Several marble shelves flanked by a pair of copper hooks hang from the rough-hewn stone walls of the cottage. A small window is set between them, its surface draped with ivy growing outside and partly visible through the glass. Wood blocks carved with detailed flowers frame a low stone archway draped with a thick covering of blue velvet. Wrought-iron sconces are mounted around the room, each fitted with a beeswax candle.
