* [[User_talk:LALAMJ]]: Hello! It has been nice getting to know Abilene on her [[Abilene_(prime)|character page]]. While I was looking at the image on her page, "Abilene.jpeg", I noticed that it did not have information about the original source or that permission was granted to use it. Please see [[Help:Style#Copyrights]] for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the artwork, you can simply note that instead. If you need an example of how to do this, the character page [[Arenglae (prime)]] does this very clearly for all of the portraits. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. [[User:HOST-GSKEBECHET|HOST-GSKEBECHET]] ([[User talk:HOST-GSKEBECHET|talk]]) 09:47, 14 September 2022 (CDT)

* [[User talk:ALLENM20]]: Hello! I enjoyed viewing the artwork on your character page for [[Nemdenia (platinum)]]. While I was reviewing the recent updates on it, I noticed that you did not include the artist or copyright information on the page itself for the image that you uploaded, "Nemdenia Portrait.png". That information must be noted on the page using the image, not just in the image's metadata. [[User:HOST-GSKEBECHET|HOST-GSKEBECHET]] ([[User talk:HOST-GSKEBECHET|talk]]) 08:35, 8 November 2022 (CST)

* [[User talk:KITHUS]]: Hi, there! Thank you very much for your many contributions to the wiki. While doing some patrols of recently (and not-so-recently) updated pages, I noticed that you uploaded several images for guides you authored that do not have artist or copyright information on the pages where they are displayed. Specifically, I am referring to "Issalya_portrait.jpg" on [[Comprehensive Wizard Guide]]; "Necromancer.jpg" on [[Comprehensive Sorcerer Guide]]; "Bard_Weapons.jpg" on [[Comprehensive Bard Guide]]; "Ranger_and_wolf.jpg" on [[Comprehensive Ranger Guide]]; plus "Empath.jpg", "Warpath.jpg", and "Dissector.jpg" on [[Elanthia 5e]]. In addition, I could not find anything about the various Arkati symbols on the [[Elanthia 5e]] page; they appear to be made and uploaded specifically for it.

:This information must be noted on the page using the image, not just in the image's metadata. Please see [[Help:Style#Copyrights]] for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images for which you have permission to uploaded onto GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the artwork, you can simply note that instead. If you need an example of how to do this, the character page [[Arenglae (prime)]] does this very clearly for all of the portraits. Any artwork that is official Simutronics artwork does NOT need this. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. * [[User talk:BURGHALGNOME]]: Hello! I enjoyed reading about your character, Dendum. While I was reviewing updates on his character page, [[Dendum (prime)]], I noticed that you did not include the artist or source information for following images on that page: [[:File:Dendumavatar.png]], [[:File:Basingstoke.png]], [[:File:Greengairvillage.png]], [[:File:Wendwillowvillage.png]], and [[:File:Dendumjune.png]]. The artist's name or source must be noted for images uploaded to the wiki. Additionally, if any images were created using AI software, you will need to note what software was used to create them. Unfortunately simply stating that you own the copyright to the image is not sufficient. As an example, it can be as simple as, "Image created by the uploader using MidJourney" (or whatever software is appropriate). Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. [[User:HOST-GSKEBECHET|HOST-GSKEBECHET]] ([[User talk:HOST-GSKEBECHET|talk]]) 10:34, 19 December 2022 (CST)

While I was reviewing updates on her character page [[Esana (prime)]], I noticed that you did not include the artist or copyright information on the page itself the image [[:File:Esana.jpg]] that was recently added to it. * [[User talk:BRIELLE]]: Hello! I enjoyed reading about your character, Yukito. While I was reviewing updates on his character page [[Yukito (prime)]], I noticed that you did not include the artist or copyright information on the page itself for two images, [[:File:Yukito wiki.jpg]] and [[:File:Yukito Said.jpg]]. Please see [[Help:Style#Copyrights]] for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you need an example of how to do this, the character page [[Arenglae (prime)]] does this very clearly for all of the portraits. Additionally, if the image was created using AI software, you will need to note what software was used to create it. Unfortunately simply stating that you own the copyright to the image is not sufficient, nor is displaying a watermark on the image itself. * [[User talk:CHIVERSFREE1]]: Hi there! Thank you for your MANY contributions to the wiki, from short stories to player written lore to information supporting the many events you help run. I'm reaching out to you about the images you have used in them, some of which do not appear to have information included about the original source or that permission was granted to use them. Please bear with me, since I have a bit of a lengthy list to help make this as easy for you as possible.

:Please see [[Help:Style#Copyrights]] for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the artwork, you can simply note that instead. Additionally, if the image was created with AI artwork software, you will also need to note what program was used (Midjourney, Artflow, etc.). If you need an example of how to do this, the character page [[Arenglae (prime)]] does this very clearly for all of the portraits. The way you handled it on a number of pages, including for the artwork by Tisket on [[Elanthian Vogue: Eorgaen 5118]], is perfectly fine.
:It is possible I may have overlooked some as I was only looking at your uploaded files. Official Simutronics artwork does NOT need any of this information displayed. Thank you very much for the many images where you already did display this. And for your reference, I am in the process of getting clarification from the rest of the wiki team on if different types of images would only need limited information displayed with them, such as the Elanthian Vogue "EV" logo or the flyer-style invitation images for your events. Until I have confirmation on that, I have to rely on the current copyright requirements and style guide standards.
:Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. Given the number of articles impacted, I understand if it may take a bit of time. [[User:HOST-GSKEBECHET|HOST-GSKEBECHET]] ([[User talk:HOST-GSKEBECHET|talk]]) 11:08, 1 December 2022 (CST)
::Hello again! Thank you so much for going back to edit the image captions, and for letting me know which ones needed to be deleted. I have deleted the five images that you marked for deletion on the above comment. (For reference, they were "File:Teveriel and Uniana.jpg", "File:Young Rohese.jpg", "File:Poladra.jpg", "File:Blue Phoenix.jpg", and "File:Ancestors of Rohese Bayvel-Timsh'l.JPG", and I did verify that they were not used by any pages before deleting them.)
::In double checking, I found a few more things that I failed to clearly note where image captions do not have the full information needed:
::* [[:File:Rohese Bayvel 5122.jpeg]] - This is used in [[Search_for_the_Truth_(short_story)#Moonstruck]] and will need to be captioned with the source image credit.
::* [[:File:EV Gallery 2018 - Rohese.jpg]] - This image appears on two pages. The [[Elanthian_Vogue:_Eorgaen_5118|Elanthian Vogue article]] featuring it is just fine, since it is clearly from the larger image on the same page credited to Tisket. I have gone ahead and adjusted where it also appears on [[Rohese_(prime)#Recent_Influences|Rohese's page]] to include the same credit you used on the EV page. You do not need to edit the text further unless you feel it needs it.
::* [[:File:EV Exotic.jpg]] appears to be made via DollDivine and will need that added to the image caption on [[Elanthian Vogue: Imaerasta 5120]].
::* [[:File:EV Regimental.jpg]] appears to be made via DollDivine and will need that added to the image caption on [[Elanthian Vogue: Eoantos 5119]].
::* [[:File:EV Town and Country.jpg]] appears to be made via DollDivine and will need that added to the image caption on [[Elanthian Vogue: Eoantas 5118]].
::* [[:File:TeverielUniana.png]] - I have updated [[Elanthian Vogue: Spring 5122]] to include the artist name for this image as it was cited on two other pages ([[Teveriel (prime)]] and [[Uniana (prime)]]).
::* [[:File:Jaysehn and Akenna.jpg]] - This image needs the artist name or source website. Unfortunately just stating ownership of copyright is not enough. I was not able to find this image anywhere else on the wiki as this or as a duplicate to reference an artist name and so have not yet adjusted it.
::Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything else I can do to help with this. Thank you again for your understanding and all of your many contributions! [[User:HOST-GSKEBECHET|HOST-GSKEBECHET]] ([[User talk:HOST-GSKEBECHET|talk]]) 10:53, 16 December 2022 (CST)
:::Hello once again! I was double checking and noticed that I missed that you did already add the DollDivine text to those three images. Thank you for that! I have rolled in a very minor update to their pages to allow the image caption to properly display. Those pages do not need to be further edited. At this point, only [[:File:Rohese Bayvel 5122.jpeg]] (used in [[Search for the Truth (short story)#Moonstruck]]) and [[:File:Jaysehn and Akenna.jpg]] (used in [[Elanthian Vogue: Spring 5122]]) need further information on their captions for the artists. Unfortunately simply stating ownership of the copyright to the image is not sufficient. If any images were created using AI software, you will need to note what software was used to create them. As an example, it can be as simple as, "Image created by the uploader using MidJourney" (or whatever software is appropriate). Thank you again for your understanding. :: [[User:HOST-GSKEBECHET|HOST-GSKEBECHET]] ([[User talk:HOST-GSKEBECHET|talk]]) --- Attributions are listed further down on the page under the portraits [[https://gswiki.play.net/Naamit_(prime)#Portraits_of_Naamit]] section. * [[User talk:DUNGEONCRAWLERS]]: Hello! I enjoyed reading about your character, Myharl, and his very long history in the world of Elanthia. While I was reviewing updates on his character page [[Myharl (prime)]], I noticed that you did not include the artist or copyright information on the page itself for the various images added to it. Three images did have that information in the file comments, so I have gone ahead and adjusted the caption on your character page to include it for [[:File:MYHARL GSIV WIKI PORTRAIT.JPG]], [[:File:MYHARL AND WIVES IN SHOP GSIV WIKI PORTRAIT.JPG]], and [[:File:MYHARL EYE-OF-THE-DRAKE GSIV WIKI IMAGE.JPG]]. However, there are still four images that will need you to clarify the artist and source on [[Myharl (prime)]]:
:* [[:File:HIGH LORD MYHARL BATTLING DEMON IN LANDING GSIV WIKI PORTRAIT.JPG]]
:* [[:File:MYHARL AND FORLORN MAIDEN GSIV WIKI PORTRAIT.JPG]]
:* [[:File:GRYPHONWIND CREST GSIV WIKI.JPG]]
:* [[:File:MYHARL TATTOO GSIV WIKI PORTRAIT.JPG]]
:Many of the additional images all appear to have an artist signature on them; I could not verify if they are the same artist who is cited for your profile image or not, although they are all done in a similar style. Some of them state in the file information that you own the copyright information, however that is not sufficient for the wiki.

* [[User talk:TUMARA]]: Hi there! Thank you for your MANY updates to the wiki, especially your relentless efforts to chronicle the ongoing events in the Icemule Trace region. I'm reaching out to you regarding two things.

:First, while I was looking at your recent uploads to the wiki, linked from [[Opalina (prime)]] ("Opalina.png", "Opalina outside.png", "Opalina fighting.png", "OpalnFalvicar4.png", "Sloop.png", and "Brig.png") and this page, [[User talk:TUMARA]] ("Opalina writing desk.png"), I noticed that none of the images include information about the original source or that permission was granted to use them. Please see [[Help:Style#Copyrights]] for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the artwork, you can simply note that instead. Additionally, if the image was created with AI artwork software, you will also need to note what program was used (Midjourney, etc.). If you need an example of how to do this, the character page [[Arenglae (prime)]] does this very clearly for all of the portraits. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated.
:Second, I've noticed that you use your user talk page (this page) a bit atypically compared to most other wiki contributors. Generally speaking, the user talk page is designed to facilitate communication between wiki contributors through the wiki itself, or communication between users and mods. Anyone editing your user talk page will cause a banner to display at the top of the wiki until you view it. Looking at everything else on your user talk page, I actually recommend moving all of the contents to your user page, [[User:TUMARA]], which is currently blank. That would allow other users or mods such as myself to contact you if the need arises without modifying the important information you have archived on this page. If you need assistance in moving it over, I would be happy to help with that. [[User:HOST-GSKEBECHET|HOST-GSKEBECHET]] ([[User talk:HOST-GSKEBECHET|talk]]) 10:07, 1 December 2022 (CST)
::I am confused is there something I am doing wrong with the logs?
::Thank you for your support and keeping me on the right path here on this Wiki I love participating and want to ensure Im always doing it correctly. I wasn't sure about the AI part I hope the way I changed them will work? I look forward to feed back on that. I was able to move everything to the other page I believe as well. that seemed relatively painless. Hopefully I didn't mess that up. Do I need to re-upload the pictures so they have notes directly on them?
:::Hi again! I'm responding to the edit that you did on my user page asking about uploaded logs.
:::All of your many logs uploaded to the wiki are outstanding, and I sincerely appreciate the effort you put forth with them. I have moved a couple of logs to "rename" them according to the style guide ([[Help:Style/Formatting_special_articles#Logs|more information is available here]]), but each time I've done so, it's been for very minor stuff. Per the current style guide standard, log page titles should be in the format of:
::: * [Storyline or Event Title, if applicable] - [Date] - [Title of Log, if applicable] (log)
::: * For example: Blood Son - 2020-01-01 - Excitement in Wehnimer's Landing (log)
:::This naming format helps logs to appear properly in various categories. I have also added [[:Category:Logs]] to a couple of yours that were missing it. This makes sure that they are populated correctly in that category so everyone can easily find them if they do not have a direct link. Both of these are incredibly minor edits that are easily overlooked, so please don't be alarmed if I make changes like them to your logs.
:::Thank you for all of the updates you made to the images! They're all very lovely and I really enjoyed viewing them. I would recommend only adding one thing, and that is noting that you are the person who created them via Midjourney. You can reference yourself as your character, your account, or even just something as simple as, "AI art generated by me using Midjourney.com", so that it is clear that you are the creator behind them. None of the images need to be uploaded again, having the credit information on them as you did is more than enough.
:::I hope that what I shared about the difference between user pages and user talk pages made sense to you. Ultimately how you use your user talk page is up to you - I mostly didn't want to get your amazing record of information lost amid questions from mods or another user wanting to say thank you for doing such a great job with them. Also, just in case you ever need to do so, you can automatically "sign" anything you put on the wiki (which is very useful for user talk pages) with <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki> at the very end, which is how I added my "signature" to this comment. Thanks again for all of your help with making the wiki so great! If you ever have any other questions, feel free to reach out to me or another mod, or to ask in the #wiki-talk channel on the official Discord server. * [[User talk:MABEY]]: Hello again! I enjoyed reading more about your organization, the [[Gilded Talon Consortium]]. While I was reviewing updates including on its page, I noticed that you did not include the artist or copyright information on the page itself for the newer image that you uploaded, "Talon5.png". That information must be noted on the page using the image, not just in the image's metadata. The way you previously credited Sonya100years on the same page is perfect for attributing the artist. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. * [[User talk:CASTLEVD]]: Hello! Thank you for helping relate more information about the images you uploaded for your characters, [[Liylith (platinum)]] and [[Cadance (platinum)]]. While reviewing the recent updates you made to those pages, I noticed that the artist or copyright information still is not clearly stated on the pages themselves for the images you uploaded, "Liylith2.png" and "Candance3.jpg". That information must be noted on the page using the image, not just in the image's metadata. * [[User_talk:WELCHA]]: Hello! Thank you for adding updates to the Ebon Gate festival sections. While I was reviewing updates to [[Evermore Hollow]], I saw that "EbonGateEvermoreHollow.png" did not have information about the original source or that permission was granted to use it on the wiki by the artist. There was also nothing in the file's upload information to indicate that, either. Please see [[Help:Style#Copyrights]] for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the map, you can simply note that instead. * [[User_talk:LORDCARANORN]]: Hello! It has been nice getting to know Caranorn on his [[Caranorn_(prime)|character page]]. While I was looking at the coat of arms image on his page, "Caranorn Coat of Arms.png", I noticed that it did not have information about the original source or that permission was granted to use it. I did see that you noted it had a Creative Commons License CC-BY-SA-ALL on the image upload, however that unfortunately does not satisfy the wiki requirements of crediting the source. Please see [[Help:Style#Copyrights]] for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. :Hello again! I appreciate that you adding a link on your image, "TLunaryna Portrait.jpg", back to the artist's Instagram page from [[Lunaryna (prime)]]. Unfortunately a link by itself is not sufficient to note who the image creator is and that you have permission from them to display their artwork. If you need an example of how to do this, the character page for [[Arenglae (prime)]] does this very clearly for all of its portraits. Thanks for understanding!
