[Ebon Gate] Eternal Weddings
This year has been exceedingly busy and packed. Unfortunately, that means that we need to postpone an item every now and again. It is with regret that I announce that Eternal Weddings is going to be delayed.
However, we will release the Naidem Wedding Glade and will also place all previous wedding packages on sale. This includes all tiers of the Chapel, Cathedral, and Wavedancer wedding package, all verbs add slips, and annulments.
While we realize that this is a disappointment for many, we hope that you will understand that we want everything to be as clean as possible, and it would simply be impossible to guarantee that at this time.
We hope to release the Eternal Wedding package in the near future and will allow its purchase outside of Ebon Gate, though we don't have an exact date at this time.
Thank you for your understanding.
Announcement 4 - Return of the Trove
Discord Message Link: Return of the Trove
Author: GM Thandiwe
Date: 09/18/2023
Return of the Trove
This year, the Treasure Trove will be returning but with a somewhat new look.
Here are the changes:
- You need a service pass to get into Gravelsdown Hall.
- The Attendant will now sell trove tokens for 100,000 silvers.
- Each token is worth a single entry into one of the troves.
- You may only use one token per drawing per trove.
- Each trove in Gravelsdown Hall will draw once a day.
- Gravelsdown Hall will have FOUR troves running.
Here is what is staying the same:
- You will still have 24-hours to claim your win.
- The trove will still display 4 preview items, while one is being raffled.
- All items put in the trove will go out.
What will be in the Trove this year?
- Delayed Service items that would normally be seen in raffles will go through the Trove.
- One room will be dedicated to Treasure items.
We are still finalizing our lists and treasures, but we will provide a list for everyone so that they are aware.
Lastly, A Roof Over is getting a second room with a trove in it. We will be offering Private Property items that are rare there in this particular trove. If you do not have a Private Property that qualifies, you can not get in. These offerings include the following:
- Mail Boxes
- Room Add
- Workshop
- Shrine
- And a few other items.
Due to the nature of these items, MCP properties do not qualify.
Delayed Services in the Trove:
- All delayed services will be tied to a token that is placed in the Trove.
- While the token will be listed in DELAYED, it does not list who is getting the service until they REDEEM the token.
- This means that the winner does not have to be the redeemer.
Announcement 5 - General Pricing Adjustments
Discord Message Link: General Pricing Adjustments
Author: GM Thandiwe
Date: 09/20/2023
For example, dyes used to cost a different price at Rings of Lumnis, Rumor Woods, Duskruin, and Ebon Gate. With Rumor Woods, we matched up the pricing so that things were more in-line and there was less guess work.
We will be going through and doing the same thing with Ebon Gate.
Those items that are consumable and have charges will be increased to the fee set at Rumor Woods and Duskruin.
One other thing that I wanted to talk about is all of the “-inators.” These items hold typically between 24-30 unique items that can stack unlimitedly and are weightless. I’ve been underselling their value and under-evaluating their price for what they do. As a result, all “-inators” at all events will be increased to a flat 1,000 (event currency). Those that have unlocks will not see an increase in their unlock certificates.
I realize that many of you may have some reactions that are strong to this information. However, I ask that you please be patient. Nothing will be raised to gouging levels and will still be reasonably priced. Some things just need an uptick.

Ebon Gate Storyline Beat The Vistix welcomed guests to his manor in the Winterbriar neighborhood. Prowling the edges of the gathered crowd, his interests drifted to various ladies before being transfixed by the daughter of Nightfire Brews' proprietress. Dancing and flittering, the pair moved about the dance floor with his attention only being stolen away briefly by a Nalfein, who was promised to be looked up later. The pair disappeared into the manor to have quiet discussions away from the crowd.
Who is the Vistix? Tasthera, the proprietress of Nightfire Brews, claims he's a wealthy lord. Samyrha, the proprietress youngest daughter, says that he's not been seen since her Unlife. This was confirmed by her mother. What is a Vistix? Rumors circulate. Is this the Naidem equivalent to Viscount? He has lots of money, but from doing what? Where has he been? Perhaps there a clues in his open manor.
Look at everything.
Listen to everything.
And join us for, the Vistix's Last Bride....
Be on the lookout for:
- Vistix Akrath
- Tasthara - Proprietress of Nightfire Brews
- Samyrha - younger daughter of Tasthera
- Yraelia - eldest daughter of Tasthera

Announcement 15 - Naidem Foraged Item Update
Discord Message Link: Forage Updates
Author: GM Thandiwe
Date: 10/27/2023
Naidem Foraged Items Update I understand that the concerns have been varied regarding how many rooms a foraged item can be found, however, since there aren't bounties in Naidem and it is a temporary area, I don't feel the need to make every plant findable in 100 rooms. Those plants that can be found in 22 rooms are fine and it's more than enough. However, I do understand that the plants that were inadvertently limited to under 10 rooms is a concern. As such, I've made the following updates: • Pale Green Gingko Leaf – Added climate cold/dry & terrain cultivated • Yellow-cored White Feverfew Bloom – Added climate cold/damp & terrain grassland • Capitulum of Reddish Black Direbloom – added climate cold/damp & terrain cultivated • Tendril of Saffron Ginger Root – added climate cold/dry and terrain cultivated • Soft Yellow Sorrel Sprig – added climate add climate cold/damp and terrain cultivated • Strip of White Willow Bark – added climate cold/damp • Bloom of Orange-Yellow Chamomile – added climate cold/dry and terrain cultivated • Sprig of Downy Skullcap – added climate cold/damp and terrain cultivated • Purple-irised White Mullein Blossom – added climate cold/damp and terrain grasslands • Stalk of Pineapple Sage – added climate cold/dry and terrain cultivated
The rest had 22 rooms, but I did add cold/dry or cold/damp as I deemed appropriate. Other changes that went into effect as of tonight: • Clump of Winterbriar Moss – This should work exactly like Yabathilium Fruit now. • Some Chartreuse Bittermere Lichen – This should work as Pothinir Grass now. • There isn't a Talneo equivalent in Naidem
Those healing herbs whose equivalents could be bundled should now be able to be bundled. The notable one that won't be is Winterbriar Moss. None of its equivalents do and the way bundling is coded specifically prevents it from bundling.
Nine New Foraged Items Now that our storyline is ended, please feel free to search the following areas for new foraged items. They are relatively scattered, but for clarity, you can find at least one of them in the following areas: • Evermore Hollow Inner Ring Road • Evermore Hollow Outer Ring Road • Moorlyn • Winterbriar • Vigil's End • Fate's Holding • Ember Ridge Orchard • Bittermere Woods • Innocent's End
Let me repeat, you can definitely find at least ONE of the new items in each of the above sections, but you MAY be able to find more in multiple areas.
These new foraged items have fun little zests that you can do and are named Naidem Blooms.

Discord Message Link: Eyes of the Arkati
Author: GM Thandiwe
Date: 09/16/2023
You analyze your flimsy violet disks and sense that the creator has provided the following information:
Eyes of the Arkati
These disks are designed to be worn over the eyes, where they will safely hide from view. However, while worn they will, every 8 - 12 hours, provide a random vision. They can also help you slip into a trance, and you can even trigger a vision on your own.
GAZE: Trigger a Minor Vision
STARE: Triggers a Major Vision once every hour.
WHISPER disks START: Causes you to slip into a trance.
WHISPER disks STOP: Causes you to come out of a trance.
Additional verbs can be used to do special messaging while in a trance.
Verbs: Blanch, Breathe, Cry, Gaze, Grin, Laugh, Point, Stare, Whisper
The disks are Tier 2 out of 2.
Since the disks do not appear, even when manipulating them with the above verbs, there aren't any customizations available for them. However, you can change the deity or energy they are aligned to.
Attunement: Zelia
> wear disk
Opening your eyes terribly wide, you carefully fit the flimsy violet disks over your irises and then blink several times while they settle into place. A milky film spreads across your vision for a brief moment but slowly seeps away, and your vision returns to normal.
>whisper my disk start
You silently slip into a deep trance, your body stilling and your breath slowing.
> look PERSON
You see Person.
She appears to be an Aelotoi.
She is very short and has a petite frame. She appears to be very young. She has starburst-striated winter grey eyes and freckle-dusted skin. She has long, wavy coppery red hair drawn back by multiple knitted hairties, exposing a clean-shaven scalp on either side. She has a pert nose. Her lengthy nails are brushed with gradated gold polish patterned in green jade chevron. She has a pair of russet-painted wings.
Her features appear slack, her eyes covered in a milky white film as she stares transfixed at something in the distance.
(The above is NOT a temporary feature.)
While under the effect of a trance, you provide ambient messaging about being in the trance. It fires every 20 seconds. It reminds you how to get out of the trance, though others do not see that information.
You are still under the effect of your most recent trance. To exit the trance, WHISPER disks STOP.
You distantly feel the flutter of your lashes against your cheek, though you know your eyes remain wide and unseeing. Your limbs remain heavy from the deep trance you find yourself in.
You also have access to a series of verbs while in the trance. For example:
>blanch disk
A fleeting ripple of fear grips you, momentarily causing the blood to drain from your face before the lassitude of your trance reclaims your emotionless state.
>grin disk
A smile slowly builds upon your face as your eyes grow distant and you fall into a deep trance.
>whisper disk stop
Slowly, you feel yourself returning to your body, and you feel a prickling of pins and needles upon your limp limbs. You blink several times and feel as if you are struggling through thick layers of cobwebs before your vision finally returns to normal.
While under the effects of a trance, you can not cast or attack or eat or a number of other minor things.
Minor Visions
There are ten sets of minor visions that have over 900 possible combinations. I utilized the TATTOO table to build the combinations. An example of a minor vision, which is available at Tier 1, is:
If NOT in a trance, this is what you may see:
>gaze my disk
Focusing upon Zelia, you gaze through the disks in your eyes, and the image of <something> appears before you.
If IN a trance, this is what you may see:
You gaze about without any true recognition of where you are as the heavy malaise of your trance causes your features to remain slack and your limbs to feel heavy. After a time, your vision changes...
Music fills the air, the sound of a party drifting to you as you gaze out upon the balcony onto a sprawling city that is in the throes of a celebration. Just as you turn to head inside, the sound of fireworks explodes behind you, and you glance up to see <item> burst across the sky in a colorful pageantry of light.
Some visions have more than one random component.
You may trigger a minor trance anytime that you desire.
Major Visions
Major visions come in sets of 15 and are much larger visions. They provide a location and can have as many as 7 random components. They are limited to one per hour.
An example of what you might see is:
Concentrating on your connection to Zelia, you stare through the flimsy violet disks that cover your eyes, causing a vision to blossom to life before you...
As your vision clears, you find yourself on your hands and knees, crawling through the hot desert. Parched and exhausted, you contemplate giving up, your swollen tongue filled with sand and the taste of blood from your cracked lips. Each movement causes your sunburned muscles to scream in protest as you continue to crawl through the sand.
Time has no meaning, the endless hours stretching before you as heat causes the air around you to waver. You find yourself staring at something green beneath your fingers and glance up numbly to see you've stumbled upon an oasis. Hope fills your body with adrenaline, and you surge to the edge of a pool, nearly choking as you suck water into your body.
Sated, you roll to your back to find <random animal> beside you and stumble back, accidentally putting your hand through an old skull where <random creature> has made its home.
Lastly, upon wearing the disks a random timer goes on you. Once the timer is up, a RANDOM vision takes place. There is a 33% chance it will be a major vision, otherwise, it will be a minor vision.
QA
- Major Visions
- 15 Location Settings that you will see

Teadragon pets are coming to Elanith and debuting at Ebon Gate! We will have a few methods of obtaining one, so I'm going to hit those highlights, and then in the comments share more.
Methods to Obtain
Guaranteed: Buy at the pet shop for 250,000 soul shards. These will all initially look exactly alike, and they will all always be a "common" teadragon.
Luck!: there will be an initial "bargain raffle" for 2 winners, followed by 1 set of spins for soul shards, followed by 1 set of spins for silvers. Dates/times are to be deterimined, and they will be announced, but that is the order (so even if I split it across several days...the bargain raffle is first).

Raffle/Spin Rules & Info
Must be present and awake to win
Must bind the teadragon to you upon receipt
If not all teadragons go out during these offerings, it will be up to me what I do with them, if anything. I might hold on to them, randomly distribute via other means, etc.
Prime: 2 via bargain raffle, 10 via soul shard spins, 10 via silver spins. Plat: 1, 3, and 3.
Ones released this way will be allowed to randomize at creation. Common type will still be the most common, but you have chances for albino, crested, jade, polychromatic, qakoni, shidaran, and summer also.

The chestworn items can be unlocked for additional verb-y goodness. Verbs change depending on the attachment.
Example: TILT No attachment - You smooth the surface of your dark moire silk shirt before executing a slow, stately bow.
Pauldron - You bring your closed fist across your chest, tapping your moth-painted satin pauldron once as you bow. You rise, placing your now open hand across your dark moire silk shirt with an inviting smile.
Cravat - You formally bow low at the waist, your hand grazing your moth-painted satin cravat as you return upright. You brush your palm downwards, subtly adjusting your dark moire silk shirt as your arms fall back to your sides.
Half-Cape - You sweep one arm behind your back as you bow, the moth-painted satin of your half-cape briefly obscuring your dark moire silk shirt. As you rise, you swiftly brush your hand against your opposite shoulder to readjust the drape.

Who wants to be a chef?! If that's you, then this might be your shop. Build your own creations with flavors and tastes completely unique to the dish you create!
What do I mean, you ask? Well... let me show you!
>tap pan You tap the frying pan placed alongside you.
>l in pan In the frying pan you see some butter, a red tomato and a bear shank.
Frying pans have smoke styles, cooking styles, and finishing styles. These affect both the cooking messaging and the final product.
Here's the final product of the above dish:
a portion of grilled bear shank garnished with tomatoes and butter
Here's the (random) taste messaging for it:
Basted lightly with natural juices, the grilled approach to the shank's preparation accentuates the dominant sweet flavor, giving way to the more inconspicuous taste of the butter. Balanced between butter and tomatoes, a bear shank embraces the delightful tastes of both, spilling flavorful teases into each bite.
There is a lot of taste messages based on # of and type of ingredients. Raw fish, creature shanks (unlock), and creature organs (unlock) are primary items. Most vegetable/fruit forageables will also work as primary items. Most edible forageables, grocery items, and Finishing Touch items will work as secondary/tertiary items.
Note that the above example is a fully unlocked frying pan that allows for up to three ingredients and has the creature shank unlock. Off the shelf utensils can accept one primary ingredient of either fish or fruit/vegetables. The latter can be foraged items, OR they can be... cooking ingredients grown in the Magic Pots that are also sold in this shop.

Unbeknownst to the living world, this metal was reappearing in Naidem. For the last two years, skilled residents have been gathering it, studying it, and perfecting it. While still volatile, especially in its unworked form, rusalkoren is ready to be shown to the visitors and infiltrators of Naidem that appear during the month of Jastatos.
Featuring misty-like swirls of azure across an inky black surface, this metal is suitable for weapons and armor, but it can and will lash out at its wielder unless it tames the spirit within.
These same skilled (and deceased) artisans have also managed to meld this volatile metal with leather. Using an ancient technique once thought lost to time, the metal is heated until it is at its purest liquid form then infused into salt water-softened leather before being crafted into whatever armor is needed. This new material, a hybrid of rusalkoren and leather, has been named rusalkysk.
Weavers, not to be left out, worked hard with alchemists, forgers, and mages to pull rusalkoren into a thin, threaded material able to be woven into protective robes. They call their creation rusalkita. And for those who wish merely to enjoy the beautiful look of the azure-swirled, tenebrous material, they crafted rusylka -- a silk-like material without any special (or terrifying) properties and is suitable for clothing. Rusylka cannot hold a dye, but the beauty of it is in its natural coloring, mist-like swirls of azure across inky blank just like rusalkoren.
Rusalkan armaments have an innate chance to flare when attacking or struck in combat. When it triggers, a wave of sea water appears in the area and attempts (SMR, with a bonus in watery environments) to knock down up to 3 targets (1d3). If successful, the rusalkan user receives the Brine of the Rusalka buff, which boosts their Attack Strength and Casting Strength for 10 seconds and grants a 1 second haste effect for physical and casting actions. The magnitude of the +attack effect is +10 AS/+6 CS per target and can reactive flare on misses, including EBP and spell casts. There is a 30 second cooldown, titled Salty, that is also applied when the buff is applied. It has a material difficulty of 200.
>attack rat You swing a rusalkoren dagger at a small black rat! AS: +546 vs DS: +309 with AvD: -18 + d100 roll: +48 = +267 ... and hit for 14 points of damage! You gesture at a silver-strung stained glass bauble.
You concentrate on the stained glass bauble as you cast your consciousness out into the ether in search of a specific type of familiar.
Shimmers of light suddenly warp the air, winking in and out of existence for several moments as an ethereal form begins to take shape. Wispy tendrils of energy coalesce into the violet, teal, and coral structure of a wispy aurora phantasm.
Look Phantasm
Flashes of violet, teal, and coral light wink in and out of existence within the ethereal form of a wispy aurora phantasm. Something that resembles limbs or appendages undulates as if blown in a light breeze, though they shrink, lengthen, and utterly disappear at odd intervals. Skeins of shadow seem to consistently drift away from his form, their edges wispy like the threads of cirrus clouds. The phantasm appears to be a magnificent specimen of his kind. A barely perceptible aura encompasses him and a distinct look of intelligence fills his glittering eyes.
Ambients
Transitioning to liquid form, the phantasm stretches out upon the ground to create a reflective pool filled with starlight and twilight-hued nebulas. Slowly, the lights wink out one by one, leaving only the nebulas, and, in time, even they fade. Eventually, he returns to his natural state.
Silent as the grave, a wispy aurora phantasm hovers in place.
The lights within a wispy aurora phantasm's form flutter and wink in and out of existence for several seconds.
Undulating in place, the phantasm suddenly and spastically explodes into a brilliant array of twilight hues that rain down on the area before forming a puddle on the ground.
Reshaping himself into a columnar pillar of light, the phantasm spirals around the area for several seconds before returning to its amorphous form.
Twilight-hues light passes through a wispy aurora phantasm, causing motes within him to suddenly flare with brilliant colors. (this is different depending on being in Naidem or not and time of day)
Emotes

Rising a slow spiral, a wispy aurora phantasm slips through the air as if he were water and glides in a circle around Secondperson. Stilling over her right shoulder, the phantasm suddenly transforms into an ethereal facsimile of her. Grinning, he winks at Secondperson and then returns to his natural state.
>tell familiar emote bow secondperson
Reshaping himself to look like you, a wispy aurora phantasm bows with a distracted air at Secondperson.
>tell familiar emote stare

Glance
You glance down to see an azure-webbed glowbark talisman in your right hand and nothing in your left hand.
Look talisman
Independent of the luminous grooves natural to the glowbark's grooves, etchings spiral and wend across the talisman's surface in obscure patterns that eventually coalesce into a rough semblance of a puppet's figure.
cast talisman
You concentrate on the glowbark talisman as you cast your consciousness out into the ether in search of a specific type of familiar.
A current of air whips by, drawing into its coil dust and detritus, tiny bits of this and that, and as the miniature cyclone darkens with its collection of odds and ends, azure-hued motes of cool light begin to manifest at its core. The solid components condense, taking the shape of an azure-webbed glowbark puppet, which unceremoniously collapses into a clattering heap on the ground as the current of air departs.
Ambients
In an abrupt and mildly disturbing display, the puppet bends over backward, balancing on his hands and feet, and crab walks in a rudimentary figure eight through several circuits before standing straight again.
An azure-webbed glowbark puppet bounces on his feet, allowing his loose limbs to clack noisily in a disconcerting staccato rhythm.
A small, buzzing fly catches the attention of the puppet as it flits back and forth through the area, and you can hear the dull clacking of the puppet's hands slapping together as he attempts to squash the fly. After several failed attempts, the fly's buzzing suddenly stops, and the occurrence is accompanied by a duller, wetter clapping of the puppet's hands.
In a display of apparent boredom, the puppet wrenches his head from his body and begins tossing it up into the air only to catch it again afterward. The lonely game of catch lasts but a few throws before the puppet reattaches its head.
Fidgeting and squirming, the puppet yanks one of his arms off from the ball socket and flings the disembodied appendage over his shoulder to scratch at his wooden back. His entire body seems to relax after a moment, and he nonchalantly pops his arm back into place.
look puppet
With the form of an artist's manikin, this glowbark puppet is composed of nearly featureless parts -- a blank face, an uncontoured torso and pelvis, long limbs, and simple ball joints. The wood is poorly worked, and the puppet's wires have been cut short and twisted, leaving sharp barbs protruding from his hands and shoulders, legs and feet, and from the top of his head. The puppet appears to be a magnificent specimen of his kind. A barely perceptible aura encompasses him and a distinct look of intelligence fills his glittering eyes.
tell familiar emote stare casil
An azure-webbed glowbark puppet suddenly swivels his head in a complete circle to gaze back at Casil before he props his blocky hands on his near nonexistent hips and leans backward to challenge him with his stare.
tell familiar emote point casil
Rising in a slow spiral, an azure-webbed glowbark puppet slips through the air as if he were water and glides in a circle around Casil. Stilling over his right shoulder, the puppet suddenly transforms into an ethereal facsimile of him. Grinning, he winks at Casil and then returns to his natural state.
tell familiar emote bow casil
Independent of his body, the puppet's eyeless head swivels around to fix his attention on you. In a macabre display of inhumanly bent arms and bowed, loose-jointed legs, the puppet lopes over to you and bows, backward, eyeless face still focused on you, toes facing forward with the rest of his body.
tell familiar emote gaze
The puppet's attention fixes on something in the distance, and his head cants severely to one side, nearly laying cheek to shoulder, as he stares as if in bewilderment.
tell familiar emote lay
Abruptly collapsing into a heap, an azure-webbed glowbark puppet squirms and fidgets about until he is laying on his back, board straight, as he crosses his arms over his chest, corpse-style.
get puppet
You glance askance at an azure-webbed glowbark puppet, and his featureless face cants up to you. After a silent and still moment, he begins to move, and somehow, those movements betray a sense of both disdain and resentment as he clatters closer to you so that you can more easily pick him up.
drop puppet
As you deposit the puppet on his blocky feet, he stumbles, only to quickly swivel his body around at the neck to deliver a vindictive kick to your shin at his dissatisfactory placement.
rub puppet
You reach out and caress a single fingertip over the smooth wooden head of the puppet, and he flinches away from your touch, giving a full body flail, his arms wildly whipping about as he swats at your finger with blocky hands.

Who wants to weave bracelets and necklaces out of flowers and foliage when you can use teeth instead? A new item debuting at the shop "Tooth and Claw" will let you do just that by letting you harvest various types of Weaveable teeth from different creatures around Elanthia.
Introducing the "toothkey" (AKA "pelican"). This metal instrument includes a "claw" that gets hooked around the interior side of a chosen tooth and then winched tightly against a "bolster" that rests against the opposite side as a fulcrum. A quick twist of the item's handle and, with only limited amounts of blood and discomfort, you can extract Weaveable teeth from specific types of dead creatures.
Players have teeth, as well, you say? Unlock your toothkey with a provided certificate and you can extract a tooth from another player (with CONSENT) 1x a day.
If you're just interested in doing extra fluffy actions that let you roleplay investigating another player's teeth (or even just investigating a dead creature's teeth), there is another certificate that will let you unlock some more actions.

Quick Facts (Creatures)
- OTS toothkeys can extract Weaveable teeth from dead creatures.
- Each creature can be extracted from once and each extraction yields a bundle of two (2) Weaveable teeth.
- If fluff actions are unlocked, you can perform a roleplayed dental exam on the dead creature's mouth/teeth.
- Creatures can have up to four (4) types of teeth, but each creature may not have all types: tooth, canine tooth (or fang), incisor, and molar (or carnassial).
- Teeth from different creatures may look different with a plethora of descriptors available.
- You can toggle whether the creature's name shows in the created tooth with PUSH.
- Currently there are 79 valid creatures around Elanthia that can have their teeth extracted. Valid creatures are animal-like, have bones/teeth, and feasibly have teeth small enough that they would fit on a necklace.
Quick Facts (Players)
- Unlocked toothkeys can extract teeth from another player (with CONSENT) 1x a day.
- OTS and unlocked toothkeys can roleplay a dental exam with another player (with CONSENT) and can do all unlocked fluff actions while investigating inside their mouth.
- Extraction yields one (1) Weaveable tooth.
- Extraction WILL stun and injure the target player.

Market Stalls
Ebon Gate's 2023 run will be introducing a new item: Market Stalls! Available in the store Market Makers, these stalls allow for ambitious adventurers to set up temporary stalls that last for up to 4 hours. Don't want to wait around for 4 hours while people give you their hard earned silvers? Good news! Each one comes with its own customizable shopkeeping spirit to tend to the stall while you venture throughout the lands in search of treasure or a good deal.
Market Stalls utilize the All Mine system and will stay in a room for up to four hours when PLACEd before falling apart and becoming susceptible to the janitor or other players. During this time, owners may place items for sale and customers can browse, inspect, and purchase those items. The shopkeeper will handle all of the necessary arrangements for payment and stock keeping, though they'll expect a small cut of the proceeds for their service. Even a spirit has living expenses. Well, expenses, anyway.
The Market Maker comes OTS at Tier 1 and can be upgraded to Tier 5. Upgrades allow the stall to stand for longer, hold more silvers, reduce the shopkeeper's cut, and have more items available for sale. In addition, the shop sells certificates to alter the shopkeeper's personalities between kind, snooty, and sleazy.
What can the stalls do at each tier?
Tier 1: The stall can stand for 1 hour, hold 5 items and 100k silvers, and the shopkeeper takes a 20% cut.
Tier 2: The stall can stand for 2 hours, hold 10 items and 200k silvers, and the shopkeeper takes a 15% cut.
Tier 3: The stall can stand for 3 hours, hold 10 unique items that can stack up to 5 times (50 items total) and 300k silver, and the shopkeeper takes a 10% cut.
Tier 4: The stall can stand for 4 hours, hold 10 unique items that can stack up to 10 times (100 items total) and 400k silver, and the shopkeeper takes a 5% cut.
Tier 5: The stall can stand for 4 hours (refreshable), hold 10 unique items that can stack up to 10 times (100 items total) and 1m silvers, and the shopkeeper takes no cut.
Where can I set these stalls up?
Stalls may only be set up in rooms that are in town and not noded.
Stalls use the All Mine system? What does that mean?
The All Mine system allows a player to PLACE items on the ground that can then only be picked up by themselves (via PLACE). After being placed, the stalls will last for 1-4 hours before they collapse and become subject to both the janitor and other players. Players will receive an alert when that happens.
As a perk of the All Mine system, Private Property owners may set up their stalls indefinitely.
What happens if the janitor sweeps up my item or another player takes it?
If the janitor takes the item, you'll be able to recover it at the local Adventurer's Guild. Stalls picked up by other players will need to be tracked down. However, items stored within the stall can only be withdrawn by the original owner in order to reduce the chance of item loss.
How much do these cost?
Stalls (OTS, Tier 1) cost 2,500 soulshards each.
Upgrade certificates for Tiers 2-5 cost 2,500 soulshards each.
Personality change certificates (kind, snooty, sleazy) cost 500 soulshards each.
Are there limits to what the stalls can hold?
The stalls are meant to hold relatively simplistic items similar to the Bag of Holding from Duskruin. If the item is too complex, the stall will let you know.
What customizations are available?
Market stalls operate in two modes: crate (for picking up) and stall (for selling items). Both modes (sides?) can have their 15/15/15, long, and show altered. They may also have their shopkeeper customized (a fire spirit, a surly shopkeeper, etc.). The shopkeeper customization is considered a rare service only to be performed at Naidem (where else you going to hire them?). There are a few restrictions on the noun of the stall and crate but, beyond that, they're fully alterable.
Do the stalls accept notes?
Yes! The shopkeeper is happy to accept silvers and notes for purchases.
Who do we thank for this wonderful item?
Big thanks to GMs Thandiwe, Haliste, Isten, and Vanah for helping this project along and providing amazing insights! (edited)

There will be a few new Naidem materials on offer in the Antiquarian Manor this time around. We will have better-defined lore for you soon. There will also be some new foraged items for you to discover.
For the moment, though I wanted to share with you the additions to the alter fodder available in this shop.
- a bolt of undyed mervaer
- a bolt of pure white saenira
- a thumb-sized piece of starveil
- a spheroid of lotus ruby
- a lustrous celestial pearl
- a nodule of snow jade
- a bolt of airy auroralaen (lore forthcoming)
- a bolt of river naiquard (lore forthcoming)
- a bolt of orchard naiquard (lore forthcoming)
- a bolt of sunrise naiquard (lore forthcoming)
- a bolt of sunset naiquard (lore forthcoming)
- a bolt of pristine ataela (has a not that cloudsilk is allowed)
- a bolt of undyed qiviut
- a bolt of azure-whirled rusylka
- a bolt of shadowy forest silk (has a note that wyrsilk and shadowsilk are allowed)
- a branch of colorful merrywood
- a painted Charl's-scale limpet
- a delicate zelfyr bead
Auroralaen is the memory of silk and chainsil, since the people of Naidem remember their life and try to form it, it kind of became twisted by the communal memory. This fabric ends up being painted with the designs of the Naidem sky, which is an aurora borealis-like sky. It can't be dyed.
The last one is naiquard, it is the combined memory of organza and silk jacquard. However, unlike auroralaen, it has different weavers in different areas. There are four popular ones. Sunset naiquard, sunrise naiquard, orchard naiquard, and river naiquard. Each has a restriction on how the fabric should appear and we'll have alter fodder for them.

There's a new shop at Naidem this year, called The Glass House. It sells a new little bauble unique to Naidem, called sirenglass.
It helps you show off your runestaff... just about any runestaff.
>tap my runestaff
You tap the tip of your glowbark runestaff on the ground.
>wave my runestaff
You wave your glowbark runestaff around.
>glance
You glance down to see a glowbark runestaff in your right hand and a gold-flecked swirl of sirenglass in your left hand.
Sirenglass in action:
>wear my sirenglass
You put on a gold-flecked swirl of sirenglass.
>tap my sirenglass
You loudly rap your glowbark runestaff on the ground, indicating your agreement.
>wave my sirenglass
You theatrically sweep your glowbark runestaff before you with a dramatic air of foreboding.
It also changes with your moods...
>demeanor warm
You love the world and the world loves you!
>tap my sirenglass
Your face brightens as you tap your glowbark runestaff on the ground in agreement.
>wave my sirenglass
You strike a martial pose as you boldly sweep your glowbark runestaff before you!
>demeanor neutral
You decide to take things as they come.
>raise my sirenglass
You straighten yourself as you raise your glowbark runestaff boldly.
Do have fun discovering the rest...
