Background
Valkra was born to the T’Kirem Clan, whose lifeblood has always been tied to the pelts they hunt, tan, and trade. From youth, she showed patience beyond her years, following hunters silently through snowbound forests. While others sought deer or hare, her eyes were ever drawn to the tracks of wolves.
One winter, she strayed too far from the hunting bands and came upon a starving wolf pack. Instead of fleeing, she stood her ground, her small spear shaking in her hands. The alpha lunged but halted at the sound of her scream—a raw, guttural cry of defiance. She escaped with only a shallow bite, but the elders of her clan called it a sign: she bore the wolf’s spirit, untamed yet unbroken.
As she grew into her warrior’s strength, Valkra hunted not just for food, but for trophies worthy of legend. Her proudest kill came after a long winter pursuit of a monstrous grey wolf that had plagued her clan’s herds. When at last she slew it, she claimed its pelt and fashioned it into a mantle—grey, heavy, with the head draped across her shoulder. From then on, she was known as Wolfmantle, the huntress who wore the beast that once hunted her kin.
