Walnut bookshelves fill every wall making this narrow shop with a low ceiling a bit claustrophobic. Though carpeted, the floor creaks and groans with every step. Between two of the bookcases, a side door opens out to an open-air scrapyard. A little more exploration reveals an almost hidden set of stairs that leads up to another space above. A large casement window offers a view of the street outside next to the salon's threshold.

On the walnut bookshelves you see: a dog-eared booklet of brawling weapon patterns, a lacquered wood portfolio of polearm weapon patterns, an ora-inlaid tome of two-handed weapon patterns, a steel-edged binder of blunt weapon patterns, and a white leather encyclopedia of edged weapon patterns.

Ironmonger's Smithy, Office
[Ironmonger's Smithy, Office - 8084382]
|
|
This windowless office is cloaked in shadow except for a bright candle on a chest-high desk in the center of the room. Illuminated by the golden flame, a nearby stand lays bare the interior of a thick tome. Barely discernible cabinets stand around the desk, their presence hinted at by the flicker of the candle's flame. A shadow of the desk wavers on the carpeted floor from the dancing candlelight. Almost invisible in the darkness, a set of stairs offers a way down. You also see the Ironmonger's scribe.

Tier 1 can hold 4 and 4.
Tier 2 can hold 5 and 5.
The scribe is a bodach, slender in frame and long in the face. A bowl of dark hair caps his narrow head. His eyelids are heavy and his lower lip juts out a bit under his long nose. He wears a brown linen robe and leans against a wooden stool as he works.
On the chest-high desk you see: a page, a sheet, and a candle.
On the stand you see: a thick tome.
Ironmonger's Smith, Scrapyard
[Ironmonger's Smith, Scrapyard - 8084383]
|
|
Several giantman-tall piles of discarded weapons and armor construct a hazardous maze within this open-air scrapyard. A forge smolders away along the edge of the soot-stained red bricks of the adjoined smithy within arm's reach of an anvil accompanied by a tempering trough and grinder. Assorted tools hang from a rafter set above the anvil. A side door leads into the towering two-story building on the yard's eastern side. You also see a tattooed korrigan blacksmith and a fancy jack-o-lantern.

a tattooed korrigan blacksmith
Beads of sweat and blue-lined tattoos cover the bald head of this korrigan blacksmith. Multiple gold earrings hang from each of his ears, as well as one from his septum above a thick mustache and beard that conceals his mouth. His sleeveless tunic is tucked into a furry belt from which hang an ample leather toolkit and leather apron. His black pants are tucked into metal-shaving-covered boots. He stands at the anvil holding an invar forging-hammer etched with an angry skull.
> ask blacksmith about job
A tattooed korrigan blacksmith grunts as he works, "Forgin' fer the Ironmonger. What else I got ta do until oblivion comes fer me?"
> ask blacksmith about ironmonger
A tattooed korrigan blacksmith grunts as he works, "Ain't my business what he does, long as I get ta forge."
> ask blacksmith about naidem
A tattooed korrigan blacksmith grunts as he works, "There be worse places ta spend eternity."
