Meadow of the Firefly (a cerulean firefly trinket)

Your vision blurs as night descends upon you and thousands of fireflies swirl before your eyes...

Thick blades of viridian grass sway in an unseen breeze, the soft rustling of the verdant leaves as they rub against each other filling the air. Moonlight illuminates the landscape with its silvery hues and paints the aster blossoms that bloom nearby in grey tones. Thousands of fireflies wink in and out of existence as they court one another amongst the flowers and between the blades of grass.

Your vision blurs as thousands of fireflies dance before you...

The Watery Cavern (a tiny mineral deposit trinket)

The acrid scent of saltwater and rot fills your senses as your vision momentarily blurs...

Indigo light filters into the cavern from some far away source, its bluish hues reflecting off stalactites that descend from the ceiling. Small, stagnant pools dot the rough, irregular ground and house tiny sparkling crystals and pool spars. The sound of dripping water fills the air and is sporadically overpowered by the sound of the tide rushing into the cavern from somewhere far off.

The rushing sound of wind funneling through a tunnel assaults your senses as your vision blurs...

The Deluged Bluefin (a blue monkey's paw trinket)

The sound of water being sucked out of a large area fills your ears as your surrounding shifts and the world around you blurs...

Encased in a bubble of air, the room appears to be the waterlogged remains of a restaurant's bar. Water drips from the once polished fixtures, while seaweed clings to a marble floor that is similar in color to the oily fronds. Though no seats remain around the bar, which is crafted of an aquarium that long ago lost all of its denizens, a silver-edged green glass door still bears its bluefin design.

The air bubble encasing the room suddenly begins to disintegrate and as a surge of water rushes towards you, your surroundings blur...

Crown of the Redwood (a tiny redwood trinket)

Prismatic light trickles across your vision for a brief moment as your world shifts and blurs...

Six ropy tree limbs spread out from the center of a redwood tree to create a bowl that is several dozen feet wide and deep. Smooth bark, warm and dry from the sun, bears the intricately carved patterns of tiny birds, rodents, and felines, while a thick blanket of soft, feathery golden moss settles on the ground. High above, the sunlight trickles through broad leaves which dance under an unseen zephyr. The light scent of apple blossoms fills the air.

The Hunter's Retreat (a tiny elk antler trinket)

The smoky, welcoming scent of a fire rises on the air around you as your vision blurs...

Warm and inviting, a cozy fire burns within a fireplace that is capped with a bird's eye maple mantle. Knotty pine walls and floors encase the room, the latter of which is decorated with hunting trophies and mounted horns. Thick bear and wooly mammoth pelts spread across the ground and provide plush comfort for visitors and denizens alike. The soft howl of wind trickles in from outside, but the sturdy walls and warm fire keep the chill at bay.

The fire suddenly flares, and you are momentarily blinded as your surroundings blur...

Secluded Beach (a crested jay trinket)

A sudden warm breeze encircles you, the sand within it obscuring your vision as the world around you shifts...

Nestled on three sides by vine-covered shale walls, the secluded area is filled with a fine white sand that descends into the green-blue of a gently lapping ocean. Water-smoothed stones dot the horizon which is painted in bright blues and soft indigos, while a light zephyr tugs at the vegetation and pulls free the delicate scent of orchids and freesia. From somewhere far off, a curly crested jay warbles its delicate song.

Dazzlingly bright, the sunlight glitters in the sand and your vision is momentarily obscured as the world around you shifts...

The Lofty Tent (a bright green tent-shaped trinket)

Sunlight and a cool autumn breeze drift past you, the ethereal bands filled with dazzling solar sparks and laden with burnished leaves that obscure your vision of the world around you...

Bright green canvas is rolled back from bug-screened windows to provide a dazzling view of autumn-kissed trees and the thick corded straps that hold the small sanctuary aloft. Bird song fills the air with its gentle and dulcet notes, while a light breeze ripples the fabric and cools the sun-streaked air. Pillows and blankets rest upon the soft canvas flooring that springs back into shape as weight is shifted to the various locations of the triangular tent.

Bright green canvas suddenly gives beneath you, and you feel a drop in your stomach as you start to fall. A blur of color eclipses your vision for the briefest of moments...

Lunar Expanse (a feystone-winged dragonfly trinket)

Prismatic lights swirl across your vision, obscuring the world around you...

Painted in greyscale, the lunar expanse is a stark landscape of luminous rock and meteor-pitted terrain. Along the southern edges, the vast void of space darkens the horizon, only to gradually lighten as stars blink into existence in the sky above. Ribbons of violet, azure, and bright white light swirl along the northern horizon where the Dragonfly Constellation, with its twin nebulae, rises to dominance.

Reprieve (a swirling aetherstone trinket)

All sensory perception fades as you feel oblivion envelop your existence...

Wherever this place is seems different at any given moment. Just as one sensation settles firmly, a change of perspective completely rearranges perception and nothing is as it was just before. Despite this relentless shifting, a foundation of serenity soothes the process of transition, and that tranquil constant anchors you in this place.

The sudden rush of your senses returning momentarily disorients you...

Lornon Shrine (a pale-moon trinket)

Your senses are void of all substance, and you begin searching for something familiar...

Grey, lush grass fills the ground beneath your feet. The walls of this shrine are covered with atramentous silk drapery that pools into the grass. Against one wall stands a broken niveous altar, surrounded with comfortable vinaceous pillows. This place is both a momentary place of worship as well as a place of needed rest.

A sense of peace, a sense of home fills you and returns all your senses to you at once...

Adrift (a star-strewn obsidian shard trinket)

Darkness fills your vision as your presence is surrounded by a vast celestial starscape...

The encroaching darkness that extends endlessly in all directions is awash with distant pinpoints of light, some clustered tightly into a variety of shapes and sizes while others hang solitary, their individual luminosity growing and fading to some unknowable rhythm. The modest mass of rock and earth supporting you seems suspended in this vast void without any perceptible support, though it remains firm and solid beneath you.

The vast celestial backdrop collapses upon you in a rush as your surroundings return to a more familiar place...

Mire of Tears (a mossy cypress trinket)

Warm mist rolls over you, carrying the smell of decaying vegetation as it wraps you in near-stifling humidity.

Thick streamers of mist wind through the heavy air and swirl through the trees, distorting your view of the surrounding swamp. The gnarled root of an aged cypress, densely blanketed by vivid green moss, emerges from the murky water and provides a natural perch upon which to sit. Devoid of chirping insects, the shadowed slough is eerily quiet and calm, though you can just barely make out the faint, distant echo of weeping.

As you slog through the darkened mire, it fades into obscurity, and the mists disperse from your vision.
