Azure driftglass rests against my thumb, cool and fully worn. It came by trade from Van Anicola, carried inland before water took its long work. Riverbeds dulled its edges, seasons pressing it into patience. I turn it once, then let it slip back into the small clay urn, where it settles among the others without sound.

I move when no eyes follow. Kah’lewas asks for that. The olysos taught us—drop, leave, go. Giving should scatter without pattern or witness.

By dawn, nests will be blessed. My work unseen, my presence forgotten, my pockets light, the world quietly graced.
