Windfellow's Retreat Festival 2020
This year's Mist Harbor Festival is entitled "Windfellow's Insurrection," and no questions will be answered relating to the name. It will be held at the site of last year's Festival, ("Windfellow's Retreat").
This festival will run from July 25th at 9am EST to July 31st at 9pm EST. It's important to note the following with regards to the schedule:
July 25th, 26th, and 27th (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) are the ONLY days which will feature merchant activities. That is to say, raffles, services, and the like. The 28th through the 31st, the shops will remain open, but there will be no live merchanting activity of any kind. Instead, this time will be utilized for the storyline portion of the event.
Speaking of the storyline, there will be an ingrained narrative wound through the whole event that people are encouraged to play along with, to whatever extent they wish. The gargoyles are returning, and there's change in the air! There will be hints and tidbits of the story during the merchanting portion of the festival, then there will be more of a focus on the actual narrative during the subsequent days.
There will be a nice selection of services offered, and teasers will be provided when the time gets a little closer at hand.
I hope to see you all for Windfellow's Insurrection!

We are currently 9 days (ish) away from the opening of the Festival, and I have a few tidbits to pass along... and a few more for those who are feeling particularly industrious!
A) - There will be a private property raffled* off at this Festival. This is a pre-existing property (Coral Villa), and the property is currently open to the public for any who wish to peruse the contents. Two VERY important things to note here: 1) There will be a surcharge for the property which must be collected before the winner of the raffle may take possession of the property. This surcharge is IN ADDITION to the cost of the ticket, and will be around 10,000,000 silvers, give or take a bit. 2) This raffle will ONLY BE AVAILABLE to citizens of Mist Harbor. One slightly less critical, but still notable note: Transfer of the property will not be instantaneous, and may take a day or two, as there are things to set up behind the scenes.
B - There will be two new scripts debuting at the Festival from yours truly. One of them will be distributed by Ambie, and she very firmly terms the items in question "Wermth". I'll leave you to decipher that for now. These will not be sold in a shop, but from a cart, and you will need to catch Ambie working in order to obtain or unlock one. Note: Ambie will not be working in any way with "Fishies" at this Festival.
(*It was announced at the OOC meeting that this property would be auctioned off, but those plans have been changed.)
There will be more teasers delivered in the days leading up to the Festival, but for those who would like a bit of advance knowledge, I present the following, with the note that these represent a small fraction of the services being offered. Please remember my love of factions when deciphering these.
Item 1: 20392646058070208807070292
Item 2: 950204469245033020408

(For those working on these, clues will be given in subsequent posts. Have fun!)

>look at reedy-looking gargoyle You see a fairly typical reedy-looking gargoyle. It appears to be in good shape. It has nothing at this time. >ask gargoyle about Dread Lord The reedy-looking gargoyle stares at you for a long moment before replying. When it does, its tones are low. "The Dread Lord earned his name through his fearful and terrible magics. This is his lair, his home, and we are all his subjects. Anger him not if you value your life." >ask gargoyle about gargoyles The reedy-looking gargoyle puffs its chest up proudly, grinning at you. "Fine specimens, aren't we? The Dread Lord made us, you know. All of us, in one fantastic demonstration of power. Since that day we've worked hard to repay him, as we literally owe him our lives." After a moment, the reedy-looking gargoyle adds in a thoughtful tone, "I believe he's trying to figure out how to do it again..." >ask gargoyle about keep The reedy-looking gargoyle looks around, taking in the stone walls surrounding it. "We built it for him, you know. The gargoyles. The Dread Lord used to have a far less suitable structure here, and we wanted him to have an appropriate abode, so we constructed it ourselves, making it everything it should be, to suit the Dread Lord." >ask gargoyle about festival The reedy-looking gargoyle blinks once before responding, "Yes, yes! Welcome! We are happy to welcome you to this Festival, which will surely be the greatest in the lands. We have arranged everything for maximum effect, and hope that you enjoy yourselves, and tell others!"
