==Foreword==

[Silverwood Manor, Quiet Garden]

A pair of stained glass doors open directly into the garden, where a well-manicured carpet of verdant grass is surrounded by a circle of stately haon trees. The strong trunks and layered green leaves create a quiet area of insulated serenity. Moonlight glints on the waters of a perfectly round pond at the center of the area, the surface dotted with glowing white votives. Daisies sprout at the base of an elaborate polished marble statue. You also see the Kiwoeachi disk, the Peche disk, the Nazarr disk, a silver-traced carved mahogany cart with some stuff on it, a small fire burning within a ring of stones, a flat oak log, a wide wooden log and an eternal flame.

Leafiara hums a cheerful tune!  Pure white and bold red mana wisps dance about her like wind-borne leaves, then pulse brightly as she sings a sylvan phrase in a strong, clear voice.

Leafiara says, "And then cast my spell."

Leafiara snickers.

Leafiara cackles deep in her throat, her voice rising in chilling laughter.

Kiwoeachi says, "Not sure i've ever heard anyone invoker 'half-elven power' before."

The below sections were written a week after the above talk, when I realized there might be value in an "if you have this stat/skill, then look into this change" type of breakdown.

==You have high Strength==
* Pummel, a blunt weapon technique, grants you flares that do more damage with higher Strength.
* Warriors can boost party Strength with the Bearhug combat maneuver.

==You have high Dexterity==
* Slashing Strikes, an edged weapon technique, grants you flares that add the Major Bleed effect and make it more damaging with higher Dexterity.
* Ranged weapon users can boost party Dexterity with the Barrage weapon technique.

==You have high Influence and you're a warrior==
* War cries have been converted to use the Standard Success Resolution system, whose effectiveness and/or success rate depend partially on higher Influence.
* Horland's Holler, in particular, doubles down on Influence usage; it's been revamped as a room taunt that redirects enemy attacks away from others in the room and toward the warrior, and its likelihood is based partially on Influence.

==You train Two Weapon Combat and Edged Weapons==
* Hamstring has always gotten a bonus with two weapons, but now that bonus also applies to making a stronger Major Bleed effect.

==You train a lot of Armor Use on a paladin, rogue, or warrior==
* All armor specializations are now cheaper to learn, costing 10 -> 15 -> 20 -> 25 -> 30 points for their respective ranks.

==You train Shield Use on a square or paladin==
* Use SHIELD LIST, SHIELD HELP, and related commands to see widely revamped costs, effects, and profession availability of all shield maneuvers, including those not mentioned here.
* The new Shield Throw maneuver does area of effect impact damage to a number of targets determined by Multi Opponent Combat ranks.
* The new Deflect Magic maneuver can redirect enemy bolt spells to enemies in the room. (Same as Deflect Missiles, formerly named Deflection Mastery, does with arrows.)
* The former Shield Spike Focus shield maneuver no longer exists; instead, the Spike Focus combat maneuver now applies to armor and shields.
* The former Shield Trample Mastery shield maneuver no longer exists; instead, Shield Trample is innately an area of effect maneuver with number of targets determined by Multi Opponent Combat ranks.
* The Stance Perfection combat maneuver now allows you to rearrange the order of operations in which your character tries to evade, block, or parry. The default order is as was just listed.

==You train Combat Maneuvers==
* Use CMAN LIST, CMAN HELP, and related commands to see widely revamped costs, effects, and profession availability of all combat maneuvers, including those not listed throughout the miniature guide below.
* The Kroderine Soul, Mystic Strike, Perfect Self, Shadow Dance, Silent Strike, Vanish, and Weapon Bonding combat maneuvers have been moved to feats for their respective professions and are now learned automatically for no maneuver point cost as the character levels up.
* Charge and Twin Hammerfists have been moved to weapon techniques.
* Shield Charge is now learned through shield specializations only.
* Martial stances universally cost 3 -> 6 -> 9 points to learn and last indefinitely or until switched.
* Weapon Specialization II and III no longer exist; Weapon Specialization applies to the entire weapon group (such as edged) rather than a single weapon base. However, Weapon Specialization no longer works on hybrid weapons (bastard swords, katanas, and katars).
* Shadow Mastery no longer exists; instead, the reduced RT for sneaking and hiding have moved to innate benefits of training Stalking and Hiding.
* Quickstrike (the combat maneuver, not the QSTRIKE verb) and Subdual Strike no longer exist.
* Point costs are now universal to an individual combat maneuver with no distinction between squares, semis, and pures.

* The likelihood of Horland's Holler warcry redirecting enemy attacks is partially based on Multi Opponent Combat ranks.

==You train a lot of Dodging as a square==
* Radial Sweep, a polearm weapon technique, is a reaction that can be used when you evade.
* Spin Kick, a brawling weapon technique, is a reaction that can be used when you evade.
* Evade Specialization, Light Armor Proficiency, level 40 monks' Martial Arts Mastery feat, and level 40 warriors' Combat Mastery feat can push evasion rates higher.

==You train Stalking and Hiding==
* Eviscerate, a rogue-exclusive combat maneuver which inflicts damage and Major Bleed on one target while performing crowd control on other enemies in the room, can only be used from hiding.
* Mug, a rogue-exclusive combat maneuver, is more successful when used from hiding.
* The former RT reduction benefits of Shadow Mastery have now moved to training this skill, reducing RT at thresholds of 30, 60, 90, and 120 ranks.

* Major Bleed, a damage over time effect, can be tended to reduce severity.
