Cog & Zephyr

[Cog & Zephyr - 8209178]
A curious mixture of vivid green verdancy and gnomish gadgets pepper the tent's interior, lending an earthy, workshop coziness to the bustling sales environment. Near the double-wide tent flap, which is tied open, a certificate-laden, gilded table sits next to a chalkboard informational sign and a giant cog and vine tortoise. Several oak-inset fel displays circling the central tent pole offer wooden box contraptions fitted with stirrup irons, while the vine-wound racks ringing the outside present large, leaf-like constructs.
Obvious exits: out
a chalkboard informational sign
In the Common language, it reads:
~~* Welcome! *~~

We are delighted to offer seating accommodations for riding upon giant tortoise mounts in the form of the rivellia and the hailx!

Take your time browsing and analyze the pieces to get a better glimpse at how they are crafted specifically for the comfort of a tortoise in a manner far superior to that of a traditional saddle.

Prices in raikhen.

On the gilded table you see: a hunter green certificate etched with a cog and zephyr sigil, a copper-hued certificate etched with a cog and zephyr sigil, and a papyrus note.

a papyrus note

In the Common language, it reads:
The certificates on this cart are helpful for teaching your rivellia or hailx to better work with certain actions performed with it. The two sets are independent of one another -- you can learn them in any order.

*The hunter green certificate is for Lesson 2 of these actions.
*The copper-hued certificate is for Lesson 3 of these actions.

[OOC Note: the certificates add additional zests (Verb Set 2, Verb Set 3) to your rivellia/hailx. There are 5 verbs per set.]

--------- ALTERATION INFORMATION ---------

The noun cannot change. So what can you do? Any merchant may alter the article, adjective, and/or long description of the hailx. They can also add a show description that will append to the hard-coded LOOK. Any merchant may toggle the seat/arm rest cover material and the base wood. All alterations must be in keeping with the saddle's style (see below).

Note that some aspects of the LOOK are hard-coded (such as the length of the stirrups) and cannot currently be modified by a merchant.

This saddle's style (which is not currently eligible to be changed to another style) is set to hailx (gnomish).
For alteration purposes, keep the following in mind:. The design, when not being utilized on a tortoise, is that of a carved wooden, curve-edged cube that houses its gnomish-inspired mechanisms. It utilizes a wrapped and cinched cording system for saddling and has padding on the underside. As part of saddling, the upper section folds out into a box-bottomed seat with arm rests and a seatback. The base has semi-stiff, metal jointed-billet stirrups that retract and extend via an internal mechanism. It is somewhat heavy.

The hailx can have two minor customizations set if not already addressed in the base/long/show. They are:
  - the box's main wood. Currently: acaciawood
  - the seatback/arm rest fabric covering. Currently: creamy leather

Also note that the hailx is called a "boxed hailx" when not saddled on a mount -- your hailx will automatically reflect this naming quirk depending on whether it is saddled or not.
