Krodera is a silvery, magical metal capable of reflecting magic "like light reflects off the surface of water". A wielder of a pure krodera weapon will have all spells cast at him or her nullified, and will also be incapable of casting magic, them self.
While a defensive property such as nullifying magic is typically most useful to an armor, pure krodera armor, instead of protecting the wearer from the magic instead turns the magic inward, on the wearer. Although, forms of less pure krodera have been successfully crafted into useful forms of armor.
Even the flattest, polished krodera will distort the reflection seen in the metal.
