Usually found in southern forests, ruic trees florish in areas of mild climate and dependable rainfall. Ruic is usually used to craft bows; use as a magical runestaff or shield tends to cause a magical backlash back to the user while the same magical snap is released when an arrow is shot from a bow, releasing the magical energy with the arrow.
