Appearances

You see Tephra the Stone Gargoyle.
If not for her slow, lumbering movement, you might have taken her for a statue rather than a living creature. Her facial features are cruelly angular, with her eyes permanently narrowed, and a constant sneer exposes a few razor sharp stone teeth. Her skin is grey and smooth, reminiscent of stone. Her arms are tipped with long talons, and a pair of spindly reddish brown wings splay out behind her.

The upper portion of her left wing has been cruelly snapped off, if the jagged bits of remaining stone are any indication.

Her arms are tipped with long talons, and a pair of damaged spindly grey wings wings splay out behind her. Numerous cracks span the surface of her stony body, and in places there are small bits that are completely missing. The upper portion of her left wing is gone, appearing to have been cruelly snapped off, but that damage appears slightly older. Seemingly more recent damage includes the apparent erosion of the tip of one talon, and where her right eyeball should be is nothing but small bits of gravel.

a piece of white paper (artwork by Alosaka)

The page, written in Common, reads as follows:

"Never forget that you have friends who love you." Drawn beneath the text is a rough image, sketched in charcoal and lightly inked, depicting a group of adventurers of all sizes and types. In the midst of them stands a winged figure bedecked with birds and the impression of talons and sharp teeth, who seems somehow bemused by all the soft beings crowding around her. Below it, written in various flowing scripts, is a list of names and the year 5120.
