Ragged drapes hang limply from crooked rods, the threadbare fabric creating phantom images as they frame the glassless windows that gaze out into the twilight-kissed sky. In one corner rests a rusty cast iron stove that is cold with disuse, while moth and beetle-bitten containers of woven grass rest amid mold and fungus in an opposite corner. Scattered sticks lay near the entry, their metal-tipped ends laying upon a pile of loose linen scraps that resemble a nest or maybe even a bed.
