As part of our ongoing review of the recent treasure update, we are implementing the following changes:

  • Treasure Chest Contents: Treasure chests were intended to be rarer while maintaining the same relative output. We discovered an issue where the output did not correctly align with the decreased rarity. This has been resolved, and players will now find significantly more items within each treasure chest. Please note that silver and gold ingots were unaffected by this issue. This increased output only applies to chests found while searching a creature, as the rarity of other chests remains unchanged.
  • Silver to Gold Ingots Conversion: The threshold for excess silver to potentially convert into gold ingots has been reduced from 5,500 to 2,500. The specific amount converted remains random. This change is intended to further reduce the weight of treasure boxes, as gold ingots weigh less than silver coins.
  • Floating Disk (511): This spell has been updated to such that locked treasure chests now count as 1/3 (rounded up) for item count storage capacity. Character locked treasure chests do not receive this benefit. You may need to dismiss any existing disk then recast the spell for this to take effect.
  • Open Sea Adventures (OSA) Treasure Piles and Grimswarm chests: To align with the intent of the treasure cap and remain consistent with standard hunting areas, OSA treasure piles and Grimswarm chests will now have a limited number of searches for characters subject to the soft treasure cap. This also ensures that characters can successfully `RAZE` a defeated ship without requiring an excessive number of search attempts.
