The Bottle Contraption is a wonderful device that allows you to customize containers of:
- alcohol, vinegar, and crates made by the Alcohol Still
- juice and finishing touch jam made by the Jammy Juicer
- tea leaves and coffee grounds made by the Stovetop Dehydrator
Each "bottle" has four parts, each of which have five pre-sets in te bottle contraption, with the option to unlock more designs for each part:
- Bottle Design
- Stopper
- Label
- Etching
The sections that follow break out designing each part, and then a sample workflow for using the bottle contraption.
Bottle Design
The Bottle Design is what people see and must always include (alcohol adjective) and (alcohol noun); it must also be feasible for any type of material that can be added to the contraption for the bottle. Each Bottle Design needs a design for having dye and not having dye. Additional fields that may be in the design include: (material), (label color), (label adjective), (stopper).
- The (material) will be the material of the container created by your Alcohol Still unless a different material is added.
- The (label color) will be white if dye isn't added to the label resevoir.

Examples With Dye
- (a/an) (material) jug of (adjective) (alcohol noun) suffused with (material color) undertones
- a steel jug of milky moonshine suffused with blue undertones

Stopper Design
The Stopper Design is what closes the container. The stopper cannot be made of a rare material and must make sense for any bottle type. REMEMBER! If you have the GEM BUG STOPPER unlock, you can use a gem version of any Bugs on Parade bug, Life Aquatic creature, or Jeepers Creepers bird without taking up a Custom Stopper slot.

Label Design
The Label Design is the bottle's label, and consists of the (label adjective) of one or two words, and a short SHOW to provide more detail of the label. The SHOW can have a placeholder for the (bottle noun) and/or (label color). If you do not add dye to the label reservoir, the color will default to white.
Examples
- gold-embossed - SHOW: The edges of the white label wrapped around the jar are embossed with delicate gold foil.
- weathered - SHOW: Most of the bottle's label is weathered and aged, the white color fading away at the edges.
- dragonfly-shaped - SHOW: Gold leaf highlights the wings of the translucent white dragonfly splayed across the carafe. (one of Traiva's custom designs)

Etchings
The Etching is an inscription that appears when the bottle is READ and may include the name of the alcohol or brewery, or a short slogan/sentence - whatever could feasibly fit on a bottle's label. Placeholders for your (name) or (pronouns) can be included. The default language is Common, but each individual etching can have a set language.

Traiva's Workflow In Plain Language (with Syntax)
All items used in the following are examples - be sure to use the correct noun for the items you're personally working with.
- Put your alcohol/juice/jam/tea/coffee in your Bottle Contraption.
- PUT MY MEAD IN MY CONTRAPTION
- Make sure your desired bottle design is selected. If you want to use dye on your bottle, complete the next two steps FIRST so you can see the designs with dye addded, as it may be different. If you aren't seeing your bottle designs, you may need to flip the contraption settings to Bottle Designs. Once you've decided on your bottle design, turn your contraption to it if needed.
- GAZE MY CONTRAPTION
- TURN MY CONTRAPTION TO # (if needed)
- FLIP MY CONTRAPTION if needed to see your Bottle Designs
- Put your material in the contraption. (You can use things such as small weapons, lockpicks, etc., to change the material of your container.) If you're using dye, you MUST complete this step.
- PUT MY DAGGER IN MY CONTRAPTION (this could be a basic dagger from the Wehnimer's Landing weapon shop to change the material to steel).
- Add your dye for your material.
- POUR MY DYE IN MY CONTRAPTION
- Select your label design. If you aren't seeing your labels, you may need to flip the contraption settings to Label Designs. Once you've decided on your label design, turn your contraption to it if needed.
- GAZE MY CONTRAPTION
- TURN MY CONTRAPTION TO # (if needed)
- FLIP MY CONTRAPTION if needed to see your Label Designs
- If you want to dye your label, roll over to the label dye reservoir and add the dye. If you don't add label dye, your label color will be white.
- ROLL MY CONTRAPTION (you'll see messaging that dye will affect the label)
- POUR MY DYE IN MY CONTRAPTION
- Select your stopper. If you're not seeing your stoppers, you may need to flip the contraption settings to Stopper Designs. Once you've decided on your stopper, turn your contraption to it if needed. If you're using a gem bug/life aquatic/bird as a stopper, skip this step.
- GAZE MY CONTRAPTION
- TURN MY CONTRAPTION TO # (if needed)
- FLIP MY CONTRAPTION if needed to see your Stopper Designs.
- If you're using a gem bug/life aquatic/bird for your stopper, drop your gem bug/life aquatic/bird into your bottle contraption. If you have Alcohol Crate Customization unlocked, you MUST toggle the cover to allow access to the special stopper storage.
- DROP MY DRAGONFLY IN MY CONTRAPTION
- COVER MY CONTRAPTION (if needed)
- Select your etching. If you're not seeing your etchings, you may need to flip the contraption settings to Etchings. Once you've decided on your etcing, turn your contraption to it if needed.
- GAZE MY CONTRAPTION
- TURN MY CONTRAPTION TO # (if needed)
- FLIP MY CONTRAPTION if needed to see your Etchings.
- If you don't want an etching, you can CLENCH CONTRAPTION to toggle whether an etching shows.
- Check over all the settings on your contraption and preview your finished look. If you added material just to be able to add material dye but want to use your original material, this is a good time to clean it out. You'll also be able to check that you have charges stored, in case you need to add any.
- INSPECT MY CONTRAPTION
- If needed: CLEAN MY CONTRAPTION to remove unwanted bottle material (for example, if you used a steel dagger so you could add dye but want your finished product to be the glass from your still).
- INSPECT as often as needed to make sure everything is set the way you want.
- Create your masterpiece by pushing on the contraption, then remove your item.
- PUSH MY CONTRAPTION (You will need to confirm this after a 5-second roundtime)
- GET MEAD FROM MY CONTRAPTION
