This log is from the Nations on the Brink storyline on Fashanos 7, 5123, (February 7, 2023). It has been heavily edited to focus on the voyage and the NPCs involved.
Recap
After word of Kasendra's death reaches the west, Jarnsaixa has prepared safe passage for Sayilla to return to Tamzyrr from Vornavis. They board Kimrella's ship, Starseeker, and embark well after sunset. The weather is relatively calm but chilly. Kimrella offers the captain's quarters for Sayilla to rest and warm up in, and Jarnsaixa takes her inside. Sounds can be heard within several minutes later, and Sayilla's death is felt. The crew lets out the cry of man overboard. Kimrella unlocks the quarters and an injured Jarnsaixa is found inside, but no Sayilla. Jarnsaixa says that the old woman healer Grenhal, who had been tending to Baron Malwind and his illness, attacked Sayilla, threw her overboard, and attacked Jarnsaixa as well - with strength and speed far beyond what an old woman is capable of. Jarnsaixa stabbed her before she disappeared, leaving behind a cloak full of empty bottles carrying a suspicious scent and residue. As people use magic to illuminate the waters to try to find Sayilla, a pirate ship attacks. Many board and are killed, but they eventually retreat. One of the pirates is captive but is unable (or unwilling) to share any information. The ship returns to Vornavis, where Kimrella takes the captive pirate off to Vornavis Keep and Jarnsaixa urges others to help her keep searching for Sayilla through the night.

Steward Jarnsaixa's group just entered an iron-reinforced ironwood portcullis. >look [Vornavis, Outer Bailey Avenue] Wide and spacious, the lane to the east is free of buildings to allow the guards on the parapets of the outer bailey walls an unobstructived view of the area, while below them, an iron-reinforced ironwood portcullis provides access to a built-in gatehouse. The nearest building is a three-story orphanage with a gabled roof that is set back from the walls by a distance of thirty or forty paces, its nearest partners sitting across the street are much smaller buildings that are clustered along the edges of a crowded cobblestone avenue that darts deeper into the city. You also see the Aliashyrah disk, the driftwood Nalver disk, the black jade Kothos disk edged with glittering gold, an amber-eyed tawny range wolf, a yellow-eyed silvery lor mandrake, the Alosaka disk, the Khazaann disk, the Sorlu disk, the repousse copper Perigourd disk raised in leafy designs, the web-draped Missoni disk, a lazy wild reddish-black dog, a black-eared red and grey fox, a skeletal ginger cat, a sulky wasteland spirit that is flying around, the Jisandra disk, the Delindra disk, an outgoing forest spirit that is flying around and the hammered silver Meliyara disk. Nalver says, "Archales is waiting outside the gate, but concerned about being let in." Jarnsaixa says, "Yes, if only it was better circumstances." Guarrin moves away from Meril, over to Sayilla, and stands ready to protect her from attack. Speaking in Giantman to Jarnsaixa, Falicor says something you don't understand. Missoni greets, "Lady Sayilla, Steward." Perigourd moves away from Missoni, over to Sayilla, and stands ready to guard her from attack. You politely greet, "Well met." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Kothos says, "Good evening, Steward Jarnsaixa." Guarrin cordially greets, "Lady Sayilla. Steward. Good evening." Dirra says, "Evening." Speaking in Giantman to Falicor, Jarnsaixa says something you don't understand. Speaking to Sayilla, Teveriel says, "We are glad to find you well, Lady Javilerre." Jarnsaixa nods. [Jarnsaixa greets everyone.] Speaking respectfully to Sayilla, Gaturnius says, "We are glad for your safe arrival." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Raelee greets, "Steward." Jarnsaixa raises an eyebrow in Jisandra's direction. Jisandra fidgets. Jisandra coughs. Sayilla nods her head in acknowledgement to the greetings, taking a step to one side of Jarnsaixa but still within her protective reach. Jarnsaixa slowly empties her lungs. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Jisandra mumbles, "...just a... spirited debate..." Jisandra blushes a glowing shade of red. Jarnsaixa nods at Jisandra. Jarnsaixa says, "I sense many of those in my future." Jarnsaixa says, "We will be heading to the piers. We are to take a recommissioned ship." Sayilla says, "We appreciate the show of support today." Alosaka says, "Better than a decomissioned ship." Jarnsaixa says, "I believe the Captain is known to many of you." Jarnsaixa says, "She is part of the Vornavian Navy." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Grutak says, "As are you." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Guarrin asks, "Ah. Captain Kimrella?" Perigourd nods in agreement. Jaysehn says, "Ah..." Missoni nods approvingly. Jarnsaixa nods once. Jaysehn nods at Guarrin. Guarrin nods approvingly. Gaturnius nods approvingly. Missoni firmly says, "Excellent." >look jarnsaixa You see Steward Jarnsaixa Vargrdoittr the Bodyguard to the Sunthrone of the Turamzzyrian Empire. She appears to be a Giantman of the Grishknel Clan. She is tall and has lean, well-muscled form. She appears to be mature. She has round, slightly hooded and green-tinted hazel eyes and bronze skin. She has waist-length, smooth sun-lightened, chocolate brown hair twisted into a multitude of warbraids, alternating thin and thick as they hug her skull with each sporadically banded in gold-wired coils. She has a muscled face, a broken nose and a stern countenance. She is in good shape. She is wearing an ebon Vornavian silk armband, a decorative gold aventail incised with symbols of rank and office, a knotwork bronze brooch, a gold-banded leather back sheath, a crimson-panel boiled leather bodice over a heavy imperial tartan arisaid with a thick woolen chemise sporting crimson ribbon-gathered sleeves underneath, a dark red suede belt, a sun-embossed dark suede pouch, a faenor-capped brown leather sheath, and a pair of tassetted knee-knigh socks under some sturdy calf-high boots tightly laced in rawhide. >look sayilla You see Sayilla Javilerre Illistim. She appears to be an Elf. She is petite. She appears to be young. She has slightly tilted pale green eyes and fair skin. She has long, glossy copper hair pinned atop her head in a coiled, braided bun. She has an oval face, a classical nose and upswept pointed ears. She is in good shape. She is wearing a pair of teardrop cerulean glimaerstone earrings, a twisted vaalin choker with an onyx mournbloom pendant, a richly appointed ebon wool cloak lined with mist grey crushed velvet, an ebon Vornavian silk armband, a midnight black damask gown with darkened cerulean satin petticoats, a small vaalin signet ring, a sashed black damask pouch, and a pair of supple black leather ankle boots. Speaking to Sayilla, you murmur, "Your token of remembrance is very touching." Jaysehn says, "Well...that is a relief." You reach up with your opposite hand and place it upon the Vornavian silk armband, bowing your head slightly in respect for those lost. Jaysehn nods approvingly. Speaking to Jaysehn, Missoni says, "Capable hands." Jaysehn says, "Very." Guarrin admits, "It has been a long time." Guarrin nods approvingly. Teveriel admits, "I am not familiar. But if she has the confidence of both Sir Guarrin and the Commodore.." Teveriel nods approvingly. Sayilla says, "It has been a sad few days, and tis but a token, but one I wear with sincerity, sadness, and respect." Jarnsaixa says, "She is strongheaded and capable, I'm told." Sayilla reaches up with her opposite hand and places it upon her Vornavian silk armband, bowing her head slightly as she gazes downwards. Missoni agrees with Jarnsaixa. You nod graciously at Sayilla. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Jaysehn says, "Good traits at sea." Gaturnius nods understandingly at Sayilla. Jarnsaixa says, "Hmm, indeed." Tikba nods approvingly at Jarnsaixa. Speaking to Teveriel, Guarrin says, "She has led several difficult expeditions over the years." Jarnsaixa says, "If you would form up on me, I will depart on the count." [Everyone joins Jarnsaixa and starts getting ready for battle just in case.] Jarnsaixa says, "Please remember to keep the Lady Sayilla inside." Akenna nods once at Jarnsaixa. Speaking slowly to Sayilla, Jarnsaixa says, "Remember, you promised." Maylan asks, "Inside of what?" Speaking to Maylan, Jarnsaixa says, "The protective circle or shiny armor." Speaking to Sayilla, Maylan says, "Keep your arms and legs inside the shiny armor." Speaking to Sayilla, Maylan says, "Like a turtle." Speaking to Maylan, Aliashyrah whispers aloud, "Our meat shielf of bodies." Aliashyrah corrects, "Shield." Jarnsaixa says, "We will depart in Three." Grutak says, ""::Sayilla if it is trouble you wish to find, I know a great bar down on one of the peirs. Great ales. Nice fish. Rough crowd though." Sayilla says, "I shall gladly walk amidst such honorable protection, but do ensure I have room to move." Sayilla smiles. Jarnsaixa says, "No." Speaking to Aliashyrah, Maylan exclaims, "Oh, keep me inside too!" Jarnsaixa glances at Grutak. Akenna primly says, "She's leaving." Grutak grins at Jarnsaixa. Speaking to Sayilla, Grutak says, "Just say the word mum." Jarnsaixa says, "Departing in two." Grutak winks at Sayilla. Speaking to Grutak, Jarnsaixa says, "Sir, the answer is no." Sayilla nods at Jarnsaixa. Sorlu glances between Grutak and Jarnsaixa. Delindra glances between Jarnsaixa and Grutak. Jarnsaixa says, "One." Sayilla prepares to follow close behind, glancing about her carefully. Speaking gently to Sayilla, Uniana asks, "Have you had any correspondence with your uncle?" Steward Jarnsaixa's group just went west. [Vornavis, Outer Bailey Avenue] Cobbled with white pavers and sporadically dotted with blue and green fieldstones, the avenue passes through the residential area of Vornavis between both the eastern and western curtain walls. Growing less densely populated, the homes are in a chalet style and surrounded by cultivated hedges and manicured lawns. Flower-festooned baskets hang from broad lampposts topped with frosted glass orbs, the lacquered wrought iron glittering in the lamplight. [Vornavis, Gate of Light] Bordered on its south by the interlocking pavers of the canal-spanning bridge, the sprawling courtyard is comprised of rounded cobblestones painted bright white and laid in concentric bands around a marble fountain. Flanking the gates that connect Vornavis to Solhaven are wrought iron loops that resembed shepherd's crooks, each dangling a glass-doored octagonal lantern that bathes the area in bright light. Branching out from the courtyard like the rays of a stylized sun, five avenues head deeper into the city. You also see an ebon-canopied dusky maoral stall with some stuff on it. [Solhaven, Esplanade Gate] A swan of white ora sits on the green copper gates, proclaiming them an entrance into Vornavis. Around them stands a huge granite wall, protecting the inhabitants of the city from all intruders. Citizens move through the gates under the careful eye of the Baronial guard standing in front of the portal. You also see a pale-faced coppery barn owl that is flying around. [Solhaven, Liabo Esplanade] The tops of faewood trees enshroud the peaked roof of a small temple rising above the myrtle hedge running along the esplanade's southern edge. Near a budding linden tree with a narrow crack splitting the ground at its base, an unassuming shrouded walk proceeds through a break in the hedge. Vornavis's Canal Gate is visible to the east, rising beyond a glaes-studded steel archway. Townspeople scurry into and out of the structure at a fast clip. You also see a middle-aged human priestess. [Solhaven, Nerite Lane] The long, gambrel-roofed bulk of the Scribners' Hall fills the north side of Nerite Lane, the gleam from its row of glaes-paned dormers lending brightness to an otherwise drab building. You also see a small building, a shabby hovel and a trimmed hedge with a framed gap. A bronze bow hangs above the entrance of a shop on the southeast corner of the intersection, and across from it a simple two story house occupies the intersection's northeast corner. [Solhaven, Nerite Lane] Amid the intermixed dwellings and storefronts, a well-maintained shop catches your eye. From the trimly-painted frame of the generous doorway to the fresh whitewash of the half-timbered walls, the immaculate appearance of the shop alludes to the quality of its wares. [Solhaven, Nerite Lane] White-wimpled housewives in their mantles and gowns mingle with brightly-clad artisans and clerics sporting their deities' colors, each on some private mission among the shops and stalls of Solhaven. [Solhaven, Nerite Lane] The bustle of merchants, tradesmen, and sailors through the intersection is almost frantic. More than a few of them appear to do business within a rather run-down corner shop that displays three brass spheres above the door. You also see a drunken sailor. [Solhaven, Nerite Lane] Achieving a trim, conservative air, the buildings in this area are all fronted with tiles in earthtones and pastels. On the north side of the lane, a set of steps leads down to a modest tiled shop and its narrow entrance. To the south, just beyond a high wall of white stone, a high-spired temple rises into the sky like a golden beacon. [Solhaven, Bayside Road] A capacious, whitewashed warehouse faces North 'Haven Quay across Bayside Road. The constant flow of longshoremen to and from the quay is often at odds with the traffic on Bayside. You also see a dirty rat, a white steel gate and a whitewashed warehouse. [Solhaven, North 'Haven Quay] Lighters and barges tie up along the north side of the quay, loading supplies and cargo for the larger carracks and cogs moored further out in the bay. The south side of the quay descends in a broad stretch of steps to the water, providing easy boarding for the passengers of the many punts, gigs and skiffs plying the bay between the shore and the anchored vessels. [Solhaven, North 'Haven Quay] The stretch of grass tufts and jutting stone is littered with stacks of barrels, crates, and bales that leave little room to move, but that seems to little impede the flow of merchants and sailors swarming over the quay like garish ants. The trunk of the mainmast occupies the center of the deck, and the mainshrouds rise from the port and starboard mainchains to the top of the mainmast. She is wearing a dark green wool cloak adorned with braided white leather epaulets, a vert-dyed leather corset vest with an open-necked white linen shirt caught with polished wood buttons underneath, an ivory leather swordbelt affixed with gilt-throated scabbards, some bloused black suede pantaloons side-buckled along the waist, and a pair of sea thrak hide boots. Kimrella bows to Jarnsaixa. Missoni greets, "Captain Kimrella." Kothos says, "Thank you, Captain." Speaking to Kimrella, Guarrin greets, "Captain. It ihas been far too long." Maylan hopefully asks, "Can we see the ship?" (Jaysehn wanders around the deck for a moment, examing the rigging with nod of satisfied approval.) Sayilla inclines her head respectfully in acknowledgement of Kimrella. Maylan asks, "Round the whole area?" Speaking to Kimrella, Jarnsaixa asks, "I trust that a proper inspect was completed to ensure no stowaways?" Speaking to Maylan, Ordim exclaims, "Maybe they have a brig!" Kimrella slowly says, "I don't see why not, we recommissioned it from the krolvin, and we are awfully proud of our efforts." Maylan fully extends her wings and stands perfectly still, eyeing Ordim cautiously. Kimrella nods firmly at Jarnsaixa. Guarrin raises an eyebrow in Kimrella's direction. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Kimrella says, "We've searched every nook and cranny, much to my crew's dismay." Jaysehn asks, "She was krolvin, eh?" Speaking to Kimrella, Guarrin mentions, "There is another Captain we should discuss sometime." Jarnsaixa nods once. Jarnsaixa says, "Thank you." Speaking to Alosaka, Meliyara whispers aloud, "Recommissioned means it -was- decommissioned, eii?" Speaking to Jaysehn, Kimrella echoes, "Was." Kimrella flashes a quick grin. Speaking to Maylan, Tikba whispers aloud, "You must explain to me how to conduct myself aboard ship. I have never been on such a vessel." Speaking to Kimrella, Teveriel says, "Well done. They've been increasingly bold of late." Speaking to Jaysehn, Akenna says, "You can tell by the frame." Jaysehn agreeably says, "Was." Falicor says, "Smells clean, anyhow." Kimrella nods slowly at Guarrin. Speaking to Sayilla, Jarnsaixa asks, "Are you comfortable enough? Do I need to have anyone fetch anything for you before we are underway?" Speaking to Tikba, Maylan whispers aloud, "How the hell do I know? I'm a Land Pirate." Speaking concernedly to Jaysehn, Meril asks, "Should we check the ship for roa'ters?" Speaking to Kimrella, Guarrin says, "Perhaps on your return." Teveriel says, "We've even seen them sailing in eastern waters with far more frequency." Tikba gazes in amusement at Maylan. Speaking softly to Tikba, Jisandra suggests, "Just try not to fall overboard and I think you should be alright." Tikba nods understandingly at Maylan. Tikba nods appreciatively at Jisandra. Speaking to Teveriel, Guarrin says, "Troubling to hear." Speaking warmly to Guarrin, Kimrella says, "I look forward to it." Speaking amusedly to Meril, Jaysehn says, "I can make no promises." Guarrin nods appreciatively at Kimrella. Maylan knocks on the aftcastle door. Katiesa amusedly murmurs, "No falling overboard. Check." Jisandra murmurs, "And I think it's only polite to swing from the rigging if you've been specifically invited to do so." Kimrella casually glances up. Jisandra ducks her head. [Several people explore the ship, which consists of the midships, up the aftcastle ladder to the aftcastle deck, and up the fo'csle ladder to the fo'csle deck.] Sayilla nods to Kothos and murmurs, "I am fine, thank you." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Jisandra explains, "Good vantage points, and all." Jisandra glances up. Jaysehn casually flicks the compass rose-embossed strap holding his rose gold spyglass, allowing it to fall briefly before deftly catching it with a dramatic extension of his arm, extending the gold segments to full-length. Jarnsaixa says, "As you say." Kothos bows to Sayilla. Jisandra adds, "If you have a stomach for heights." Speaking to Kimrella, Maylan asks, "What's behind that door?" Speaking to Kimrella, Grutak asks, "Why would the crew be uncomfortable on their own ship?" Maylan knocks on the aftcastle door. Maylan fully extends her wings, and eyes the aftcastle door cautiously. Speaking to Grutak, Kimrella explains, "We don't normally take on such a crowd, they've become hermits." Idly picking at her chipped fingernail, Tikba seems distant, but you get the impression she is taking in everything. Jarnsaixa says, "I believe then, since the Lady is ready, that we are as well." Ordim asks, "They are expecting such a large group to accompany on the entire journey?" Speaking evenly to Maylan, Kimrella says, "My treasure, of course." Speaking to Kimrella, Maylan exclaims, "Oh show us!" Delindra surreptitiously glances at Maylan. Speaking to Kimrella, Jarnsaixa says, "Captain, at your leisure." Grutak says, "Odd that. Most sailors I recall were would boisterous braggarts. Good men and women the lot of'em." Speaking to Ordim, Kimrella says, "Jarnsaixa mentioned the possibility, I like to be prepared in any circumstance." Kimrella nods once at Jarnsaixa. Jaysehn nods. Ordim declares, "My honor to Vornavis and the Haven ends here, since the Nations couldn't return ours, I will do no more than this to return theirs." Ordim scowls. Jaysehn says, "She's got a fine line on her, Captain. My compliments." Dahcre Reader Ordim just entered a long green walkway to green pier. Kimrella yells to no one in particular, "Lower the sails! Prepare to depart!" Jarnsaixa says, "There are many of you getting a little to close to the lady for my comfort. Please don't make me have to step between." The ship's decks bustle with activity as the crew hurries about the deck, fiddling with the rigging as they lower the sails one at a time. Speaking to Kimrella, Perigourd asks, "I expect she's well armed?" Sayilla nods at Akenna. Kothos says, "I will keep a respectful distance, Steward. For my part." Sailors call to one another, voices carried through the sea breeze blowing across the deck, as they prepare the ship for departure. Akenna smiles at Sayilla. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Grutak says, "Perhaps if you gave her a chair and sat her in a corner. you could then stand in front of her and no one would see her." Nalver says, "I believe that this group will be targeted by the same ones that have sought to destabilize the east and west." Kothos says, "Besides, I look best standing next to the starlight over the horizon." Nalver says, "There are too many important people here." Jarnsaixa glances at Grutak. Crew on the docks unwind lines from posts, leaving the sailors on deck to draw them back on board and wrap them about iron cleats for storage. Speaking to Kimrella, Maylan says, "I found your treasure." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Grutak says, "Just a suggestion." Speaking to Grutak, Sayilla says, "Perhaps you can be more respectful of my protector doing her job." Speaking to Maylan, Meliyara asks, "Plum duff?" Guarrin nods at Kimrella. Kimrella grins wryly at Maylan. Maylan grabs a head of green lettuce from a snot-crusted handkerchief inside of her quilted toqua. Jarnsaixa smirks. Maylan says, "This stuff." Speaking to Sayilla, Grutak says, "I am. Trust me." Jarnsaixa nods politely at Sayilla. Speaking to Falicor, Kothos says, "This time we're not on an airship, I feel a little more in my element." The crew on the pier hurry up the walkway onto the ship. Grutak says, "I'm actually being good for once." Speaking curiously to Sayilla, Missoni asks, "Are you fond of travel by sea?" Speaking to Perigourd, Kimrella says, "And to answer your question sir, we're as armed as we can be, but the extra bodies won't hurt." Perigourd nods at Kimrella. A crew member yells from above, "She's a frightenin' sight when she's angry!" Kimrella glances up. Speaking to Raelee, Kothos says, "Despite the fact that I have never been on the best of terms with my days in the Cove, it was nostalgic to sail home, a couple of weeks ago." Maylan raises an eyebrow in Kimrella's direction. Speaking to Kimrella, Jaysehn says, "You have some cheeky topsailmen, Captain." Katiesa lightly says, "Spirited." Speaking to Jaysehn, Meliyara asks, "Is this not redundant?" Speaking to Jaysehn, Kimrella says, "As close to family as I get, sir." Speaking to Kothos, Raelee says, "I see." Speaking to Jaysehn, Missoni says, "It speaks well of the crew's mood, perhaps." Speaking to Kimrella, Jaysehn says, "I understand completely." Speaking to Kothos, Raelee says, "Perhaps you can elaborate later." Sayilla paces a bit, rubbing her temples. Speaking to Missoni, Jaysehn says, "Very. Guarrin glances between Jarnsaixa and Sayilla. Speaking to Sayilla, Jarnsaixa says, "I remember the trip up to the Landing." Jarnsaixa accepts Akenna's sassafras tea. Jarnsaixa nods once. Jarnsaixa nods at Nalver. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Nalver says, "I am very fond of that sweater. So I would appreciate it getting back to me whenever the lady is through with it." Nalver attends to his elesine cloak, making the cloak as presentable as possible. Sayilla says, "Oh, this is...welll...it looks quite warm." Meliyara offers Jarnsaixa a mug of thick mocha coffee. Kimrella announces, "Last call, if you doubt your wits on the waters, the walkway is right there!" Nalver chuckles. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Meliyara says, "For you." Jarnsaixa smiles at Meliyara. Jarnsaixa accepts Meliyara's thick mocha coffee. Grunting lewdly, Maylan clumsily sprawls into a rickety driftwood chair with a mildew encrusted cushion. Meddici asks, "Where are we going?" Kimrella flashes a quick grin. Speaking to Kimrella, Nalver says, "I vaguely remember your name. More your position." Speaking to Sayilla, Kothos says, "My lady, if you are unaccustomed to travel by ship..." Sayilla finishes her tea and puts the cup off to one side, where a cabin boy darts over to retrieve it. Speaking to Kimrella, Akenna assures, "The water is where I excel." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Kimrella asks, "Care to let your guests know our destination?" Speaking to Kimrella, Nalver asks, "There wouldn't be two Kimrella's, would there?" Uniana gives a sidelong glance at Jarnsaixa. Speaking to Sayilla, Kothos says, "I would advise you not watch the water." Jarnsaixa says, "I didn't think it was a hard fact." Jarnsaixa says, "We said we were returning her to the Sun Throne." The crew pulls the green walkway on board and tucks it to one side. Speaking to Sayilla, Maylan asks, "Did you pack enough taders?" Perigourd looks thoughtfully at Jarnsaixa. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Perigourd asks, "Tamzyrr?" Speaking to Nalver, Kimrella asks, "Not that I recall, have you seen my twin?" Several burly crewmates work in unison to push the capstan, raising the anchor from the depths of the bay. Nalver examines Kimrella closely, sizing her up and taking note of all the details. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Kothos says, "Steward, I can conjure a cinnamon and honey biscuit for her, if you wish. It may help settle her stomach." Speaking to Kimrella, Thrassus asks, "Would you like a magical wind to fill the sails once we are fully underway?" Sayilla wraps the sweater about her arms and pulls her cloak tigher about her. Jarnsaixa smiles at Kothos. Kothos offers Jarnsaixa a cinnamon honey drop biscuit. Speaking to Thrassus, Kimrella says, "If you'd like, it does seem windy enough out here." Thrassus nods at Kimrella. Grutak glances at Nalver. Sayilla glances across the vessel, eyes distant and distracted. Wind catches on the lowered sails as the crew works to provide minute adjustments to positioning. The ship glides slowly away from the dock, picking up momentum the longer it is untethered. Nalver says, "Lots of hard looks." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Kothos says, "It's just my manna bread spell, with a little Brisker's Cove flavor to it." Jarnsaixa nods once. Grutak says, "Not from me." Jarnsaixa offers Sayilla a cinnamon honey drop biscuit. Speaking to Kimrella, Maylan inquires, "You need any mopping while I'm aboard?" Speaking to Sayilla, Jarnsaixa says, "He says it will calm your stomach." Sayilla accepts Jarnsaixa's honey drop biscuit. The leadsman by the shrouds swings the weighted lead, checking continuously for depth as the ship heads out to sea. Grutak says, "I'm here for a pleasure cruise, just keeping the Councilor protected." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Nalver says, "I'd be happy to take a bite to prove...." Grutak says, "Not that he needs it, still, it's good work, honest work." Kimrella yells, "All eyes on the waters, let's get this ship safely to Tamzyrr!" (Uniana remains steady on her feet, barely shifting as the ship lurches out away from the pier.) Sayilla says, "I...well, I appreciate it." Kothos says, "You likely don't wish to eat right now, my lady. But she's right, it will soothe you." Kothos bows to Sayilla. Speaking to Nalver, Jarnsaixa says, "I have already inspected it." Sayilla nibbles at the biscuit, a few crumbs falling onto the sweater wrapped about her arms. (Maylan hunches low into her chair, adjusting her toqua to provide coverage against the elements.) (Gaturnius braces himself as the ship begins to move.) Speaking quietly to herself, Raelee remarks, "... far too many hours on the water of late." Grutak says, "I love the way the ship rolls." The ship rocks gently with the waves as it cuts through them. Cryheart says, "I am always vigil." Sayilla says, "I wish there had been more news from the Shining City." Grutak asks, "How deeps the keel?" Speaking breathlessly to Raelee, Kimrella asks, "It has it's own charm, doesn't it?" (Delindra moves off to the side, keeping an eye on the goings-on. She cradles her instrument against her chest and moves her fingers over the strings carefully, falling into a soft, soothing tune, with a bit of the lilt of the sea in the beat.) Grutak glances at Kimrella. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Nalver says, "I know some news from there." Tikba glances uneasily around the area. Speaking to Sayilla, Jarnsaixa says, "I know, it has been sprase and silent." Sayilla paces back and forth, but never straying too far from Jarnsaixa. Jarnsaixa raises an eyebrow in Nalver's direction. Gaturnius deeply remarks, "There is nothing like the salty air of the sea." Guarrin reaches up with his opposite hand and places it upon his Vornavian silk armband, bowing his head slightly as he gazes downwards. Sayilla nods at Jarnsaixa. Nalver says, "Someone was killed at a ball, just a few nights ago." Fionola stares off into space. Sayilla glances at Nalver. Meliyara looks at Nalver blankly, at a loss to express herself. Sayilla says, "Yes, we are quite aware." Jarnsaixa glances at Nalver. Falicor takes a slow, deep breath then pinches the bridge of his nose. Nalver fidgets. Speaking to Uniana, you say, "That is kind of you to do so." Speaking to Kimrella, Grutak says, "Curious. She's fast for something that deep." Jarnsaixa looks thoughtfully at Uniana. Speaking to Uniana, Sayilla says, "It is appreciated." Grutak says, "Must mean she's lighter than normal ships her size." Grutak gazes out. Sayilla says, "She will be missed, and it is a terrible affair to have occur during such a time of goodwill and imperial exchanges." Sayilla frowns. Speaking to Grutak, Kimrella says, "The krolvin do know how to build a ship...but with a few tweaks we made it better." Cryheart nods at Sayilla. Perigourd nods in agreement at Sayilla. Guarrin nods grimly at Sayilla. Meliyara reaches up with her opposite hand and places it upon her Vornavian silk armband, bowing her head slightly as she gazes downwards. Jarnsaixa says, "There is a weight to the Vornavian Court that will take a long time to lift." Akenna agrees, "Krolvin trim boats for speed and brutality." Speaking to Kimrella, Raelee observes, "I do not know that I agree with your definition of charm." Guarrin furrows his brow. Wind whips across the decks as the North 'Haven Quay grows further away, the fiery torches marking its presence becoming pinpricks of light in the darkness. Uniana nods sympathetically at Jarnsaixa. You nod somberly at Jarnsaixa. Speaking to Kimrella, Grutak says, "I agree. Took out quite a few a decade or so ago." Akenna says, "That makes burning them more enjoyable." Kothos says, "Indeed. Lord Salnim is also a most affable and capable man. I am sorry for his loss." Grutak grins at Kimrella. Kimrella flashes a quick grin at Raelee. Kimrella nods approvingly at Grutak. Jarnsaixa glances between Sayilla and Kimrella. Jaysehn says, "Clear so far." Jarnsaixa accepts Kimrella's iron key. Speaking to Kimrella, Jarnsaixa says, "Thank you." Jaysehn adjusts his rose gold spyglass, brushing his fingertips against its gold tube and tracing the filament-linked constellations, inspecting the piece closely. Speaking to Meddici, Meliyara asks, "As safe as it ever is at sea, neh?" Speaking worriedly to Tikba, Kimrella asks, "Not used to the feel of the waters below you?" Tikba nods in agreement at Kimrella. Speaking kindly to Tikba, Uniana suggests, "Look forward and fix your eyes on a star along the horizon." Speaking to Tikba, Grutak says, "Drink something warm, non-alcholic. Trust me." Uniana points up. Maylan pulls her feet up off of the ground and onto her driftwood chair. Tikba says, "I have never been aboard such a ship before." Speaking to Tikba, Missoni says, "Would you like some tea and crackers? I found it quite difficult to get used to, as well." Tikba glances between Uniana and Grutak. Tikba nods slowly. Speaking to Kimrella, Jaysehn asks, "Permission to go up to the quarterdeck, Captain?" Tikba says, "You are all very kind." Kimrella nods at Jaysehn. Uniana says, "Or we wish to preserve our shoes." Tikba glances south. Speaking to Jaysehn, Kimrella says, "Enjoy yourself." A pair of crewmates adjust the rigging on the mainsail, repositioning it slightly as the boat starts a very subtle turn. Speaking to Nalver, Meliyara says, "Unlikely." Falicor surveys his surroundings carefully. Kimrella jokingly yells to her crew, "Excellent job! It's as if we've sailed before!" Meliyara gazes in amusement at Kimrella. (Gaturnius gazes out over the water.) Delindra begins chuckling at Kimrella! Kothos begins chuckling at Kimrella! Nalver says, "Fyg is going to kill me. She just knitted it for me." Gaturnius grins at Kimrella. For the briefest of moments, Aliashyrah's glance alights on the door. Missoni murmurs, "The open sea does make one feel a bit better." Aliashyrah curiously says, "I wonder how long it takes to settle someone and check a room." Speaking to Nalver, Grutak says, "You are over reacting. Fyg never kills anyone." Kimrella murmurs, "I suppose yelling isn't giving the Lady her proper rest." Cryheart nods at Kimrella. Katiesa lightly says, "Perhaps you shall have to live aboard the Starseeker forever to stay safe." Speaking to Kimrella, Falicor asks, "Yell quietly?" Delindra innocently asks, "What do you do for a ship when it has gotten ill?" Raelee squints at Delindra. Speaking to Perigourd, Missoni says, "But half a lifetime for you." Speaking to Sorlu, Aliashyrah says, "The sea air here has a much more appealing scent than back home." Sayilla's Demise?
* Sayilla is off to a rough start! She just took a long walk off of a short pier! Perigourd blinks. Kimrella says, "I was going to offer it-" Something heavy slams against the aft castle door and you hear a grunt. Something heavy slams against the aft castle door and you hear a grunt. Reaching over his shoulder, Perigourd draws his kelyn warsword from a series of straps on the back of his leather baldric. A ripple of honey amber light shimmers over the surface of the warsword as a faint huff vibrates through it. Perigourd bashes the aftcastle door with his kelyn warsword. Meril furrows her brow. Cryheart asks, "What?" Meliyara glances at the aftcastle door. Kimrella glances at the aftcastle door. Gaturnius gasps. Perigourd bashes the aftcastle door with his kelyn warsword. Sorlu blinks. Raelee closes her eyes for a moment. Gaturnius turns to face the aftcastle door. Missoni clasps her hand over her mouth. Aliashyrah says, "That's a bad sound." With a roar, Cryheart lowers his shoulder and charges the aftcastle door! Gesturing effortlessly, Meliyara casually invokes the elements to do her bidding. Gaturnius knocks on the aftcastle door. Meliyara gestures into the air. Meliyara gets a frustrated look on her face. Uniana winces. Jaysehn deftly collapses the segments of his gold spyglass, twisting it firmly before affixing it to his morduska hide swordbelt with the compass rose-embossed strap. Alosaka asks, "Did you hear something?" Kothos says, "Oh no." Katiesa glances at the aftcastle door. With a roar, Jaysehn lowers his shoulder and charges the aftcastle door! Alosaka traces a sign while petitioning the spirits for cognition... A deep, booming voice sounds from up in the crow's nest, "Man overboard!" Several crew members move immediately into action, running along the sides of the deck as they peer out to the blackened sea. Cryheart asks, "Ye got a spare key?" Kimrella says, "Wait wait, I have an extra key." Kimrella nods. Meddici's jaw drops. Kimrella removes a blackened iron key from in her green wool cloak. You blink. You glance out. You hear a click as Kimrella unlocks the aftcastle door. Tikba says, "Sayilla." Missoni says, "It sounds like s scuffle in the--" Guarrin gives a sidelong glance at Kimrella. Kimrella just opened the aftcastle door. [Many enter the door.] Over the susurrus of the sea breeze, someone cries from the foredeck, "Man overboard!" Jaysehn asks, "Who went over!?" Kimrella yells, "Crew! Eyes on the waters!" Speaking hurriedly to Kimrella, Aliashyrah exclaims, "Quickly!" Kothos asks, "Who's gone and fallen off?" Dirra says, "Who is overboard." >look [Starseeker, 'Midships] Hollystoned to the color of pale honey, the oak planking here in the waist of the vessel stretches from the break of the fo'csle to the break of the aftcastle. The trunk of the mainmast occupies the center of the deck, and the mainshrouds rise from the port and starboard mainchains to the top of the mainmast. The aftcastle ladder leads from here up to the aftcastle deck, and the fo'csle ladder leads up to the fo'csle deck. She is holding a suede-wrapped golvern langseax etched in radient sunrays in her right hand and an ebon-hilted faenor sgian dubh in her left hand. Perigourd sniffs at his glass bottle. Perigourd furrows his brow. Akenna asks, "Where can we get into the water?" Grutak asks, "Do you have any long boats aboard?" Jarnsaixa frowns at Meril. The decks are overrun with crew members as they scurry about the ship, shouting to one another and searching behind every crate and door. Numerous sailors stand at the sides of the deck, fruitlessly watching the water. Jarnsaixa nods at Meril. You glance out. You take a few steps back. Kothos asks, "You are certain her body was thrown overboard, Steward?" Jarnsaixa slams her fist into the wall again. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Guarrin asks, "Where is this Grenhal then?" Speaking to Raelee, you murmur, "I'm staying in here lest I get in their way." Akenna calmly says, "We'll get through this, we have to have clear heads." Alosaka says, "The ocean is dark. The approaching vessel turns its starboard side towards the Starseeker, sliding in place beside it as darkened figures swing across the gap from leads tied to the rigging and masts. Raelee says, "Time to wade into the fray." Raelee sighs.

Speaking to Kothos, Thrassus says, "There was a bloodstained cloak on the floor in the chamber." Kimrella glances up. Maylan exclaims, "Oh!" Kothos asks, "May I see this cloak?" Grutak says, "The Captain is in charge of this ship until it ports." Perigourd says, "It is full of some odd bottles.." Perigourd sniffs at his glass bottle. Speaking angrily to Kimrella, Jarnsaixa says, "I have failed enough for one day. I am not going to go back to Vornavis shy my ward." Jaysehn says, "We have a captitve, it seems." Speaking to Kimrella, Aliashyrah asks, "Then it is your opinion that she is lost?" Speaking to Kimrella, Falicor says, "I am a capable and determined swimmer." Kimrella yells, "Well, bring our guest over then." Cryheart says, "Captain." Speaking to Perigourd, Missoni asks, "What is that?" Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Akenna says, "I will follow you." You say, "I was not able to find anything further of note within the cabin's quarters." Speaking to Perigourd, Guarrin says, "Perhaps a bard can learn something from it." Jisandra says, "I could loresing the cloak to check what it could tell us about this healer woman..." Thrassus says, "Someone must have picked the cloak up." The crew moves away from where they were watching the pirate being interrogated to quickly work on sail adjustments as the ship starts to turn around. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Kimrella says, "My crew are the finest sailors in the Vornavian Navy, we will comb every inch of the waters, but we need to return to port to assess." Jarnsaixa says, "It was a short sword, and yes, she had the strength of a bear." Speaking to Perigourd, a one-eyed greasy pirate says, "Prolly the fireworks." Jarnsaixa says, "And I put my knife deep in her gut." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Meliyara asks, "Anything notable about the sword?" Speaking absently to Jarnsaixa, Raelee says, "... I do not see anything yet." Alosaka says, "Healers can walk on water. If she is as strong as you say, I don't see why she couldn't simply carry the Lady Sayilla with her across the waves." Kothos says, "Being gutted wouldn't bother her too much, if it didn't kill her outright." Alosaka says, "If she wanted to kill Sayilla, she could've done that easily in the room. She tossed her overboard for a reason." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Jarnsaixa says, "Do not make me lose my calm." Kothos says, "It would take a wave of her fingers to heal herself." Jaysehn agrees with Alosaka. Uniana ventures, "To prevent intervention?" Speaking to Alosaka, Tikba says, "To send her further from help, perhaps." The one-eyed, greasy pirate shrugs his shoulders. Alosaka says, "Logic suggests it wasn't simply to drown her, and I assume this healer had a plan for herself to survive." Kothos says, "Or for us to assume she's dead." Jaysehn says, "Smugglers toss cargo overboard for pick up by other ships. Its common. I suppose the same could be done with a hostage." Speaking softly to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Akenna pleads, "Please, help us." You quietly say, "The minutes following such a grevious wound are vital to ensuring that the soul can remain bound." A one-eyed greasy pirate says, "Was worth askin', now that I'm without a job thanks t'the lot of ya." Jarnsaixa frustratedly asks, "I don't know. And I don't understand. How was she able to attend to the Baron all these weeks? How did she get on the ship?" Grutak says, "Someone kill the pirate and shut him up. He's of no use if he hasn't got a ship and captain." Kimrella thoughtfully says, "To simply go to that much trouble to throw her into the waters seems very unlikely." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Perigourd says, "I wouldn't call piracy a job." Alosaka says, "The simplest answer is that they're aboard this pirate ship." Delindra nods at Kimrella. Tikba looks thoughtfully at Jarnsaixa. Cryheart asks, "Perhaps they had a boat to pick her up?" Speaking to Aliashyrah, Sorlu whispers aloud, "I don't know. There might be a new captain position open soon." Tikba asks, "Did she seem like the healer, otherwise?" Guarrin says, "Yes, which is why we need names." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Jaysehn says, "You have days to live at most. You better remember where your ship resupplies and who captains it." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Tikba asks, "Or did she merely look like the healer?" Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Akenna says, "This woman, she is important, I think you know that much. If you help... maybe a job is in your future... in the sentinel fleet." Guarrin raises an eyebrow in Jarnsaixa's direction. You nod slightly at Jarnsaixa. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Guarrin asks, "Watching her do what, exactly?" Meliyara shows Jarnsaixa her glass bottle. Alosaka says, "If our priority is Lady Sayilla, then I suggest we make this pirate an offer he can't refuse." Jarnsaixa says, "Work with Odelgarde and the Baron." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Meliyara asks, "Is this familiar in any way?" Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Akenna asks, "You don't know the name of the ship you were on? The crew?" Speaking simply to Jarnsaixa, Kimrella says, "She fooled everyone under the guise of a healer, this is not a scenario you would have imagined." Jarnsaixa says, "She was hag, to be sure. Very rude, but the old healers always are." A one-eyed greasy pirate says, "I must've gotten knocked ont he head 'cause I jus' can't remember." Jisandra suggests, "If he's under the influence of some kind of spell affecting his mind, I could try to Unravel it." Mohrgan asks, "Perhaps he's been cursed?" Cryheart says, "Or drugged." Meliyara says, "Perhaps he is simply toying with us." Jisandra adds, "Or someone could try to Dispel it." Maylan says, "Mayhaps he's just stupid." Akenna says, "He isn't." Speaking to Guarrin, Jaysehn says, "He has to go to the Baron. So the resources of the Barony can be brought to bear on this." Jarnsaixa asks, "Is this a common thing?" Kimrella mutters, "It could be a combination." Alosaka says, "You wouldn't drug your fighters right before they go into combat. This is magical and very specific." Fully turned around, the ship rocks with the waves as it speeds towards Solhaven. Speaking to Kimrella, Grutak asks, "Was the healer one of your crew?" Akenna says, "I mean, I'm sure he's not the sharpest sword in the pile.. but I think they've done something to the crew." Kimrella looks over at Grutak and shakes her head. Earthdiver says, "I mean, dispelling spells and checking for mind hexes is all fine and well. But checking for a head injury is generally the first course of action." Speaking thoughtfully to Alosaka, Tikba says, "Somebody who knew we captured him wished to ensure we gained nothing." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Kothos asks, "Do you remember anything about your captain?" Alosaka says, "Give him to the Hall. They'll be motivated to solve this." Akenna says, "He's probably hexed." Speaking to Kimrella, Jarnsaixa asks, "How fast can we back out?" Speaking to Grutak, Kimrella says, "We tend to stockpile herbs and tinctures when we sail, easier to heal ourselves during combat." Speaking to Alosaka, Perigourd says, "Those who witnessed the killer in Icemule were in a similar state." Speaking to Kothos, a one-eyed greasy pirate says, "Uh, yeah, I saw him..." Alosaka adds, "And don't let Gurbah get him. He'll just tear him apart." Jaysehn says, "I'm sure the Baron....or Lord Salnim and Lady Athalia in his stead will be able to bring experts as needed into this." A one-eyed greasy pirate states, "He's got red hair." Speaking to Alosaka, Perigourd says, "That killer being the Claw of Andelas." Grutak asks, "So where did the healer come from?" Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Grutak asks, "Did you bring the healer?" Perigourd says, "Who was also known to use disguises." You ask, "Red hair?" Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Kimrella says, "At your command, Steward, we just need to ensure the ship hasn't been compromised further." Speaking to Alosaka, Tikba muses, "Perhaps someone who could disguise themselves flawlessly as well, or conceal themselves in a cabin with no other exits." Speaking to Grutak, Jarnsaixa asks, "Are you daft?" Jarnsaixa nods once at Kimrella. A one-eyed greasy pirate says, "Not too red. Sorta red." Speaking to Tikba, Alosaka says, "That's not typically a skill healers practice." Maylan blinks at a one-eyed greasy pirate. You prompt, "And what else?" A one-eyed greasy pirate says, "A very large hat." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Guarrin asks, "Was there a bit of white in it?" Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Grutak says, "I am curious where the healer came from. The Captain didn't bring her on board and you say you didn't." Jarnsaixa paces back and forth. Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Kothos says, "Red hair, big hat." Grutak asks, "So where did she come from?" Tikba murmurs, "If that person is on the ship, then they may escape when we dock." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Kimrella says, "So we're basically looking for every pirate." Speaking to Grutak, Jarnsaixa asks, "It is a good question, isn't it?" Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Kothos asks, "Human, perhaps?" Kimrella put a gold hilted golvern estoc in her white leather swordbelt. Speaking to Kothos, Maylan corrects, "Sorta red." You quietly whisper to Raelee, "Do you know what that Captain causing troubles in the north looks like?" Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Maylan asks, "Just the one?" Grutak asks, "I mean this isn't that hard of a target to hit ya know?" Guarrin takes a slow, deep breath then pinches the bridge of his nose. A one-eyed greasy pirate says, "Think so." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Maylan asks, "Was he a krolvin fella?" The pirate squints. Tikba looks thoughtfully at a one-eyed greasy pirate. A one-eyed greasy pirate asks, "No, I tol that... other one... which one was it?" The pirate glances around. Kothos asks, "...other one?" Raelee whispers, "His hair is similar in shade to my own, yet with grey." Sorlu cocks his head at a one-eyed greasy pirate. You quietly whisper to Raelee, "Does he often wear a large hat?" A one-eyed greasy pirate says, "I told one of ya tha' he's a human." The Marshtown Pier quickly approaching, causing sailors to run around the deck. Sails are drawn up, and the anchor is slowly lowered. Raelee whispers, "I do not know." You nod slightly at Raelee. Grutak says, "Human captain." Maylan says, "A one-eared human with sorta red hair and a big hat." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Jaysehn says, "I'll deploy my ships immediately upon us docking." Speaking quietly to Raelee, you murmur, "If he's bold enough to hold a Magister hostage, it is possible." A one-eyed greasy pirate says, "Sounds 'bout righ' from what I remember before I swung over here on a rope." Speaking to Jaysehn, Jarnsaixa says, "Thank you." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Perigourd says, "It would be worth searching the healers rooms as well." Jarnsaixa says, "I will turn myself into the Baron." Uniana says, "The Fortress is here as well, we can send out our crew immediately." Speaking to you, Raelee says, "It is." Akenna frowns at Jarnsaixa. Speaking to Akenna, a one-eyed greasy pirate asks, "Can I be a crewmate now?" Jaysehn nods understandingly at Jarnsaixa. Jarnsaixa nods once. Kimrella looks over at Jarnsaixa and shakes her head. Fionola says, "Wha fur." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Grutak says, "Your jobs not done yet." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Maylan says, "Alright here's your cookie then." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Kimrella says, "Steward, I should take the pirate in for questioning, let me take the responsibility while you search for her." Speaking to Earthdiver, Aliashyrah asks, "You joined us after the ship had departed, yes?" Speaking in Giantman to Jarnsaixa, Falicor asks something you don't understand. Jaysehn says, "You should both go." Speaking to Earthdiver, Aliashyrah asks, "Through what manner of magic?" Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Kothos says, "I'm sorry, Steward." Jaysehn says, "The Baron needs to hear from both of you." Jarnsaixa defiantly says, "I fought." Aliashyrah says, "Perhaps the woman used the same type." Meril quietly says, "Please, allow the steward her sense of duty." Earthdiver says, "A doorway." Speaking softly to Jarnsaixa, Missoni says, "You did. We will keep searching for her." Speaking seriously to Jarnsaixa, Kimrella says, "I will accept the charges for now, just find her." Jaysehn says, "Another set of eyes among dozens wont' matter on the water tonight. See the Baron and report to him what you can." Guarrin grimly states, "Nothing." A one-eyed greasy pirate nods at Akenna. Speaking in Giantman to Jarnsaixa, Falicor says something you don't understand. Jarnsaixa nods at Kimrella. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Aliashyrah asks, "Did you notice any type of magic before the woman arrived? A doorway or any other such portal that might explain her sudden appearance?" Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Akenna says, "Please be as cooperative as you can." A one-eyed greasy pirate says, "I told ya all I know." Speaking slowly to Aliashyrah, Jarnsaixa says, "No..." Tikba says, "I fear the Steward is right to turn herself in. Others must search." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Kothos says, "We'll find out." Earthdiver gestures. A sharp blue line traces its way through the air before you into the shape of a doorway, which opens to reveal a starlit blackness as vast and endless as the midnight sky. Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Meliyara corrects, "All you claim to remember, at any rate." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Kimrella says, "Well, we will be finding out if you know more somewhere in that head of yours." Jarnsaixa says, "I was reaching for blankets, such a stupid task." Earthdiver nods at Aliashyrah. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Aliashyrah says, "I only ask because he found the ship through magic without dificulty." Meril asks, "We have only the scent that Kothos mentioned... is it something the pirate might recognize? Or perhaps the bottles?" Alosaka nods to the greasy pirate. Earthdiver says, "Like this one." A one-eyed greasy pirate says, "Tryna wade through the swamp o'my mind." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Akenna says, "I know, but if anything else comes to mind... you tell them." Akenna nods to the greasy pirate. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Aliashyrah says, "It is possible this healer did something similar." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Khazaann says, "'gurbah will make you remember more." Thrassus looks thoughtfully at a one-eyed greasy pirate. Guarrin says, "Likely escaped with the pirates. Or some other means." Speaking frustratedly to Aliashyrah, Jarnsaixa says, "I don't know." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Jaysehn says, "My wife keeps her word. So try." Uniana glances with dismay at Jarnsaixa. Speaking to Guarrin, Kothos says, "I think there's a lot of questions, and we won't answer them tonight." Kimrella removes a cloudy glass bottle from in her green wool cloak. Kimrella offers Jarnsaixa a cloudy glass bottle. Speaking regretfully to Uniana, Jarnsaixa says, "I'm sorry, but I don't." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Katiesa advises, "Might want to try to pick up that cookie while you can, fella." Jarnsaixa accepts Kimrella's glass bottle. Meril cocks her head at a one-eyed greasy pirate. Uniana sincerely promises, "We can still find her." Cryheart says, "Aye." Jaysehn says, "We can." Mohrgan glances expectantly at a pale-faced coppery barn owl. You nod slightly at Uniana. Alosaka says, "She is still alive. This attack wasn't meant to kill her but to capture her."
After Docking
Several sailors lower a plank. Cryheart says, "Nice try, Owly." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Kothos says, "Don't lose hope." Speaking to Alosaka, Aliashyrah says, "That is an assumption. You may be correct, but to state it as fact is dangerous." Speaking to Alosaka, Tikba says, "We must hope." Jaysehn says, "We have three ships in port now. I can have three more here by the morning." A one-eyed greasy pirate asks, "Someone gonna let m'back up onta m'feet?" Sorlu says, "Yes. We must hold onto hope. It is all that we have." Jarnsaixa nods at Akenna. Speaking to Aliashyrah, Alosaka asks, "Is it? What is the danger of being wrong?" Speaking reassuringly to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Mohrgan says, "You did your best." (Akenna helps pull the pirate back onto his feet and steadies him.) The coppery barn owl hoots at Mohrgan. The coppery barn owl ruffles his feathers. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Kothos says, "It's the one indulgence that you can never tire of." Speaking deeply to Jarnsaixa, Gaturnius says, "Hold steady. Never give up. We will help search." Speaking to Alosaka, Aliashyrah says, "Possibly overlooking evidence that might point away from your assumption." Speaking to Kimrella, Jarnsaixa says, "Just get him to the baron." Speaking firmly to Jarnsaixa, Kimrella says, "Find whomever did this and send them my regards." She adjusts her estoc as she grabs the pirate with her free hand. "I will bear the brunt of it for now." The pirate flexes his fingers behind his back, wrists bound tight enough for his hands to be red. Jarnsaixa nods once. Speaking to Kimrella, Grutak says, "A crew needs their captain." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Akenna says, "Remember if anything comes to mind, you tell the baron's men or no deal." Speaking simply to Grutak, Kimrella says, "And Jarnsaixa needs her ward." Speaking to a one-eyed greasy pirate, Nalver says, "You keep pushing on those restraints and you might lose a hand." Gaturnius bows to Kimrella. Sorlu asks, "Will there be a reward for the...recovery?" Sorlu raises an eyebrow. Speaking to Aliashyrah, Alosaka says, "We can look for evidence regardless of our working theory. If evidence contradicts our suspicions, we change our theory." Jarnsaixa glances at Sorlu. Kimrella tips her tricorn as she strides down the walkway, pirate dragging behind her. Speaking to Sorlu, Perigourd says, "The honor of being of service." Speaking to Sorlu, Akenna asks, "Honor?" You correct, "Rescue. Not recovery." Grutak says, "Then go back out there and do your job. Just like she is." Speaking dryly to Sorlu, Alosaka says, "The vindication of a job well done." Sorlu says, "Ah, of course." Grutak says, "You can always fall on your sword later." Jarnsaixa asks, "Who had a ship?" Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Jaysehn says, "The Silver Sun is yours. I will have my Captain, Orlov, await your pleasure. It is yours to command as you see fit." Speaking to Alosaka, Kothos says, "Indeed. Deduction or induction, as needed." Cryheart points at Jaysehn. Uniana points at Teveriel. Speaking simply to Grutak, Missoni says, "She is not yours to command." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Guarrin says, "Just a sloop. Not enough room for us all." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Perigourd says, "Jaysehn has several, some others have some vessels as well." Speaking to Missoni, Grutak says, "No, but I've been in her shoes." Jarnsaixa says, "I just need to get back out there." Speaking to Jaysehn, Jisandra says, "Happy to help you crew again, Commodore." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Teveriel says, "The Sentinel Fleet and the Gilded Talon both are at your disposal." Missoni noncommittally says, "Mmm." Jisandra nods at Jarnsaixa. Falicor says, "All my ships are at your disposal." Jarnsaixa says, "We can't have been more than half an hour from here." Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Akenna says, "We will do all we can to help you." Jarnsaixa asks, "Is the tide coming in or out?" Thrassus says, "I wish the searchers luck. Finding a single person out in the middle of the ocean can be daunting." Speaking to Missoni, Grutak says, "You know nothing of me or my life. Before you go casting judgements try knowing me." Jarnsaixa lets loose with an involved and improbable curse against the day she was born. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Jaysehn says, "Given the speed of that ship? I assume out." Jarnsaixa frustratedly says, "I know nothing of the sea." Tikba nods sympathetically at Jarnsaixa. Speaking to Grutak, Missoni says, "My statement stands." Sorlu glances appraisingly at Jarnsaixa. Jaysehn says, "We'll organize an overnight patrol." Jaysehn nods at Jarnsaixa. Jisandra says, "You have Commodore Jaysehn here, and several members of his Free Captain's Company." Jarnsaixa nods at Jaysehn. Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Grutak says, "And that's why you dont' send the captain of the ship away." Aliashyrah asks, "How near to shore were we when the Lady was thrown overboard?" Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Guarrin says, "Quite a few skilled sailors here." Jisandra adds, "Among others I am less familiar with." Speaking to Grutak, Jarnsaixa says, "YOu really need to get out of my face." Missoni agrees with Jarnsaixa. Aliashyrah says, "If she is a strong swimmer, perhaps she was able to make her way to shore." Jarnsaixa just entered a long green walkway to green pier. >go walkway [North 'Haven Quay, Green Pier] Dominating the immediate view with five large piers, the docking structure is comprised of water-darkened fel and oak boards with ironwood support posts set at regular intervals. Each docking slip has its own thick bumper of cork and canvas with a handful of unused buoys tied to a piling. A large sign hanging from the rope and oak railings reads, "North 'Haven Quay, Green Pier - Slips 6-10," and shards of bright pectin shell are inset along the outer edges. You also see a lazy wild reddish-black dog, the Alosaka disk, the hammered silver Meliyara disk, the Kimrella disk, the Khazaann disk, the driftwood Nalver disk, the black jade Kothos disk edged with glittering gold, a sulky wasteland spirit that is flying around, a black-eared red and grey fox, a fluffy white cat, a mischievous sunburst spirit that is flying around, the repousse copper Perigourd disk raised in leafy designs, a slender gangplank and a sloop.
