Devices of Destiny, Sanctuary

[Devices of Destiny, Sanctuary - 13203266]
Pale blue rays of light trace the edges between the dark interior walls and the low flat ceiling of this solemn chamber. At the center of the calm space, a sylphlike figure of light poses atop a small circular plinth, its body arced in graceful poise. Its slender arms extend to cradle a spherical crystal in cupped hands, gaze angled towards the heavens. While appearing dark and solid, the floor feels a bit spongy. Two shimmering light blue portals stand on opposite walls.
Obvious exits: none

On the figure you see: a gold eye symbol suspended from a head chain, a large golden hoop, a flanged gold neck ring, a solitary golden rose, a detailed golden scarab, a coiled golden asp armlet with jade eyes, a polished gold cuff etched with intersecting spirals, a shiny golden lotus dangling from a waist chain, a large gold buckle etched with a map of Elanthia, and a gold ouroboros anklet etched with tiny scales.

A Great Cover Up

[A Great Cover Up - 13203261]
Pale mistwood poles stand in each corner of the tent, holding the silk canopy high overheard. The ground is covered by a plush pewter-hued velvet rug, with a circular cottonwood rack standing atop it in the center. A delicate faenor chain curtain partitions off the rear of the tent and also provides access. You also see a small faenor-framed sign.
Obvious exits: out
a small faenor-framed sign
In the Common language, it reads:

The rack contains a variety of clothing that can be worn over one's armor and conceal it from sight.
Be sure to inspect each to determine its coverage, as some can cover the torso and arms, while others can cover the torso, arms, and legs.

On the rack you see: a white chainsil surcoat embellished with black and silver scrollwork, a crimson ramie linen tabard adorned with golden wyverns and knotwork, a sapphire blue linen tunic emblazoned with a colorful peacock, a deep purple velvet doublet with silver satin sleeves, a midnight black charmeuse cotehardie with jade lace sleeves, a soft forest green wool ruhan with a subtle pattern of dark leaves, a black cherry watered silk ataniki layered with dark silver byssus, an ocean blue moire silk atanika embroidered with lotus blossoms, a supple black leather coat inked with runes, an incarnadine paeline robe embroidered with thread-of-gold scrollwork, a dark gold flyrsilk toqua interspersed with lustrous thorns, and a bright white ermine greatcloak with a pattern of black spots.

The chainsil surcoat is designed to hide leather, scale, chain mail and plate mail armor which covers torso and arms.

This garment should be designed in such a manner to convey that ALL these areas are completely covered.

You carefully analyze your chainsil surcoat and sense that there are some alteration restrictions. The surcoat can have either a long or a show description.

Any outer garment noun may be used for armor concealers as long as they are loose fitting and fully cover the appropriate areas of protection (tunics do not cover legs, so they may not cover leg worn armor, a shawl would not be appropriate at all, etc.).

Armor concealers that cover the head MUST have a hood/cowl in the base (15/15/15) and in any long descriptions.

Armor concealers can be made out of any material that is not see-through.

Racial clothing nouns are approved as follows:
Ruhan ~ This garment is knee-length or shorter and should not have a hood, so it cannot cover armor with leg or head protection. This concealer cannot be pocketed.
Toque ~ This noun is approved for any armor and may have a hood.
Cotehardie ~ This noun may be used but must clearly be an outer garment that falls to the knees (so it cannot cover armor with leg protection) and is not-tight fitting. It should be used as an elven outer garment, not a gown.
Apotl/Apotla ~ These are fine for concealers, but since it is a waist-length cloak, it only covers torso and arms.
Atanika/Ataniki ~ These nouns are approved for concealers but should not have a hood.

Instrument Strap
Analyze
Analyze:
This is an Instrument Strap. It can be "attached" to certain instrument types via DROP/PUT, which will make the instrument wearable in the "slung over the shoulder" inventory slot. No description about the strap will be added to the instrument, but INSPECT will then indicate it as wearable (and the strap will no longer exist as a separate item). This is an irreversible process; you cannot get the strap back once you've confirmed that you want to add it to the instrument in question.

Instrument Straps can only be attached to the following instrument types: cittern, dulcimer, harp, lute, lyre, lysard, mandolin, psaltery, theorbo, zither, ayr, shamisen, biwa. If the instrument has any special scripting, it might not be able to accomodate attaching the strap.

Merchants may alter the strap, so long as the item makes sense (both for the noun and any materials used) for an instrument strap. Just remember that any description of the strap will not get transferred into the instrument it is attached to.

a hand-written note

In the Elven language, it reads:

Dear Client,

The designs offered within were crafted with the masked ball in mind, and you will find that the overall style and cut of garments, as well as the fabrics, lean toward finery. The jewelry and masks were developed under the tutelage of several talented Loenthran craftsmen.
Do be aware that closer inspection is necessary for some attire, though not for all, and pricing is varied. Save for the masks, cane, and parasol, there are no special properties to the finery, though I have sewn pockets into some of the outerwear. If you do opt to procure a mask from this collection, be certain to analyze it thoroughly for details on its particular craftsmanship.
For this particular occasion, I have opted to gear the attire towards creatures, exotic and twisted in form, always lurking beyond the reach of the city, that creep and crawl in the dark of our warm summer nights: bronze and platinum, greys, yellows, violets, and rich greens. I hope that you will find something here that is pleasing to your fashion palate.

    Warm Regards,
    Sharlatta

Sharlatta's Frippery, Gowns

[Sharlatta's Frippery, Gowns - 13203102]
Silken walls of pale green brush against a slender ivory statue. Composed of elaborately chiseled white ivory, a slender elven maiden attired in a sideless gown worn over a laced cotehardie is caught mid-step, her emerald-inset eyes twinkling from behind a golden mask that obscures the upper half of her otherwise reserved expression. Opposite the masked maiden, a rose-carved ivory armoire is propped open.
Obvious exits: north, southwest

In the armoire you see: a forest green gown waist-wrapped with a platinum serpent, a multi-skirted marbrinus ballgown of graduated grey tones, a fitted platinum gown set with a diamond choker neckline, an airy yellow frock of platinum spider-accented lampas, a grey faille gown skirted with twisting pale yellow asps, a gown of violet lyraigne belted with bronze arachnid chains, a dark violet satin gown bustled with pale violet faille, and a full-skirted gown of rich green bronze-shot marbrinus.

The Vine And Stem, Salesroom

[The Vine And Stem, Salesroom - 13203195]
The interior of the wagon is richly appointed, its walls of golden oak rising from a floor carpeted in thick sage-hued rugs to a ceiling of sturdy beams. At regular intervals, gilt-based lamps are stationed around the perimeter of the area, creating a warmly lit space in which to browse wares. A single table occupies the majority of the floor space, its legs carved to resemble a majestic wyvern, while cases marked with the crests of the elven houses edge the walkway leading further into the shop.
Obvious exits: north, out

On the table you see: a small white parchment, a crimson-swept pale gold wine glass, a dark gold wine-bowl rimmed with eahnor, a dark stone stein with a conical gold cap, and a gold-bound mahogany wine case stamped with the Ta'Vaalor crest.

The Vine And Stem, Salesroom

[The Vine And Stem, Salesroom - 13203196]
Gilt-based lamps burning here smell sweetly of jasmine and give off little to no smoke at all to pollute the fragrance. Against one wall of the wagon sits a rose-carved ebony table, and against the opposing wall is a peacock feather-edged table, each with a neatly arranged display. Above the tables hang corresponding silk banners, the fabric painted in a myriad of hues with the most skillful of brush strokes.
Obvious exits: north, south

The Vine And Stem, Salesroom

[The Vine And Stem, Salesroom - 13203197]
Chairs with pale green cushions and padded arms have been placed around the room, their soft hue a compliment to the warmth of the wagon's oak walls. Beneath the flickering flames of nearby gilt-based lamps, an oak leaf-carved table and a silver harp-inlaid table guard the outer edges of this space, leaving the center aisle open so shoppers can browse. A silk banner hangs above each of the tables, their respective elven house crests painted in vibrant colors on the fine-spun fabric.
Obvious exits: south
