Kakore trees, sometimes called bloodleaf trees, has silvery-green leaves with a scarlet tint on the underside, which is where the nickname "bloodleaf" originates from. The tree itself resembles a birch tree and the wood is of a deep reddish-brown color. Kakore is very dense and inflexible and it is therefore not practical for making something that requires flexibility, such as bows or a crossbow's prod. However, kakore is often used for making medum-grade runestaves and shields due to its availability and natural beauty.
The kakore tree is often found growing in marshy terrains.
