Valence Weapon runestaves were introduced at Duskruin Arena August 2023 by GM Kenstrom and are sold at Beyond Barriers. Each different Valence weapon type has different abilities.
Analyze
The description of the rune-carved crook may be freely altered.
The rune-carved crook is a Valence Weapon, which temporarily allows the wielder to tap into the energy of various other valences and channel that power in offensive and defensive ways.
The crook is tier 1 of 4. This means that it has access to the following verbs: DROP, GET, WAVE (Veil of Shien'tyr). Bearing both a Valence Weapon and Valence Armor unlocks a special ability (Let it Rift), which is activated via TURN to inflict a number of damage cycles on a target based on the average tier of the weapon and armor.
Additionally, the weapon will have a standard chance to flare with disintegration damage on successful attacks. Each unlocked tier allows a chance for another successive flare to occur if the previous one was successful, with diminishing chances per flare.
You might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the rune-carved crook for you.
Tier 1At tier 1, Valence Weapons have a standard flare chance to flare disintegration.
Veil of Shien'tyr (WAVE) - An AoE SMR attack to debuff enemies. This ability blinds affected enemies. Cooldown: 6 minutes (-1 per tier above 1, minimum 3 minutes).
Special Ability: Let it Rift (TURN) - Only available when used in conjunction with Valence Armor. An SMR attack with multiple waves of damage. Cooldown: 30 minutes.Usage

You touch your finger to an archaic rune along your rune-carved crook, and rings of burning silver light begin to bend and crackle in the air.

Tier 2At tier 2, Valence weapons have a 20% chance for a second flare when the tier 1 flare activates.
Mana Grab (RAISE) - An AoE SMR attack to extract mana from foes. Cooldown: 60 minutes (-10 per tier above 2, minimum 40 minutes).Usage

Tier 3At tier 3, Valence weapons have a 10% for a third flare when the second flare activates.
Valence Mastery (PULL) - +15 CS/TD and +25 bolt AS/DS for 60 seconds. Cooldown: 15 minutes (-5 per tier above 3, minimum 10 minutes).Usage

Tier 4At tier 4, Valence weapons have a 5% chance for a fourth flare when the third flare activates.
Dimensional Deflection (PUSH) - For 30 seconds, 25% chance to reflect incoming AS/DS attacks. Cooldown: 30 minutes.
Extraplanar Bane Affinity - Increases potency of extraplanar bane by +10 AS.Usage
