Article/Edits at Risk for Deletion
Hi there, STANESSA. In reviewing some of the recent updates, I saw that you have created or made edits to several character pages, Anferis (prime), Skylai (prime), and Khalypso (prime), which were either originally created and edited by another user or which you created and then another user edited after you. It is not clear who are the players behind Anferis, Skylai, and Khalypso.
There is no indication on any of the articles' Discussion/Talk tabs that Anferis, Skylai, or Khalypso's players gave you permission to create or edit a character page on their behalf. Gswiki:Policy prohibits users from editing character pages unless the character is theirs or they have been given permission by that character's player to make those edits. If you do have permission to edit these character pages, you will need to indicate this by clearly stating it on each of their Discussion/Talk tabs, Talk:Anferis (prime), Talk:Skylai (prime), and Talk:Khalypso (prime), that you have been given permission to do so by their respective player. Simply noting that in the edit reason for an article is not enough for Gswiki:Policy. Alternatively, the characters' players can put that information on the discussion page. When adding that information, please make sure to add ~~~~ at the end of your comments, which will automatically add a "signature" with your user name, plus the date and time of when your edit was made.
If you are the player behind either Anferis, Skylai, or Khalypso, and you have given permission to any other account to edit their character pages, then you will need to clearly state that on Talk:Anferis (prime), Talk:Skylai (prime), or Talk:Khalypso (prime). If you are using multiple accounts to edit a character, you will still need to include that permissions statement. Alternatively, those accounts with permission to edit it can add that information on your behalf. Edits made prior to July, 2023, are grandfathered into an earlier version of Gswiki:Policy for character pages and will not be reverted or deleted.
Related specifically to Anferis, if you are not Anferis' player, then you will also need to make updates related to File:Anferis.jpg. It currently states that it was created by Anferis' player, but there is no permission statement about whether or not Anferis' player gave you permission to upload it. That information will need to be updated on both the image file description and the article caption. If you are Anferis' player, you will just need to confirm this and the captions can remain as they are. I have flagged the image for moderator review and potential deletion pending your confirmation on whether or not you are Anferis' player, or whether Anferis' player gave you permission to create/edit a character page and upload an image on their behalf.
If you need examples on how to do this, Gswiki:Style guide/Images has copy/paste code examples for different image types. If you need instructions on how to do each step, Help:Images goes into detail on how to edit image files and how to display them with captions on articles.
If that information is not added within 7 days, the most recent character page edits, which includes all edits following those made by the pages' creators, as well as any moderator-flagged images will deleted from the wiki. Please do not remove the {{moddelete}} template from any flagged character page or image file. Another moderator or I will remove that template after your updates have been reviewed to ensure that they meet Gswiki:Policy requirements. If you have any questions about this process or need more information about the updated policy for images, please reach out to the wiki team on the Gemstone Discord forum's wiki thread. Thank you for understanding.
Lastly, I noticed that on recent image uploads and character pages created, you have placed [[Category:AI artwork]] on the character page and not on the image file. This category should be applied to the image file only and not to any character pages. I have made updates on your behalf to your recent uploaded images and pages created to correct that category, however in the future they will be moderator flagged for review and potential deletion. - Thank you very much for noting which character pages you had permission to create/edit on behalf of others! I really appreciate you also adding that permissions note to the additional ones that hadn't been flagged. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 10:03, 10 June 2025 (CDT)
Image at Risk for Deletion
Hello, STANESSA. You recently uploaded an image to the wiki, File:Nightpixie.jpg, that is missing some information required by Gswiki:Policy. Please see Gswiki:Policy#Copyrights for more information about the image policy and its requirement to note image creators, what AI imaging software was used (if any), and if permission was granted by the creator to upload the image to the wiki. This information needs to be on the images as well as on all articles using them. In addition, all images using AI software in their creation are required to be included in Category:AI artwork. To add that text to the image file, you will need to click on "Edit Source" on the image file itself and add all of the required information, plus [[Category:AI artwork]] to include it in the appropriate category for AI artwork.
If that information is not added within 7 days, this image will be deleted from the wiki. Please do not remove the {{moddelete}} template from the image. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 10:10, 10 April 2024 (CDT)
