Headline: Vaalor Distances Itself From Illistim: Sovereign Qalinor Seeks Renegotiation

In a bold (and if some reputable sources are to be believed) and contentious decree, the Sovereign Commander of House Vaalor posted a notice that stated the removal of Ta'Vaalor from the mutual defense treaty shared with House Illistim was effective immediately. It is a clear maneuver to scold Illistim's leadership for the unnecessary and disrespectful imprisonment of Lord Commander Jaranzair following the murder of Kasendra Malwind.

Given that the murderer of Kasendra is still at large and two of the most public figures of the court are likewise still missing it seems like more than wise for the King to distance himself from a City-State struggling to appease their countrykin. Who knew that Qalinor was capable of such shrewd moves outside of a dance floor?

Headline: Vaalor Military Ball A Delight For Almost All

Speaking of Qalinor's infamous moves, he was noticeably absent this year from the annual celebration of Vaalor's Military Ball. The gathering itself was otherwise well-attended and had a delightful mix of those in service, local courtiers and foreign well wishers. Legionnaire Captain Tyavasinne Ghiran, from one of the most noted families in Ta'Vaalor as her father sits on the Regent Council, arrived with her partner the Lady Nueleth Ravaran whose combination of a single-sleeve opposite a dramatic shoulder-high glove was one of the standout ensembles of the night. (Un)fortunately, this year there was no shoulder-standing to be seen.

Headline: Gasen Nellereune Sighting?

After a recent pirate attack at Mistwatch, a slim and youthful looking lad looked to be more dragged to waiting boats than running willingly. A scrap of silk embroidered with a barely discernable "G" was noted on the pier upon the departure, leading many to begin speculations: Was Gasen among the pirates? If so, had he been taken by force? Or had he taken a young boy's fantasy too far and joined them willingly? Was the fellow being dragged even really Gasen, and trying for an escape?

Despite these rumours spreading quickly to interested parties on the western side of the Dragonspine, the Mirror continues her silence in regards to her Ward.

Headline: Heard it on the Peacock Grapevine

Murmurings on the Peacock Grapevine have revealed a flurry of communications to the inquisitors and envoys. The origins of these missives are as yet unconfirmed but one can only assume that the Keep is taking Vaalor's displeasure very seriously.

Headline: Court Circulars

The Royal Arboretum will see its first Symposium this summer. The event will be open to anyone with an interest in botany, whether that is in the field of research, art, poetry, or crafting. Interested parties should reach out to Loremaster Rohese Bayvel-Timbertree, who will co-ordinate the day's activities.
