Nimaera is an Half-Elven Wizard.

Appearance

You see Nimaera.
She appears to be a Half-Elf.
She is average height. She appears to be very young. She has thick-lashed moonlight silver-laced violet eyes and luminous pale ivory skin. She has thigh length, cascading mithril-hued hair pulled into a high ponytail by a black silk ribbon, the length falling down her back in elegant waves. She has an angular face, an aquiline nose and well-defined, high cheekbones. She has a curvilinear stroke of smoke black lined across her lashes, the ink tapering towards her brow. She has a delicate ebon lacework inking traced with silver on her finger, a trio of faenor-wound alabaster rings in the ridges of both her ears, and an inked orchid bloom crescent on her arm.
She is wearing a heavy waterfall necklet of brushed pewter beads, an opal-studded silver leather haversack, a darted thistle wool waistcoat with wide peaked lapels, an off-shoulder creamy silk blouse, a slender vaalin signet ring, a pair of wide legged trousers narrowing to a tailored high waist, and some elegant sable chainsil slippers lofted on crystalline heels.

Life

Nimaera is frequently illusive and quite skilled at avoiding personal questions. It seems she would like people to forget to ask her about herself. She has opened up to very few people and holds them to fatally serious expectation regarding their discretion. She is nomadic in behavior, frequently stating that she can't stand to be in any one place at a time for long. This may be true, and only coincidentally coincide with fleeing immediately after noticing that anyone seems to be growing too attached to her or be making too many claims on her time.
She is uncomfortable in the company of Elves, though this fades as she gets to know the person. She has trouble in large groups, she often grows increasingly anxious and relies on her friends to distract her in those moments. To those who know her well she is dry humored and unusually quick witted. Often described as perceptive, she is much more content to watch than speak under most circumstances. She enjoys playing the harp, though it's seldom seen by others as she has some difficulty with her hands. She showed an aptitude for elemental magic at a young age and has occasionally mentioned her father securing tutoring for her, though she also references "the Tower" with equal vagueness.

Family and History

Nimaera has mentioned both her parents and "brothers" on several occasions, though she's not more specific on her family. When asked, she usually turns the question back to the asker. If inquiries are made after her homeland or personal history, she changes the subject. Should she be asked about her surname she often replies, "Just Nimaera".

Tattoos

She has several, all of which hold significance, none of which she has ever explained.

a delicate ebon lacework inking traced with silver

Silver-traced ebon ink weaves a delicate lacework design against the back of the hand, starting with a trio of flourished bands across the wrist. Angled lines run up to a point at the center of the piece, accentuated by an angular arch contoured over the knuckles. Terminating just above a finely inked crescent moon at the first knuckle, thin lines flow up the length of the middle finger, while the remaining fingers are each ornamented with a filigree ring accented by a downward, triple-rayed sunburst.

a watercolor compass tattoo

This image has been created using a wide palette of cerulean and magenta, swirling across and through each other to create a panoply of unique hues, each flowing seamlessly to and from its neighbors across her delicate shoulder blade. At the center of the tableau, a delicately formed compass has been inked by a steady hand, its lines perfectly straight, and a stylistic counterpoint to the chromatic chaos around it.

an inked orchid bloom crescent

Created using soft tones of thistle blue and plum, the delicate shape of orchid blossoms have been created and linked together in the shape of a perfect crescent. Each of the nine blooms varies in size and angle, unique but complimentary against the stylized vine creating the half-moon image. A delicate braid of umber is barely visible between the petals of the blossoms, twining amongst them and tying them together in minute swirls of color.
