Slash critical table

Slashing is a damage-type caused by many bladed weapons. Attempts at slashing are generally made with long, sharpened blades that typically can also be used to puncture.

Critical Charts

This is a list of criticals that are applied to each body part of each rank in slashing damage.

Head Criticals

5	25	Hard blow to the critter's ear! Deep gash and a terrible headache!
6	30	Gruesome slash opens the critter's forehead! Grey matter spills forth!
7	35	Wild upward slash remove the critter's face from its skull! Interesting way to die.
8	40	Horrible slash to the critter's head! Brain matter goes flying! Looks like it never felt a thing.
9	50	Gruesome, slashing blow to the side of the critter's head! Skull split open! Brain (and life) vanishes in a fine mist.

Neck Criticals

3	10	Deft swing strikes the <creature>'s neck. Maybe not fatal but it's sure distracting.
4	12	Strong slash to throat nicks a few blood vessels.
5	15	Fast slash to the <creature>'s neck exposes its windpipe. Quick anatomy lesson, anyone?
6	20	Deep slash to the <creature>'s neck severs an artery! The <creature> chokes to death on its own blood.
7	25	Gruesome slash to the <creature>'s throat! That stings... for about a second.
8	30	Awful slash nearly decapitates the <creature>! That's one way to lose your head.
9	40	Incredible slash to the <creature>'s neck! Throat and vocal cords destroyed! Zero chance of survival.

Eye Criticals

3	5	Right: Grazing slash to the critter's face! Sratch to its eyelids. "When blood gets in your eyes..." Left: Grazing slash to the critter's face! Scratches its left eye. Ouch!
4	20	Upward slash gouges the critter's cheek! Right eye lost! Pity.
5	25	Slash strikes the critter's right eye. Seems there was a brain there after all.
6	30	Slash to head destroys the critter's right/left eye! Doesn't do its brain any good either.
7	40	Slash to the critter's right/left eye! Vitreous fluid spews forth! Seeya!
8	45	Horrifying slash to the critter's head! Right/Left eye sliced open! Brain pureed!
9	50	Blast to the critter's head destroys right/left eye! Brain obliterated! Disgusting, but painful only for a second.

Chest Criticals

6	45	Hard slash to the critter's side opens its spleen!
7	60	Quick, powerful slash! The critter's chest is ripped open!
8	65	Slash to the critter's ribs opens a sucking chest wound!
9	70	Wicked slash slices open the critter's chest! Heart and lungs pureed! Sickening!

Abdomen Criticals

6	30	Deep slash to the critter's right side! Several inches of padding sliced off hip.... From the inside!
7	50	Amazing slash to the critter's belly! Nothing quite like that empty feeling inside.
8	60	Bloody slash to the critter's side! Instant death, due to lack of intestines.
9	75	Terrible slash to the critter's side! Entrails spill out, onto the ground! Death can be SO messy.

9	75	Masterful slash to the critter's lower back! Spinal cord and life are just memories now.

6	20	Right: Quick, hard slash to the <creature>'s right arm! "CRACK" Left: Off-balance slash to the <creature>'s left arm shatters its elbow. "CRUNCH"

Hand Criticals

2	3	Right: Wild slash bounces off the back of the critter's hand. Left: Wild slash scratches the back of the critter's hand.
3	5	Right: Feint to the critter's head! Quick flick at its weapon hand! Nasty cut to right hand! Left: Slice to the critter's left fingers. Nice move.
4	7	Right: Strong slash to the critter's right hand cuts deep. Left: Deep cut to the critter's left hand! Seems to have broken some finger too.
5	5 or 8	Slash to the critter's weapon/Left hand! Several finger fly! (Note: left hand causes higher damage.)
6	10	Rapped the critter's knuckles hard! Right/Left hand sounds broken.
7	15	Jagged slash to the critter's right/left arm! Cut clean through at the wrist. Need a hand?
8	25	Powerful slash trims the critter's fingernails... and the remainder of its right/left hand!
9	30	Off-balanced slash! Enough force to sever the critter's right/left hand! Amazing!

Leg Criticals
