[Town Square, East]

Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions.  Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night.

A town clerk smiles and waves.

The town clerk clears his throat.

Cruxophim takes a bite of his well-seasoned mutton.

The town clerk says, "Thank you all for coming. I expect a short and quiet night."

Speaking affably to a town clerk, Cruxophim greets, "Evening."

The town clerk says, "However..."

Cruxophim's expression shifts to one of consternation as color suffuses his cheeks, and his eyes widen.

Cruxophim flashes a wide grin.

A fine sheen of sweat breaks out along Cruxophim's forehead as he sways unsteadily and clutches suddenly at his stomach.

Cruxophim adopts an agreeable expression.

Cruxophim affably notes, "Excellent."

Trembling and pale, Cruxophim's face contorts, and his eyes become listless and unfocused.  With little more than a muted groan, his legs buckle, and Cruxophim crumples to the ground, bent and writhing in agony.

Cruxophim groans quietly, the sound small and animalistic, as he contorts involuntarily.  His eyes roll wildly in their sockets, while his hands spasm, clenching and relaxing, fingers hooked into claws that scrape futilely at the empty air.

The glazed look leaves Cruxophim.

Nehor disdainfully says, "A bit anticlimatic. There is an art to leaving the audience in suspense but...I daresay this is not it."

Chauvech says, "Dang it, he's just welchin' on the bet we had, It must have been Larton."

Gothtrin exclaims, "I declare shenanigans!"

Speaking to Alasatia, Melivn says, "I figured someone should boo."

Shinann nods slowly.

Nehor boredly says, "Oh good...this'll liven things up for sure."

Nehor rolls his eyes.

(Dirra takes a step forward, anger in her eyes.)
