1. New Releases:

BUDDY CONTEST WINNERS
They told their friends about GemStone III and now they're reaping the
rewards! We'll be picking three winners at the end of every month, so just
keep spreading the word and you could be next! The names of the new lucky
winners are posted on the GemStone III web site each month following the

Character Portraits are finally here! Let our team of professional artists
create a unique portrait of your character for all to see inside the game.
Simply submit a description of your character and an artist will work from
your own words! Regular signups open on Tuesday, December 7th, at 12 AM
EST. For more information, check out the Character Portrait link on the
GemStone III website at http://gemstone.net.

EBON'S GATE SURVEY
If you attended the Ebon's Gate Festival in October, we want to hear from
you! Whether it's a pat on the back or a piece of your mind, your feedback
will help us improve your gaming experience. Go to the GemStone III
website to fill out the form. If you'd like to discuss a survey topic in
greater detail, please visit the GemStone III Surveys topic in the
bulletin boards.

GIANTKIN HISTORY REVEALED!
Although great mysteries still surround the great Elanthian race known as
Giantman or Giantkin, scribes have pieced together all available
information in a couple documents that every Elanthian should read. Visit
the GemStone III Files Library and explore the history of Giantkin today!

2. Elanthian Events:

SOLSTICE TREE FESTIVITIES
Join us Sunday, December 19th, for one of the most cherished Winter
Solstice traditions  -- the lighting and decorating of the Solstice Tree!
A special Winter Solstice tree will be placed in the Garden Niche just
west of the Small Park in Wehnimer's Landing. The Houses of Elanthia are
providing the beautiful decorations and refreshments will be served, so
come join in the merry-making! Check the in-game NEWS soon for the time.

VEGASCON 2000!
Come experience the sights and sounds of Las Vegas, February 10th through
February 13th! Dinner, games, gambling and nightlife, all in one
breathtaking weekend! Put on by the Players FOR the Players! Enjoy the
atmosphere with people that understand what it means to skin a kobold and
slay a tsark! Visit the GemStone III website for more details and an

LOREKEEPER'S LEXICON GAMES!
Join the Lorekeepers of Silverwood Manor for a special Lexicon for Novice
citizens.  This is a fun and interactive way to learn all the best action
verbs and enhance your roleplaying activity in Elanthia! Gather for the
festivities on Wednesday, December 8th at 9:00 PM EST in IceMule Trace at
Silverwood Manor (located one north and one west from Town Center at 310
Cursed Street). Mentors and GameMasters will be available for
demonstrations and questions following the games!
