Missoni asks, "Would anyone else like to walk with us?"

Missoni glances between Ycelacie and Dendum.

Ngaille says, "It is difficult to find and I left for this last sleed of supplies before dawn so the streets really look different now."

You see Refugee Ngaille.

She appears to be a Half-Krolvin from Krint.

She is shorter than average.  She appears to be very young.  She has large steel grey eyes and albino white skin.  She has very long, thick blue-tinged white hair woven into skull-hugging braids that trail down her back in varying lengths and are adorned with bone and sea glass beads, the ends curling at her waist.  She has an angular face and a flat nose.

She is in good shape.
She is wearing a cord-strung ptarmigan skull painted in tribal patterns, a fur-trimmed walrus hide parka, a tapestry weave juniper green vest of heavy threads over a thick brick red woolen tunic, an embossed caribou hide belt, a pair of fleece-lined sheepskin trousers,, and some calf-high walrus hide boots lined in red stoat furs.

Caeileen furrows her brow.

A sudden breeze coils around Missoni before dying away.

Missoni asks, speaking to Caeileen, "Which friend do you mean?"

Missoni flashes a quick grin.

Earthdiver produces a deeply curved long crimson pipe from the depths of his black cloak.

Earthdiver lights his long crimson pipe, placing it to his lips to take a contented puff as some red tendrils of fragrant smoke rise up about him.

You curtsy to Ngaille.

Earthdiver puffs rapidly on his long crimson pipe, some red wisps of fragrant cherry-scented smoke dancing about him.

Ngaille bows to you.

Ycelacie gets a distant look in her eyes.

Ycelacie tilts her head slightly and stares straight ahead as she murmurs softly under her breath...

Ycelacie gestures.

A crackling jolt of energy traces a ring of pure black essence mid-air.  The energy dissipates with a clap of sparks, but the undulating ring of essence lingers, hovering mere inches above the ground.

A ghostly raven flies out of the ring of essence.

Ngaille says, "Oh, Councillor, apologies."

Ycelacie steps into the ring of essence.

A crackling jolt of energy slowly consumes the ring of essence, tracing its entire length until vanishing in a clap of sparks.

The dog suddenly turns and focuses its eyes upon Missoni.

Ngaille confusedly asks, "Am I supposed to bow lower?"

The roaring bonfire crackles merrily.

Missoni flashes a quick grin.

Ngaille says, "I'm not familiar with the northern customs yet."

A glittering golden collection bowl materializes above Theofanis.  It slowly tips upside down, causing a shower of silver sparks to rain down upon him, then vanishes.

Missoni says, speaking to Ngaille, "I am Missoni Sabretache Faendryl."

Ngaille says, "Yes, apologies, my name is Ngaille formerly of Krint."

Ngaille says, "Well, more recently of the Crawling Shore."

Missoni says, speaking warmly to Ngaille, "Well met."

Ngaille smiles at Missoni.

Missoni nods understandingly.

Ngaille exclaims, "And to you as well!"

Caeileen nods understandingly.

Glittering rivulets of sand coalesce and slither around Earthdiver's feet.

Urlach put a steel-capped villswood runestaff in his backpack.

Missoni asks, "Shall we walk?"

Missoni casually observes her surroundings.

Ngaille says, "Uh, yes, do you go west or north."

Earthdiver raises his long crimson pipe skyward!

Caeileen says, speaking to Ngaille, "Caeileen, but please, call me Key. Nice to meet you, Ngaille."

Earthdiver puffs rapidly on his long crimson pipe, some red wisps of fragrant cherry-scented smoke dancing about him.

The dog twists its neck to raise one of its ears up to one side and begins sniffing furiously while staring vacantly ahead.

Missoni says, speaking to Ngaille, "Either but I will go west as I think it will be a bit easier to remember."

An old, drunk halfling sits in a doorway, alternating between singing at the top of his lungs and munching on a tart. The cobblestone road continues east and west between the narrow buildings.  To the east the foot traffic seems to grow considerably worse.  A gate is just visible at the western end of the road. On the north side of the cobblestone road everything seems quiet, almost too quiet.  To the south, you can hear the rowdy shouts of people in the taverns and the gaming hall.  You also see a lazy wild ash grey dog and a durable lashed dog sled with sturdy birch runners.

The cobblestone road ends at the large western gate here.  Through the gate you see vast plains of grass about as tall as a halfling, with very few trees for cover. Lilanna says, speaking to Ngaille, "I have seen the desolation upon ye shores and i am truly sorry fer ye losses."

Ngaille places a hand over her heart.

Ngaille says, speaking to Lilanna, "Thank you."

You nod at Missoni.

Ngaille says, "The folks here have been incredibly kind."

Lilanna says, "Mule is a good place and i hope ye can fns a home here."

Missoni explains, "From here, we will start by going directly northward."

The earthen road turns to the northeast here and heads toward the center of the Magical Burrow.  Houses and strange magical shops line the streets and halflings hurry by on their way to someplace else. Missoni agrees with Lilanna.

Caeileen asks, "Oh, hides, what sorts?"

You quietly say, "Ohh fabrices and hides are my favorite."

Lilanna exclaims, "That would be much welcomed!"

Ngaille says, "Stoat furs, caribou, warus."

Caeileen nods understandingly.

Earthdiver says, "I've always been partial to the fur trade from the tundra."

Caeileen asks, "Those caribou. Do you keep the antlers for something else?"

Ngaille says, "No, I think he sells them at the Furrier and then leaves me with the pelts."

Wrought-iron fences and a dense fog seem to be everywhere.  The fog is low to the ground and swirls in a chilling caress around you, even when you stand still.  The fog is probably just from the nearby glacier--at least, that is what you keep telling yourself.  You also see a lazy wild ash grey dog, a durable lashed dog sled with sturdy birch runners and a tall wrought-iron gate.

Narrowing perceptibly, the street is crowded with huddled houses in various groupings amid mounds of shoveled snow.  Surrounding lamplight filters through the nearby fog, casting rainbow flashes in its depth, while also highlighting a sign that hangs over a brightly illuminated shop that rests near the corner. Wiggling her root-like fingers, the mandrake reaches up to Missoni as if seeking a hug.

Ngaille says, "Nan is very much wanting to ensure we have a tapestry on the wall before we open."

Bending over, Missoni hugs a yellow-eyed silvery lor mandrake with glossy holly leaves sticking out of her head, who responds by placing her plant-like head upon her shoulder and patting her back with her spindled root-like fingers.

Missoni cheerfully says, "A family enterprise? How lovely."

You quietly say, "Its very brightly Illuminated! Makes it easier to see in all this fog."

The dog suddenly turns and focuses its eyes upon Perigourd.

Ngaille asks, "For the shop you mean?"

Perigourd nods at Ngaille.

Perigourd says, "Quite."

Ngaille says, "Hint of Krint."

Earthdiver starts chortling.

Perigourd nods approvingly.

Lilanna adopts an agreeable expression.

Ngaille grins.

Missoni flashes a quick grin.

Sidling up to Missoni, a yellow-eyed silvery lor mandrake with glossy holly leaves sticking out of her head tilts her wrinkled face to gaze into her eyes.  In an awkward display of empathy, the mandrake pats her knee.

Suddenly you have the strangest feeling that you are being watched.

Knowing the little scamp will probably bite at your hand if you try to grab it, you simply tilt your head to the side.  The lizard slides back down to your shoulder where it belongs.  You can hear it emit a little huff in protest though.  That lizard just has to have the last word!

Ngaille flushes slightly, some color reaching her cheeks.

Missoni holds up her hand and tilts it side to side in a so-so gesture.

Lilanna nods.

Dendum points at you!

Missoni says, "Perigourd and I are Solhaven citizens, but we are here often enough."

Lilanna says, "I am."

Although you glance in the general direction toward which it's staring, you don't notice anything that would cause its reaction.  But then, when did that ever stop the little scamp?

Ngaille smiles at Caeileen.
