This template may be used as an alternative to the standard ' - ' character. In some text formulas, the standard minus character is small and may not be easily discernible.

To easily see the difference, consider the two following mathematical formulas:

with standard minus symbol

A - B = C

and with template - symbol

A – B = C

In order to generate the template minus sign for readability, enclose a standard minus sign in braces like this {{-}}.

Thus, the code used to generate the second equation above would be:
