The disir in the Pits are hyper-aggressive because of some lingering dark influence down there. Something that far predates Zeban.
Voln still gives you credit because Voln only cares that undead things be put down. You kind of have to make the choice of whether or not your character is cool with killing valkyries who are just doing their job of attending the unquiet dead, yes.
It's a lot like Luukosians hunting in the Sanctum. Technically you're killing members of your order, but they've also been changed by an Ur-Daemon artifact.
