The Winter War (storyline)/2022-11-30 - Stirring the Pot in Icemule TC (log)
2022-11-30 Stiring the Pot in Icemule TC (log)
Captured from the Perspective of Opalina
[Icemule Trace, Town Center]
The center of the slumbering frontier town is overseen by a sturdy mule statue carved from glacial ice, which rises from the surrounding snow on a plinth of cold dark stone. The brilliance of the stars winks through the ice, casting prismatic glints of light over a scattering of townsfolk. Some halflings chatter quietly by a colorful silver-bound barrel emblazoned with a row of tiny grey penguins, while others stargaze on colorful cloaks spread out across the hard ground. Near the comfort of a smooth dark stone bench, a roaring bonfire crackles merrily, lending its warmth and illumination to the surroundings. You also see a fluffy white cat, the Lisza disk, a stormy grey lynx, the Elliathe disk, a massive grey wolf, the sparking Dendum disk, a resplendent obsidian black raven that is flying around, the gold-dusted Mucarluk disk crowned with sylvarraend rubies, an inlaid leather grimoire soaring around with its gilt-swept ethereal violet pinions, a yellow-eyed silvery lor mandrake sprouting yellow primroses, a lazy wild silver-grey dog, the web-draped Missoni disk, the repousse copper Perigourd disk raised in leafy designs, the flaming Saraphenia disk, the palm frond-shaped Leafiara disk, the Lilanna disk, a massive snowy white tiger, a pale-faced coppery barn owl, a green-eyed orange chinchilla, an emperor penguin, a vine-carved cherrywood cart with some stuff on it, a blue and white pavilion and a blued steel wastebin.
Also here: Lady Belledandie who is kneeling, TALLIVER, Bakarus, Defender of Mist Harbor Teaberry, Zuiki, the body of Kainnis who is lying down, Commodore Nodyre, Kuiu, Mistress Lisza, Ralkean, Issenflow, Lady Elliathe, Lady Aliashyrah, Draelor, Geijon, Dendum, Lord Mucarluk, Missoni, Perigourd, Lilanna, Event Planner Leafiara, Great Lady Saraphenia, Lord Randsford, Lord Sorlu, High Lord Grutak, Town Councilor Vaemyr, Roelon, Mistress Loralaii
Obvious paths: north, east, south, west
Mucarluk says, speaking to TALLIVER, "It is a safer method of transport."
TALLIVER tiredly says, "It is winter. Even the most temperate pastures near here are buried in snow deeper than I am tall."
Sorlu says, speaking to TALLIVER, "Then, Mayor Dabbings, I suggest a couple options. One is to flat out deny them, as I have suggested. But, perhaps if they are willing to pay a reasonable tax..."
Roelon folds his arms over his chest.
A sudden gust makes the snow dance and swirl around you.
Sorlu shrugs slightly.
Roelon nods at TALLIVER.
TALLIVER says, speaking sharply to Aliashyrah, "No."
Saraphenia asks, "So now they're going to tease the town by flying over?"
Missoni nods sympathetically at TALLIVER.
Nodyre says, speaking to Sorlu, "I think you've done enough."
Teaberry says, "Travel by air in such cold temperatures is dangerous, anyway. We know that."
Sorlu smiles at Nodyre.
Aliashyrah rolls her eyes at Nodyre.
Grutak says, "Wipe out Briarmoon Cover. Leave them no options."
TALLIVER says, "I am mad as a stuck rolton at the Councillor at the moment, but I do not believe this is his *fault*."
Sorlu purrs, speaking to Nodyre, "But I have so much more to offer."
TALLIVER glances at Sorlu.
Saraphenia says, "I've never travelled by air."
Ralkean compares this situation to the backside of an angry rolton.
Randsford nods in agreement at Bakarus.
Sorlu smiles at TALLIVER.
Roelon nods slowly.
Nodyre says, speaking to TALLIVER, "You're too lenient."
Sorlu assures, speaking to TALLIVER, "It's all under control."
Aliashyrah challenges, speaking to TALLIVER, "You are mad at him for writing a private letter to you?"
TALLIVER says, speaking grudgingly to Sorlu, "Besides, the letter was in my care when it was stolen."
Kuiu steeples his fingers together, quietly observing his surroundings.
Nodyre says, speaking to Grutak, "And you've lost your mind."
TALLIVER says, "If anyone is to blame, it's me."
Aliashyrah asks, speaking to TALLIVER, "Do you wish your Councillors to remain silent then and be only councillors in name?"
Missoni glances skeptically at TALLIVER.
Loralaii darkly says, "Thats for sure."
Mucarluk says, speaking to Saraphenia, "I dont think they are teasing the town. Most airships have to follow a flight pattern to get to designated landing spots."
Teaberry asks, speaking to TALLIVER, "Where was the letter when it was stolen?"
Blade Yardie just arrived.
Nodyre says, speaking to TALLIVER, "For a letter written by one man speaking for the entire council? Hardly your fault, sir."
The white cat pads around the area.
Grutak says, speaking to Nodyre, "If the Cove doesn't exist, they'll have to find other options in the north."
Roelon says, speaking deeply to TALLIVER, "We will hae to focus on the important issue for the momment."
Randsford says, speaking to Aliashyrah, "Let us not pretend this is some private letter. Sorlu has made his opinions public for some time. He is one councilor but his words carry the weight of Icemule."
TALLIVER says, speaking to Teaberry, "In my office."
Randsford shakes his head.
Nodyre says, speaking to Grutak, "Madness."
Sorlu says, speaking to TALLIVER, "I do not blame you, nor do I find myself responsible. Let us place this on the shoulders of those who deserve it....Ta'Vaalor."
The coppery barn owl cocks his head intelligently.
Saraphenia says, speaking to Mucarluk, "I know less than a kobold about airships."
Sorlu nods at TALLIVER.
TALLIVER nods at Vaemyr.
Missoni reasonably says, "Surely it does not help to place blame, as a number of events had to occur."
Yardie glances at a pale-faced coppery barn owl.
Nodyre gazes up into the heavens.
Perigourd scratches at his beard.
Roelon deeply says, "We would hae to deal with moonsedge, or makes the waters safe enough fir trade."
Vaemyr nods at TALLIVER.
Leafiara thoughtfully taps a finger against her lips.
The severe snowstorm blankets the entire area into white drifts.
Grutak asks, speaking to Nodyre, "I'm still waiting, do you expect our people to starve in the cold?"
Mucarluk says, speaking to Saraphenia, "I had the chance to walk on a few of them while I resided in Vaalor and Illistim."
A loud popping noise disturbs the silence, a flurry of sparks erupting from within the bonfire's flames.
Nodyre says, speaking to Grutak, "Nobody is going to starve."
Aliashyrah says, speaking to Randsford, "You are correct. He speaks openly when asked and does not twist his words to suit his audience. But I was at the meeting when it was discussed and his voice was not alone in expressing unhappiness about teh current state of affairs with Ta'Vaalor."
Mucarluk says, "They are real marvels of technology."
Perigourd says, speaking to Grutak, "Perhaps you'll be able to purchase food on overland routes from the new barony."
Perigourd folds his hands behind his back.
Randsford nods in agreement at Aliashyrah.
Sorlu smiles.
Missoni agrees with Perigourd.
A massive grey wolf snuffs with only a passing interest at the scents of nearby food. He obviously must be well-fed.
The dog twists its neck to raise one of its ears up to one side and begins sniffing furiously while staring vacantly ahead.
TALLIVER says, speaking to Sorlu, "However frustrated I might be, it's clear that the Vaalor are escalating this issue."
Yardie glances at Perigourd.
The coppery barn owl hops around the area.
Saraphenia says, speaking to Mucarluk, "I had a less than pleasant experience in Vaalor."
Randsford says, speaking to Aliashyrah, "And thus we are at the crossroads we stand today."
Roelon nods slowly.
Grutak asks, speaking to Perigourd, "So we turn beggers to the Empire?"
Sorlu nods in agreement.
Grutak says, "I think not."
Kuiu carefully brushes the volcanic ash and soot off himself.
Vaemyr ponders.
Nodyre says, speaking to TALLIVER, "Can they be blamed? Our councilor provoked them."
Leafiara agrees, speaking to Grutak, "Absolutely not."
You ponder.
Roelon says, speaking deeply to TALLIVER, "We will need to start talks with them. Nae matter how this happened."
Grutak asks, speaking to Nodyre, "Are you mad?"
Roelon deeply says, "The problem is here."
TALLIVER says, speaking to Nodyre, "A stolen private letter."
A blinding flurry of snowflakes drifts down from the grey skies.
Kainnis's body suddenly grows darker.
Mucarluk says, speaking to Saraphenia, "They are the stubbornist of all the Elven houses."
Aliashyrah nods approvingly at TALLIVER.
Leafiara hums a cheerful tune! Pure white and bold red mana wisps dance about her like wind-borne leaves, then pulse brightly as she sings a sylvan phrase in a strong, clear voice.
Leafiara gestures at Kainnis.
A luminescent web briefly forms around Kainnis, then fades into the body.
Fastidiously preening, a pale-faced coppery barn owl shakes a few crumbs out of his feathers.
Lilanna nods at Roelon.
Vaemyr says, speaking to Nodyre, "To them, it looked like all your councilers provoked them, although I know that's not true."
Kainnis just left.
Nodyre says, speaking to TALLIVER, "Stolen or not, the pen who wrote it is responsible."
Sorlu asks, speaking to TALLIVER, "I do what I might to seek those who stand with us. What might you suggest to us as the best course of action at this point?"
Kainnis just arrived.
Missoni says, speaking to TALLIVER, "Perhaps they did not know it was stolen."
Grutak asks, speaking to Nodyre, "WHy is Sorlu being counted as provoking someone in his own home?"
A little snow bird flies in on a gust of wind and alights nearby.
Dendum says, speaking to Grutak, ""Can put together hunting parties....it is winter but the beast of the north still stir...there are great caribou in the Pinefar region that can provide meat and hides."
Elliathe says, "It would be difficult to starve when there is no end to the roltons around here."
Nodyre says, speaking to Vaemyr, "Exactly - the blame for this lies at Sorlu's feet."
Nodyre says, "I suggest we offer HIM up to Ta'Vaalor."
Bakarus says, speaking to TALLIVER, "As a concerned citizen, what is the appropriate response to their escalation? We cannot simply sit on our hands."
Missoni says, speaking to TALLIVER, "If they thought they were meant to see it, one could see how they would be rather incensed."
Grutak says, "We are not provincial slaves of the Empire or Vaalor. WE are a free and independent people."
Aliashyrah asks, speaking to Nodyre, "You only listen to your Mayor when he says what you like. Cease your pointing and focus on the matter at hand. Or are you incapable of doing that?"
Nodyre says, speaking to Aliashyrah, "Let the adults speak."
Nalver just arrived.
Nodyre waves a hand at Aliashyrah, dismissing her indifferently.
Nalver squints at TALLIVER.
Geijon furrows his brow.
Dendum adds, speaking to Grutak, ""Good chance to practice with spear and bow as well..."
The severe snowstorm blankets the entire area into white drifts.
Nodyre says, speaking to TALLIVER, "Mayor, you're allowing yourself to be manipulated by a crew of fools."
Vaemyr says, speaking to TALLIVER, "Might I suggest, actually initiating an open dialog with Ta'Vaalor? You've had cordial relations in the past, since that letter was somewhat of a missunderstanding, I'm surprised you wouldn't be able to work past it."
Missoni agrees with Vaemyr.
Leafiara asks, speaking to Vaemyr, "Do you somehow not see the irony of your attempting to intervene in Landing politics while throwing your support behind a baron who's threatening the Icemule council not to intervene in Icemule politics?"
You hear very soft footsteps.
Sorlu says, speaking to Aliashyrah, "At the end of the day, Councillor Nodyre is much more concerned about his merchant fleet than the people who was voted in to protect."
Grutak says, speaking to Nodyre, "Or patriots. We aren't cowards."
Nodyre says, speaking to Vaemyr, "I suggested this exact course already."
Sorlu frowns at Aliashyrah.
You hear very soft footsteps.
Nodyre says, speaking to Grutak, "You're just a fool."
Aliashyrah nods slightly.
Mucarluk grins.
TALLIVER says, speaking to Nodyre, "I find our options remarkably limited."
Vaemyr nods at Nodyre.
Nodyre says, speaking to TALLIVER, "Diplomacy."
Bakarus says, speaking to Nodyre, "I demand to be protected."
Leafiara says, speaking to Vaemyr, "Not to intervene in Landing politics, rather."
Leafiara clears her throat.
Aliashyrah grins at Bakarus.
Sorlu looks thoughtfully at TALLIVER.
Grutak says, "Fool I may be, but I am not afraid to fight."
Falvicar whispers, "You should ask him if you could get authority to talk to Vaalor and we can go on another trip."
Falvicar nods to you.
Sorlu says, speaking to TALLIVER, "We do have a way to defend our skies, you know."
Nodyre says, speaking to TALLIVER, "It is well past time that we actually engage with Ta'Vaalor."
Sorlu nods knowingly at TALLIVER.
A little snow bird hops over the cold ground, chirping happily.
TALLIVER asks, speaking to Sorlu, "How?"
Teaberry says, "Well, Sorlu could apologize and see if that helps."
Perigourd glances between Sorlu and TALLIVER.
Vaemyr begins chuckling at Leafiara!
Gusts of heavy snowfall blow across the area.
Perigourd says, speaking to TALLIVER, "To bring this to a military conflict would be unwise."
Sorlu untucks his seed charm.
Colored light gathers in the runic lettering scrawled over Sorlu's seed charm as he turns it. You can see winged figures faintly illuminated beneath the stone.
Nodyre says, "Incredibly unwise."
Sorlu says, speaking to TALLIVER, "A favor is owed."
TALLIVER walks over to the bench and settles down.
Nalver asks, "Why not capture the griffons from the Landing and let them loose on great mountain Aenatumgena?"
Teaberry says, "He doesn't have to mean it. But it might help."
Falvicar grins at Teaberry.
TALLIVER asks, speaking to Sorlu, "A favor?"
Nodyre asks, "Why are we even considering escalation?"
Grutak asks, speaking to Perigourd, "Aren't you from the Empire?"
The roaring bonfire burns brighter as a burly individual hefts another log upon it.
Roelon says, speaking deeply to Grutak, "If it comes to ah fight, we fight. But we will nae be the ones to have started it. Or we are nae better."
Randsford says, "At this point the first blow has been landed. We can continue to be fools and retaliate or focus on defending ourselves and avoiding further provocations. The message has been sent and received by both parties. We must act wisely instead of emotionally at this time."
Aliashyrah glances between TALLIVER and Sorlu.
Yardie singsongs, speaking quietly to himself, "Can't blame the Faendryl this tiiiime."
You hear very soft footsteps.
Sorlu says, speaking to TALLIVER, "By those we watched fly into the air, and shred Zeban like cheese."
You hear very soft footsteps.
Sorlu nods at TALLIVER.
The mirror images surrounding Lilanna undulate and grow stronger.
Lilanna renews her songs.
Aliashyrah says, speaking sharply to Grutak, "Not now, Grutak."
You quietly say, "'::TALLIVER I think it would be beneficial to create a small coalition to approach Ta'Vaalor."
Nodyre says, speaking to Randsford, "Agreed."
Elliathe asks, speaking to Nodyre, "So you prefer capitulation?"
Teaberry says, "I don't like the idea of fighting a bunch of elves whose whole culture is warfare."
Falvicar says, "There's no reason for war."
Nodyre says, speaking to Elliathe, "I prefer conversation and diplomacy."
Mucarluk nods at Teaberry.
Falvicar frowns.
Perigourd asks, speaking to Sorlu, "You're expecting the Disir to leave the Angargreft?"
Nalver says, speaking to Nodyre, "Because we elected an outsider who wanted war. That's why."
Grutak says, "What in the world makes you think it hasn't been started already! We are at WAR. It's just not clashing steel yet."
Randsford nods in agreement at Grutak.
Belledandie put a lacquered faewood runestaff incised with elaborate sigils in her spidersilk cloak. As it leaves her hands, the illumination of its sigils slowly ebbs away.
Belledandie stands up.
Lady Belledandie just went north.
Nodyre says, speaking to Grutak, "You have lost your mind."
Sorlu smiles at Perigourd.
Lady Exchequer Leyann just arrived.
Leyann appears to be checking her pockets for something, but finds them empty.
Randsford says, speaking to Grutak, "So let us not provoke an enemy and instead strength ourselves."
Leyann raises a hand while murmuring a soft orison...
For just a moment, the surface of Missoni's lamellar corselet ripples like water with a quicksilver gleam.
Teaberry says, "Well, no one is fighting yet, so it's not a fighting war yet."
Randsford glances between Nodyre and Grutak.
Leyann gestures at Kainnis.
Nothing happens.
A little snow bird chirps, filling the air with staccato music.
Randsford says, "This provocation within will not help us."
Aliashyrah says, speaking to you, "A delegation is a wise first step."
A massive snowy white tiger luxuriously digs her claws into the ground.
Yardie says, "Wait."
Aliashyrah says, speaking to you, "There is much to be discussed."
A pale-faced coppery barn owl briefly puffs up into a ball of feathers.
Yardie asks, "You saw that glow?"
Yardie searches around for a moment.
Aliashyrah says, speaking to Yardie, "Yes."
A deep growl rumbles in Nalver's chest as he slices his hand through the air, cutting invisible runes.
Nalver gestures.
Nalver appears to be keenly aware of his surroundings.
Perigourd grabs a perfectly clear crystal sphere from a raw leather bag cinched with braided maoral roots inside of his green suede cloak.
TALLIVER glances at Sorlu and slowly exhales.
Suddenly, Fluster appears in the area holding onto a ring he has just placed on his finger.
Fluster fidgets with a gold and brass ring.
Vaemyr whispers something to Leafiara.
Fluster put a burnished gold kakore staff with light-hued banding in his spidersilk cloak.
Nalver exclaims, "Meow!"
Perigourd gazes intensely into his clear crystal sphere.
Nalver makes a purring sound.
Saraphenia asks, speaking to Grutak, "So it's a Cold War?"
Yardie asks, speaking to Aliashyrah, "Is that normal?"
Lord Fluster just went east.
Perigourd tucks a perfectly clear crystal sphere into a raw leather bag cinched with braided maoral roots inside of his green suede cloak.
Leyann asks, "Is anyone healing?"
Leafiara can offer Vaemyr only a blank expression.
Aliashyrah asks, speaking to Yardie, "In this town?"
Nalver thumps Saraphenia!
Mucarluk says, "King Qalinor is an understanding leader."
Aliashyrah holds up her hand and tilts it side to side in a so-so gesture.
Grutak says, "The Regulators WILL defend Icemule and the Northern Realm."
The white cat gazes at Issenflow.
Saraphenia gawks at Nalver.
Leyann appears to be checking her pockets for something, but finds them empty.
Yardie says, speaking worriedly to Aliashyrah, "That's...not reassuring."
Leyann slides an inlaid gold ring off her finger.
Leafiara turns toward Grutak and renders a sharp hand salute.
Dendum inquires, speaking to Grutak, ""But will they feed icemule?"
Leyann slides a gold and brass ring on her finger.
Suddenly Leyann vanishes!
A buoyant snow spirit hurriedly flits out of sight.
Lord Fluster just arrived.
Saraphenia asks, speaking to Nalver, "What's wrong with you??"
Sorlu smiles at TALLIVER.
Teaberry says, "Try not to defend until we're attacked or the Mayot declares war."
Aliashyrah whispers aloud, speaking to Leafiara, "Even if he did not see the irony, I did."
Missoni whispers, "I wonder... you were in Ta'Vaalor over weekend and are quite familiar with the High Legionnaire... Do you think perhaps that could be an inroad to diplomacy?"
Your breath returns to normal.
Leafiara nods in agreement at Aliashyrah.
Grutak says, speaking to Dendum, "If needs be, we will."
Sorlu says, speaking to TALLIVER, "With enough imagination, there is much we can accomplish."
Urlach just arrived.
Ralkean pours himself a mug of rum-laced coffee.
Sorlu grins slowly at TALLIVER.
The dog wanders over to Roelon and sniffs at him suspiciously for a moment.
Ralkean takes a drink from his rum-laced coffee.
Lord Fluster just went east.
Nodyre asks, speaking to TALLIVER, "Why in the world are you listening to this one?"
Falvicar smirks at Grutak.
Loralaii darkly says, "What are we even waiting for? Permission from the mayor? He is the one who let out town be overrun by krolvin."
Dendum nods eagerly.
Yardie glances at Draelor.
Nodyre nods at Kainnis.
Nodyre adds Kainnis to his group.
Sorlu says, speaking to TALLIVER, "The world is changing, we must stay ahead of it."
You quietly whisper to Missoni, "I was told it would take more evidence."
Bakarus takes a deep breath.
Urlach just went west.
A haze of black mist gathers around Nodyre as he prepares a spell...
Mucarluk pours himself a mug of strong Elanthian coffee.
Sorlu nods at TALLIVER.
Nodyre gestures at Kainnis.
Bending at the waist, Nodyre forcefully brings his hands down upon Kainnis's chest and pushes for several seconds. Nodyre releases the pressure and then repeats the process of compressing his chest for several seconds, all the while murmuring a soft prayer over him. With one final push upon his sternum, Nodyre releases a surge of divine energy into Kainnis.
Kainnis seems slightly different.
Nalver says, "After this Ta'Vaalor business, I have an idea about why Andelas is here and mad."
Loralaii mumbles something to herself.
Loralaii gestures at Kainnis.
The glazed look leaves Kainnis.
Missoni frowns at you.
Sorlu says, "We can all feel it."
Loralaii mumbles something to herself.
Loralaii gestures at Nodyre.
The glazed look leaves Nodyre.
Sorlu gazes in wonder at his surroundings.
Missoni whispers, "Evidence that the letter was stolen?"
Barjin just arrived . Mucarluk takes a drink from his Elanthian coffee.
Urlach just arrived.
The surroundings are engulfed in gusts of white snow.
Yardie asks, speaking to Draelor, "Brother will have thoughts on this, no?"
Nodyre suddenly appears drained as an ephemeral shroud departs from his form.
You quietly whisper to Missoni, "They have the letter and brushed it off."
Lord Barjin just went east.
A little snow bird busies itself by preening its darkly gleaming feathers.
Urlach just went east.
Roelon folds his arms over his chest.
The dog paws at the ground, and its fur twitches and quivers for a moment.
Nodyre nods at Kainnis.
Urlach just arrived.
Lord Barjin just arrived.
Missoni nods slowly to you.
Barjin just left.
You quietly whisper to Missoni, "At least from what they told me."
Suddenly, Leyann appears in the area holding onto a ring she has just placed on her finger.
A buoyant snow spirit floats in, following Leyann.
Sorlu says, speaking to TALLIVER, "We must not kneel to those who would have us kneel."
Leyann just left.
Teaberry says, "I feel like Rammael is manipulating the Ta'Vaalor business."
Sorlu nods once.
Draelor says, speaking to Yardie, "I think he voiced them the other night, but yes."
Saraphenia asks, speaking to Nalver, "You thump me then ignore me?? What the hell, man??"
Leafiara agrees with Sorlu.
Urlach kneels down and begins to meditate.
Kainnis suddenly appears weakened as an ephemeral shroud departs from his form.
Aliashyrah says, speaking to Nodyre, "Perhaps you are confused on the role of a councillor as you choose to dismiss your duties so often. The council is voted in for times such as these. Councillor Sorlu is one of five that speaks and advises the Mayor. Perhaps spend less time telling the Mayor to dismiss his voice and more time offering other solutions."
Perigourd gazes up into the heavens.
Nalver says, speaking to Saraphenia, "I tripped."
Sparks take flight from the roaring bonfire as a log settles deeper into the flames, their brilliance drawing your gaze.
Missoni whispers, "Interesting. I wonder what sort of evidence they require. There are many witnesses to Rammael's exploits."
Randsford says, speaking to Sorlu, "And we should not pick fights where there are none to pick. Yes the treaty is a disgrace but there are better ways to approach things."
The white cat rubs up against Teaberry.
Peche just arrived.
Peche flags down a nearby urchin and exchanges a few words.
The urchin nods to Peche and takes off, with Peche in tow.
Randsford stares at Sorlu.
Nodyre says, speaking to Aliashyrah, "I'm sorry, all I heard was white noise."
Sorlu says, "We see this happening in the Landing. The people there are ready to riot...it is only a matter of time before that town is town in two."
Grutak says, "I have said it before, and will say it again. Outsiders have far too much influence in our discussions. People who refuse to defend themselves and refuse to see the threats for what they are."
Nodyre turns to face TALLIVER.
TALLIVER says, "I agree that we must explore diplomacy."
Sylthana just arrived.
Aliashyrah smiles at Nodyre.
Roelon nods at TALLIVER.
Sorlu nods at TALLIVER.
Nodyre says, speaking to TALLIVER, "I urge you to convene the council, Mayor."
Lilanna nods at TALLIVER.
The surroundings are engulfed in gusts of white snow . Suddenly, Carsun appears in the area holding onto a ring he has just placed on his finger.
Vaemyr nods at Nodyre.
Carsun murmurs a simple, mystical chant...
Carsun concentrates.
Carsun's head looks better.
Mister Carsun just went north.
Aliashyrah says, speaking to Nodyre, "Of course. My mistake trying to speak to one so willfully deaf."
The mirror images surrounding Lilanna undulate and grow stronger.
Lilanna renews her songs.
Nodyre says, speaking to TALLIVER, "You are listening to one man who has already caused the town great harm."
An ethereal golden collection bowl drifts out of Falvicar, then vanishes.
Falvicar seems slightly different.
Falvicar seems hesitant, looking unsure of himself.
The air about Falvicar shimmers momentarily before the evanescent shield surrounding him collapses.
A white glow rushes away from Falvicar.
A subtle light fades from Falvicar's eyes.
Your sense of faith and conviction wanes. You are less sure of yourself.
Roelon deeply says, "Ah must also agree a well. We must also plan fir if it fails.."
Roelon nods at TALLIVER.
Aliashyrah says, "Thankfully, others are not so unwise."
Sorlu says, speaking to Randsford, "But what is constantly being missed is that we didn't start this fight. We just intend to end it."
Roelon nods at Grutak.
You quietly whisper to Missoni, "But Rammael hasn't reached out to Ta'Vaalor just Icemule."
The white cat cleans her coat carefully.
The air stops shimmering around Nodyre.
Nodyre's spirits are no longer lifted.
Nodyre says, speaking to Sorlu, "You started this, actually."
Leafiara nods approvingly at Sorlu.
Nodyre says, "You."
TALLIVER says, speaking to Sorlu, "The disir... I cannot imagine that they would be of assistance."
Ghengkin just arrived.
Ghengkin folds his hands and deeply intones a sonorous mantra...
Ghengkin gestures.
Ghengkin's skin seems to briefly glow with a dull light that causes his complexion to take on a rippled quality.
You suddenly feel less protected.
Ghengkin folds his hands and deeply intones a sonorous mantra...
Ghengkin gestures.
Eyes widening momentarily, Ghengkin gazes into the distance before adopting a thoughtful expression.
Aliashyrah walks over to the bench and settles down.
Ghengkin folds his hands and deeply intones a sonorous mantra...
Ghengkin gestures.
A series of black lines spirals outward from the center of Ghengkin's forehead, but quickly fade away.
Aliashyrah folds her hands in her lap.
Perigourd says, speaking to TALLIVER, "The disir could not be expected to leave the Angargreft unguarded indefinitely, eventually, they would have to return back."
A little snow bird warbles a pleasant song.
Ghengkin folds his hands and deeply intones a sonorous mantra...
Ghengkin gestures.
Ghengkin's hands grow hard and scaly.
Ghengkin folds his hands and deeply intones a sonorous mantra...
Ghengkin gestures.
The bones surrounding Ghengkin's forearms shift and fortify.
Sorlu says, speaking to TALLIVER, "No? Are they not of their word? A promise was given to me directly."
The brilliant, rapidly shifting aura around Nalver shimmers and flickers briefly before fading.
Geijon says, "Th' Crimson Legionnaires were here enmasse recently to offer assistance during th' Cold River discovery."
Missoni whispers, "No, but he had the letter sent to Ta'Vaalor, no? So if it could be proven that he did, perhaps they would recognize the misunderstanding."
The appearance of great calm leaves Urlach as he looks up and glances around.
Sorlu says, speaking to TALLIVER, "To help me, Icemule, in a time of need."
Missoni furrows her brow.
Geijon asks, "Finish a battle with Ta'Vaalor?"
Urlach stands up.
Randsford says, speaking to TALLIVER, "No but perhaps Tribia can."
TALLIVER nods slowly at Sorlu.
Kainnis put a jade-hilted vultite short sword in his wolf hide harness.
Kainnis put a jade-hilted vultite short sword in his wolf hide harness.
Geijon peers quizzically at Sorlu.
Kainnis removes some acantha leaf from behind a smooth dark stone bench.
Issenflow glances at Perigourd.
The emperor penguin shakes her head.
Mucarluk says, speaking to Sorlu, "Has it reach the level of fighting yet. Ive heard no news of Vaalor attacking Icemule."
Kainnis takes a bite of his acantha leaf.
Kainnis makes a horrible face!
Kainnis looks a little better.
Kainnis takes a bite of his acantha leaf.
Kainnis looks a little better.
You quietly whisper to Missoni, "Missoni from what I understand they took the letter to be written by a madman."
Nalver exclaims, speaking sternly to Sorlu, "YOU ARE NOT ICEMULE!"
Randsford says, speaking to TALLIVER, "The wyrms up north could be put to some use here."
You laugh softly, trying to hide your amusement.
Kainnis takes a bite of his acantha leaf.
Kainnis looks a little better.
Falvicar nods in agreement at Mucarluk.
Roelon nods at Randsford.
Sorlu says, speaking smoothly to TALLIVER, "Though of course I respect your office, and would never make such moves without consulting you first."
Leafiara furrows her brow.
Nodyre whispers something to Roelon.
Kainnis takes a bite of his acantha leaf.
Kainnis makes a horrible face!
Kainnis looks a little better.
Lilanna adopts an agreeable expression.
Missoni whispers, "Oh! Well, perhaps that is a good thing."
Urlach just went east.
Sorlu smiles at TALLIVER.
Grutak says, speaking to Nalver, "Maybe he should be."
Ghengkin folds his hands and deeply intones a sonorous mantra...
Ghengkin gestures.
A momentary eruption of starlit darkness emanates from Ghengkin's hand and engulfs him. Amidst the resulting twilight of inverted hues, double images of Ghengkin shiver slowly together into solidity.
Kainnis takes a bite of his acantha leaf.
Kainnis looks a little better.
Sorlu surreptitiously glances at Nodyre.
Lilanna scowls at Grutak.
Leafiara grins at Grutak.
Kainnis takes a bite of his acantha leaf.
Kainnis looks a little better.
Leafiara chuckles.
Kainnis takes a bite of his acantha leaf.
Kainnis looks a little better.
Aliashyrah removes some essence of water from behind a smooth dark stone bench.
Randsford glances at Grutak.
Mucarluk says, "I believe they came using diplomacy."
Mucarluk shrugs.
Randsford says, speaking to Grutak, "I will not trade a council for a king."
Aliashyrah put some essence of water behind a smooth dark stone bench.
Nalver loses some awareness.
Sorlu says, speaking to Nalver, "No, I am not Icemule. But I, like many, have sacrificed much for Her."
Kainnis put some acantha leaf under a smooth dark stone bench.
Lord Bolvyne just arrived.
Lord Bolvyne just went east.
Roelon deeply says, "If it comes to that, we would need ah way to defend the sky. Ah dislike war, ah hae been in many. If words can end it, so much the better."
A sudden gust makes the snow dance and swirl around you.
Roelon deeply says, "However."
Sorlu says, speaking to Nalver, "The promise was one that I pulled from the disir."
Leafiara tilts her head toward Roelon, examining him intently as the tip of one ear twitches briefly.
Aliashyrah nods in agreement at Roelon.
Lilanna says, speaking to Randsford, "Nae but i'd trade this one fer a btter council..."
Roelon asks, speaking deeply to TALLIVER, "Perhaps this is something we should meet about?"
Grutak says, speaking to Randsford, "He'd make a horrible king, great dicatator though. For a short time."
Kainnis stands up.
TALLIVER nods.
Perigourd asks, "So your solution is to engage one of the most powerful militaries on the continent by relying on creatures tainted by the blood of a fallen pillar of the Dark Alliance to gain an aerial advantage for a limited time?"
Mucarluk says, "Some people are so quick to rush into fight, without knowing the whole story first."
Kainnis just went east.
Falvicar says, "A Councillor does not represent Icemule nor all five of them. They simply reprsent just themselves. To send such a letter is of their own entire doing since it was not approved by the rest of them and clearly not by our Mayor."
A little snow bird busies itself by preening its darkly gleaming feathers.
Falvicar nods firmly.
Perigourd shakes his head, totally at a loss.
Randsford says, speaking to Grutak, "Not any better."
Naliya just arrived.
Teaberry says, "Promises given unwillingly will be fulfilled unwillingly."
TALLIVER says, "I think perhaps an open council meeting, if the Council is available now."
Naliya places her hand on her wide silver armband.
Suddenly, she vanishes!
Leafiara gives an approval gesture with her hand.
Sorlu smiles at Perigourd.
Nodyre nods at TALLIVER.
TALLIVER says, "This has become an open matter, I fear."
Ghengkin folds his hands and deeply intones a sonorous mantra...
Ghengkin gestures.
Ghengkin's eyes glaze over as he focuses on something unseen.
Nalver says, speaking to Sorlu, "You seem to be acting by yourself and suggesting things without counsel. I've quite had enough of it."
Yardie mutters, speaking to himself, "The dark alliance."
Ghengkin folds his hands and deeply intones a sonorous mantra...
Ghengkin gestures.
Eyes widening momentarily, Ghengkin gazes into the distance before adopting a thoughtful expression.
Ghengkin folds his hands and deeply intones a sonorous mantra...
Ghengkin gestures.
Ghengkin's hands grow hard and scaly.
Tetreves just strode in.
You nod.
Sorlu nods at TALLIVER.
You give Tetreves a friendly hug.
Randsford asks, "Shall we move inside where things may be quieter?"
Falvicar nods in agreement at TALLIVER.
Tetreves gives you a friendly hug.
Kainnis just arrived.
Roelon deeply says, "Ah wildfire it seems."
Randsford glances at Roelon.
Kainnis just went north.
Missoni slowly empties her lungs.
Dendum reminds, speaking to Falvicar, ""The councilor did not send the letter."
Aliashyrah says, speaking to TALLIVER, "You are blessed with having your councillors nearby. I believe only one requires summoning."
A bit of ash settles in the bonfire, dampening the flames for a time before they surge to vibrant life once more.
Falvicar says, speaking to Dendum, "That's what I just said."
Roelon deeply asks, "To the town hall perhaps?"
TALLIVER nods at Randsford.
Aliashyrah stands up.
Heavy gusts of wind cause the area to be blinded in white snow.
Loralaii joins TALLIVER's group.
TALLIVER says, "Anyone who wishes to participate, please join us in the Council Chambers in Clovertooth Hall."
