A massive fireball was glimpsed above the treetops, and Kiyonna reached out on ESP to ask people to rush to the aid of the Ir- family. She guided people to the shortcut that had been used previously, which had to be searched out. Once players arrived, they found a clearing in the jungle which had been burnt to a husk. Several huts ringed the area, but all were reduced to rubble save for one, which was barely standing. It was clearly total devastation, with no survivors.

Kiyonna confirmed through ESP that the coast was clear, and then made her way in. There were a number of clues in the area, each of which had to be searched out, but Kiyonna explained that it was clearly the work of a Circle. She explained that the Ir- family were the sentries, and this was their post. They guarded that which must remain hidden, and very likely died in that effort, at the hands of the Circle.

Kiyonna answered some questions, explaining that there is always a Center of the Circle, and that person is the leader. She also made clear that the Hounds are just 'people', though ones clad in foul-smelling and decaying animal pelts, who hunt at the behest of the Circle with a single-minded madness. She described the garb of the Circle (a crimson robe with flame-styled sleeves and their emblem on the chest), but made clear that the Circle operated as cowards, never letting themselves be seen if they could help it. She also related that the Iyo suspect that the Center is operating from Mist Harbor, though she did not offer any reasons for this belief.

Kiyonna left the group to go and report to the heads of the Families, assuring the players that more Iyo would be sent to take up the post. She assured everyone as well that the Circle had not found what it is that the Iyo keep hidden, for if they had, the Isle would already be no more. She asked that any who note anything related to the Circle, or the Center, please send her or Zofiya a letter. The Center must be stopped, the Circle broken, before it's the end for the entire Isle.
