of friendly competition. Whether as contestants, judges, or honored guests, your presence would bring great distinction to this year's Bericsaba Market. With warm regards and eager anticipation, Fevronia, Sister of the Lumnasi Viragos On Behalf of the Bericsaba Market Committee

Those who have tasted such delicacies know well that your frozen creations are more than mere desserts; they are a testament to skill, innovation, and an understanding of flavors at their most refined. It is with great enthusiasm that we invite you and the finest artisans of Mist Harbor to Frozen Assets: A Chilling Competition, a contest devoted to frozen treats in all their forms. Whether delicate sorbets, rich creams, or inventive ices infused with island flavors, this is a battle of technique and taste. The people of Ornath take pride in their own confections, but they would be honored to test their skills against those who have long been recognized as masters of the craft. 3/8/25 - Global Invitation 2
All across Elanthia, the following letter could be found on town message boards. In some spaces, they were left on benches.
To the Esteemed Perfumers, Alchemists, and Artisans of Elanith, As the first full weekend of Olaesta approaches, the Isle of Ornath readies itself for the grand spectacle of Bericsaba Market. For one weekend, Sleeping Drake Harbor will be transformed into a vibrant festival of trade, artistry, and spirited competition, where masters of their craft put their skills to the test. Among the many contests that will be held, one stands apart; a challenge of elegance, precision, and the invisible artistry that lingers long after its creator has gone. It is with great anticipation that we invite the finest perfumers, alchemists, and fragrance artisans of Elanith to Essence of Victory: A Fragrant Showdown, a competition devoted to the mastery of scent. Whether floral or spiced, light or intoxicating, each entry must be more than just pleasing; it must be unforgettable. A perfect fragrance tells a story, evokes emotion, and leaves its mark upon all who encounter it. This is a contest of balance, inspiration, and a deft hand in the blending of oils, essences, and resins. Ornathians have long prided themselves on the subtle complexities of their perfumes and botanical distillations, but no craft is tested in isolation. It is our wish to welcome perfumers from across the lands to showcase their skill, to share their knowledge, and -- should they dare -- to compete for the honor of producing a scent worthy of true renown. With the Mana Storms receding, travel to Ornath has become far more accessible. The Chronomages have sanctioned a transportation house in Sleeping Drake Harbor, ensuring ease of travel for those making the journey. The harbor's expansions near completion, ready to receive ships from across the sea, while the stables should be finished in time for mounted travelers. What began as a simple gathering of farmers and artisans has grown into a celebration of craft, competition, and camaraderie. For one weekend, the harbor thrums with the voices of traders and the artistry of culinary masters, each vying for distinction in their chosen field. This year, however, the festival seeks to elevate its offerings beyond mere rivalry, and there is no greater testament to refinement and skill than the art of tea. Participants will present their most exquisite tea blends, showcasing not only the quality of their ingredients but also their knowledge of balance, aroma, and preparation. The islanders of Ornath have long cultivated their own traditions in this regard, favoring local herbs and coastal infusions, but they are eager to learn from and compete against the finest minds Ta'Illistim has to offer. To have the competition under your guidance would be both an honor and an inspiration. With the Mana Storms receding, travel to Ornath has become far more accessible. The Chronomages have granted a transportation house in Sleeping Drake Harbor, easing the journey for those who wish to attend. The harbor itself nears completion on its latest expansions and will be well-equipped to receive visitors by sea, while the stables are expected to be finished in time to accommodate mounted travelers. It is our sincerest hope that you will accept this invitation, not only as a guest but as a guiding force in shaping a contest worthy of your esteemed expertise. Whether as a judge, an advisor, or even a competitor, should you wish it, your presence would elevate Bericsaba Market to new heights. With the highest regard and warmest invitation, Fevronia, Sister of the Lumnasi Viragos On Behalf of the Bericsaba Market Committee
3/9/25 - River's Rest Invitation
Astridel Moomph, Chair of Moomph & Zeyquph's Pickle, Olive, and Persimmon Artisan Society, met with several citizens and friends to present the following missive from Ornath:
You remove a gilt-edged emerald green parchment from in your leather satchel. In the Common language, it reads: Deliver to Moomph & Zeyquph's Pickle, Olive, and Persimmon Artisan Society of River's Rest, Torre Day 2 of the month Charlatos in the year 5125 To the Esteemed Astridel Moomph, Warmest greetings from the Isle of Ornath! As the first full weekend of Olaesta approaches, the islanders of Sleeping Drake Harbor are bustling with preparations for this year's Bericsaba Market. Once a simple gathering of farmers, poulterers, and artisans, the market has grown into an event that stirs rivalries, fosters camaraderie, and celebrates the finest skills of our people. For one weekend, the harbor square will overflow with the scent of freshly grilled fish, the vibrant calls of merchants hawking their wares, and the spirited clamor of competition as islanders put their talents to the test. This year, however, we look beyond our shores to seek new challengers, and there are none we would rather extend our invitation to than the finest purveyors of preserved delicacies. It is with great anticipation that we formally invite you to The Pitched Pickle: A Battle for the Ages, a contest dedicated to all things pickled. From brined cucumbers to fermented fruits, from crisp, tart delicacies to spiced and aged curiosities, this battle is one of wit, technique, and tradition. River's Rest, of course, is well known for its love of pickles, and none have earned more renown in the craft than the artisans of the Moomph & Zeyquph Society. We cannot imagine a worthier opponent, and the islanders are eager to put their brining skills to the test against such lauded expertise. With the Mana Storms receding, travel to Ornath has become far more reliable. The Chronomages have sanctioned a transportation house in Sleeping Drake Harbor to aid in facilitating travel, ensuring an easier journey for those eager to attend. Additionally, the harbor dock expansion is nearing completion, ready to receive those arriving by sea, while the stables should be finished in time for those who prefer to travel mounted. We hope you will honor us with your presence and bring forth the finest pickled offerings River's Rest has to boast. Whether as competitors or as honored guests, we would be delighted to welcome you to the Isle of Ornath. With eager anticipation, Fevronia, Sister of the Lumnasi Viragos On Behalf of the Bericsaba Market Committee
