| Beeswax candles, their flames burning with a pale blue light, are scattered over every flat surface in this small shrine. A flat stone altar takes up the entire back wall with several totems and idols placed reverently atop it, while a squat cedar box pyrographed with tribal markings is shoved into a far corner. Small animal bones, feathers, and talons litter the floor and the air smells faintly musty. You also see a stone-framed oak sign. | |

In the Common language, it reads:
The items on the altar are special; they hold the ability to capture the essence of an animal.
The totem is worn around the neck, the fetish is worn around the wrist, and the idol is worn pinned to the chest. The note in the box will let you freely change where your totem is worn, however.
Each totem comes with a spiritual essence already attached, though you can change this to any animal-like creature, familiar, Animal Companion, or even to a spirit locked within any so-called Animalistic Spirit item.
The parchment in the box will let you open up another free space in your totem to hold an additional spiritual essence; each totem can hold up to 5, so you can use up to 4 of these parchments on your totem.
The papyrus will allow you to customize your totem even further by changing the accent material instead of just the base material.
The vellum lets you unlock the ability of the spiritual essence to be visible as you walk from room to room.
The slip lets you unlock a few more purely aesthetic actions on your totem.
The scroll will let you unlock the Bestial Power ability, which will allow your totem to assist you in combat. NOTE: You can choose what version this assistance will take by TURNing the scroll before you redeem it. Once chosen, the totem's path cannot be changed. The differently colored papers will unlock the strength of this ability once unlocked. All potential abilities are passive. The ability is powered by charges gained by feeding the totem skins from creatures.
WARNING: Unlocking Bestial Power will make your totem functional.
NOTE: You may only wear one totem at a time, so choose wisely.
