Announcement: Ebon Gate 2026 - Welcome to Evermore Hollow (Guidebook QUEST Update)

Category: Events
Subject: Guidebook Quest Updated to QUEST System
Author: GS4-CASIL
Date: 2026-10-08

This year, the original quest (formerly known as Newly Unliving Registry) to obtain your Guidebook to the Unliving has been converted to the QUEST system. It will now be obtainable through QUEST LIST. It will take you page-by-page through the guidebook, as you learn about Naidem and Evermore Hollow. By putting it into QUEST, we are able to give a little more guidance on where you should go with the quest tracker in Saga or via QUEST INFO, but the original puzzles still exist.

As part of this update, if you lose your guidebook and need a replacement, you will no longer need to complete the quest over again to fill out your guidebook. It will pick up where you left off in the guidebook progression, whether it was fully complete or only partially completed.

Additionally, this is no longer a one-and-done quest. You can now complete the quest once a year for 5,000 experience. This is entirely optional. Your guidebook will not change its completion status by accepting the quest; instead, it will be just revisiting the areas already unlocked in your guidebook. If you have only partially unlocked the guidebook, it will continue unlocking the guidebook once you complete the appropriate parts of the quest.

If you are completing a guidebook for the first time, the guidebook will also include the original RPA obtainable via KISS upon completion. If you have already completed the quest in previous years, the RPA was already provided to you, so it will not apply to completion of this quest.

The major change here is that the quest now has a sequential order per the guidebook, meaning you have to do the chapters in order, rather than being able to do them in any order.

If for some reason you do run into a bug that prevents progression, please be sure NOT to abandon the quest in an attempt to fix it, as it will start the cooldown timer and you will not be able to pick the quest back up. Instead, ASSIST (and/or ping me on Discord).

tldr

The EG guidebook quest is now in QUEST LIST and is repeatable once a year for experience.
