Colored dyes can be made through the General Alchemy subskill of Alchemy. These recipes were released on 09/16/08 as part of Alchemy Phase II.

The colors are independent, and cheaper, than colors available in the Dyer's tents.

Translucent dye base

Translucent dye base is the base that all dye recipes will start with. It needs to be made in order to make any of the colored dyes.

This recipe is learned at rank 4 in General Alchemy.

  1. Add Water
  2. Add 2 doses of ground murdroot
  3. Add Ayanad crystal
  4. Alchemy Simmer
  5. Alchemy Seal

Cream white dye

The cream white dye can be poured onto objects to make them cream white.

This recipe is learned at rank 4 of General Alchemy.

  1. Add translucent dye base
  2. Add ground longgrass
  3. Alchemy Simmer
  4. Alchemy Seal

Example:

You pour a few test drops of white vial of dye on your leather tome. The results are good, and you can tell the dye will transform it into a cream white leather tome if you poured some more on it.

>pour my dye on my tome
You pour your white vial of dye on your leather tome, completely coating the item. The liquid soon dries, leaving you with a cream white leather tome.
That was the last of the dye.

>tap tome
You tap a cream white leather tome, which is in your right hand.

Tan dye

The tan dye can be poured onto objects to make them tan.

This recipe is learned at rank 4 of General Alchemy.

  1. Add translucent dye base
  2. Add ground onion skin
  3. Alchemy Simmer
  4. Alchemy Seal
