Lamplight plays upon the rippled oilcloth of the tent's walls, lending them an oily appearance that is slightly rainbow-swirled. Large posts keep the ceiling at bay for even the tallest of guests, while mismatched rugs scattered on the ground hide most of the surrounding mud and grass. Sitting kitty-corner to one section of the tent, a copper-bound worn oak footlocker sits with its lid thrown wide to display the pressed and folded linens within. You also see a small wooden sign.

The Kindred Plaid, West

[The Kindred Plaid, West - 8209289]
Laid out in layers, bright white rugs rest upon grass green ones to create diamond patterns upon the ground, while heavy wrought iron spheres rest upon the overly long cloth walls in an attempt to keep the arctic winds at bay. The Knight Way

The Knight Way, Lance Stall

[The Knight Way, Lance Stall - 8209171]
Cloth banners cut into uneven panels line the sides and front of the stall, their range of colorful sigils and symbols representing a mixed montage of heraldry. Merchants pace in front of and around the stall, a constant stream of yelling about the fine quality of their wares spouting from their lips. Well-made, traditionally styled accoutrements of a knight adorn a mannequin in the center of the stall, with spare accessories and surcoats spread across a display. You also see a large wooden sign.
Obvious exits: north, east, west, out
a large wooden sign

In the Common language, it reads:
Welcome to The Knight Way! Get your Knight Wear here so that you can be a knight the right way!

*Helms on the mannequins are crafted as imflass greathelms.
*Imflass armor on the mannequins carry imflass's natural enchant, and leather armor also carries the same enchant value as imflass.
*Gauntlets are ordered differently than last year: pairs ON the mannequins are made for aesthetics rather than combat; gauntlets NOT on the mannequins are made for unarmed combat and carry the same enchant value as imflass.

The seamstress in the back stall can stitch a selection of different designs on the surcoats. She also has some certificates on a table for unlocking additional actions for Knight Wear items.

If you want your own personal, plain spurs, helms, armor, or unarmed combat "gauntlets" to function like the Knight Wear sold here, or if you're interested in further ornamenting the spurs found here, visit the blacksmiths and craftsmen who work around the forge to see what they're offering.

Thanks for visiting The Knight Way! Remember to: fight for glory, but always with honor!

The Knight Way, Gaston Stall

[The Knight Way, Gaston Stall - 8209172]
Adjacent a stand topped with gaudy accessories and surcoats, the accoutrements of a knight, over-aggrandized in style, are heaped upon a mannequin in the mid-forward area of the stall. Overly lavish and ostentatiously decorated banners line the stall, and two merchants who look more like self-important snobs than hawkers stride back and forth, at turns completely ignoring and striking knightly poses for patrons as they shop.

Though not at all shoddy in build, the accoutrements of a knight that adorn a mannequin in the center of the stall seem mismatched, as if whomever put them together had little sense of suave style. Lending color to the stall, banners in the tournament's themed hues hang overhead, and a hawker's assistant laughs cheerfully as he bumbles and trips around the area.

The Knight Way, Back Stall

[The Knight Way, Back Stall - 8209174]
Housed a bit further back from the main market thoroughfare, the stall is open-air, with only a small, thin strip of canvas overhead to protect the interior from the elements. One side sports a long banner with a blacksmith's coat of arms, the other a banner with a mercantile guild sigil, with the back opening out into the woods. The space is otherwise bare, save for a writing desk topped with swathes of cloth and embroidery supplies and a silver-edged table. You also see a tall beak-nosed seamstress.
Obvious exits: south
look at seamstress
Long brown hair cascades down the seamstress's back in a mass of gentle waves, taking the edge off of the otherwise hard appearance of the elf; her face is all sharp angles, her limbs and neck wiry muscle. She wears a set of padded leather armor set with metal scales patterned in a dazzling display of aesthetic artistry but also with careful attention given to providing excellent protective support, and her pale green eyes flit to and fro as if she is constantly taking in everything that goes on around her.

ask seamstress about design
A tall beak-nosed seamstress responds, "All I do here is designs for Knight Wear surcoat embroidery. The current list of designs is here on this sheet of papyrus." She shows you a thick strip of papyrus:

She comments, "Some designs have a * -- this means they have more detail for SHOWing. You can see that detail if you ASK me ABOUT DESIGN DETAIL." She pulls the papyrus back and adds, "When you know which design you want, just ASK me ABOUT ORDER {DESIGN #}. Make sure you're holding your Knight Wear surcoat in one hand and 100 raikhen in the other hand."

#11 plum-backed gleaming silver dragon: Crouched low in a defensive position, the dragon appears ready to pounce at a moment's notice. Its watchful eyes are are limned with gold, as if alight from within, and metallic silver accents fused to the complex network of underlying dark grey thread give the impression of gleaming scales. Behind the majestic beast, a fan of plum tones spreads to the edges of the design, and within it are subtle shadowed shapes of desert and jungle landscapes wreathed in dancing flames.
#12 cobalt-edged unicorn design: Framed by a cloud of dreamlike mist expressed in graduated cobalt hues, the unicorn is caught mid-gait, with its head held high and two of four hooves partially raised in a cantering step. Opalescent white thread composes the equine's mane, tail, and horn, which stand out against its matte white body, while its shadow is composed entirely of black thread shot through at the mane, tail, and horn with the slightest of gold accents.
#13 spindly sanguine sun design: A multitude of vibrant orange, yellow, red, and pink hues melds into each other in the central part of the depiction of the sun, where the shading takes on a dark sanguine tone. Radiating out from the orb, each of the aforementioned colors individually peels off into spindly, pointed rays of varying lengths, with thin points of black dotting each tip.
#14 layered lotus and thistle design: Shaded almost entirely in whites, greys, and blacks, the overhead view of a large blooming lotus flower captures the upward curves of the petals in a perfect symmetry. A single stem of unopened thistle spears through the center of the lotus from the bottom left to the upper right. Subtle hints of blue surround the central image, their faintly wavy arcs indicative of floating atop a ghostly stretch of water.
#15 scimitar on a field of red design: --
 #16 infinity-shaped vine of blooming foxgloves: --
 #17 sharp-taloned soaring harpy: --
#18 tiger and crescent moon design: Rearing up on its back legs, the tiger is shaded in vivid orange, save for its off-white underside and its numerous pitch black stripes. Adorned with curved, sharp claws, the tiger's forepaws swipe menacingly at an unseen foe, and its fanged mouth is open in a ferocious roar. Tilted at an upward-facing slant over the feline is a yellow crescent moon, its bright hue standing out starkly from the design's black backing.
#19 grey-backed carmine sea serpent design: Set on a shield-shaped field of grey, the design depicts a left-facing sea serpent above four wavy, dark blue lines representing a body of water's surface; only the sea serpent's head, a central section of its body that has curved upward in an arc, and its tail are visible, with the remainder of the great carmine-hued beast presumably submerged underwater. The creature's ears stick up and backwards like horns, and a long, snake-like tongue sticks out from its partially open mouth.
#20 splayed and helmed raven design: With scarlet-bordered black wings splayed out to either side, the raven's body is composed of a shield split down the middle, with one side depicting a silver tusked wolf on a black field, and the other a stylized silver eagle with claws outstretched on a field of scarlet. The raven's tail feathers project out below the shield, while its head is hidden beneath a scarlet helm half-jutting over the top of the shield. Two greatsword hilts jut up at opposite angles on either side of the helm.

She pulls the papyrus back and adds, "When you know which design you want, just ASK me ABOUT ORDER {DESIGN #}. Make sure you're holding your Knight Wear surcoat in one hand and 100 raikhen in the other hand."

ask seamstress about order
A tall beak-nosed seamstress mutters, "You need to be holding a Knight Wear surcoat in one of your hands and 100 raikhen in your other hand if you actually want to order."

ask seamstress about joust
A tall beak-nosed seamstress glances at you warily and mutters, "Not sure what you want to know about jousting. It ain't no secret 'round here that I can't compete anymore. Bad heart or something like that." She looks away, then returns her steady, unwavering gaze to your person. "Doesn't matter, that; someday I'll be ready to get back in there and win again."

ask seamstress about Rumor Woods
A tall beak-nosed seamstress pauses before answering, "Well, the field that we're using wasn't here before. They cut down those trees. Never know how a wood will respond to that. Hope I'm not here to find out if the forest didn't like what we did here." She shrugs her shoulders slightly, then turns to gaze out of the back of the stall, toward the distant forest.

Leaping Leezards

[Leaping Leezards - 8209359]
The tanned hide-covered walls of the tent are covered in a myriad of lizard-themed artwork, the paintings, sketchings, and mosaics displaying reptiles in a variety of colors. A cylindrical dark wood display is flanked by a series of twine-wrapped hooks shaped like upside down lizards, their long tails fraying from years of use. A small cat, comically dressed in a lizard costume, glares from behind a pyrographed wooden counter, skitters around behind several boxes.
Obvious exits: out

On the counter you see: a dual-geared copper clockwork cuff, a pierceworked bronze cuff engulfed in constellations, a scrimshaw-banded bloodwood cuff, a thorn-covered dark kelyn cuff, and a spike-set blackened steel cuff.
