If you currently have an available FIXSKILLS, it will be effectively lost on 5/20 when the new FIXSKILLS arrives to all subscribers. (All unused fixskill potions remain viable.)

Do you have an unused FIXSKILLS on a character you have been ignoring? Don't know what your plans are for them yet? Don't want to try to decide between now and then?

Don't let your existing FIXSKILL go to waste! You can drop all of your skills to 0 now and add them back later once you know what you want.

An easy way to do this:

  1. CAVEATS by profession:
    • WARRIORS: If you need to preserve your weapon bond, but need to change other CMAN types, CMAN UNLEARN the skills you no longer want. If you unlearn all other CMAN skills, you will need 42 ranks of Comabt Maneuvers to preserve 3 ranks of WSpec and 5 ranks of Bonding 5. You'll need 50 for WSpec 4/Bond 5, and 60 for 5 ranks of each. Or, since only mutant Warrior builds don't want Combat Maneuvers, just immediately put it back to 2x.
    • PALADINS: It is a good idea not to drop your Paladin spells below 29 ranks to maintain your bond.
  2. CHECK IN at the front desk of your favorite inn.
  3. Choose option 3 ("Adjust Skill Goals")
  4. Set everything to 0 by entering 1 -999, 2 -999, etc, or run this command line script using Lich:
    • ;exec (1..50).each{|ix| fput "#{ix} -999"}
    • Remember if you need to preserve skills as mentioned in point 1, set them to the correct number at this time, not to zero, or go back and set them now.
    • Nothing actually TAKES until you hit done, so make adjustments as needed.
  5. Enter D for "Done" to save your changes.
  6. Choose option 4 ("Done") to exit the character manager.
  7. Type FIXSKILLS and follow the instructions to make all your changes take effect.
  8. If you didn't do it before, CMAN UNLEARN the things that need to be zeroed out.
    • Or give it a few minutes and wait for CMAN to finish freaking out as it self-adjusts. This will save you from all that typing of UNLEARN :)

Then, at your leisure, type GOALS and use the web-based interface to add the skills you want as normal. (Or use the character manager again. Your choice.)
