The Instrument Tuner is a mechanical tool that indicates how well an instrument is tuned. When the tuner is held in one hand and TAPped, the instrument held in the other hand produces messaging ranging from a clear, perfect note to a nerve-grating dissonance. The tuner diagnoses the instrument's condition but does not tune it.

Off-the-Shelf

The tuner reports one of five tuning conditions for the instrument held in the user's other hand. An unusable or severely out-of-tune instrument produces a dull thud.
