POSE is a roleplaying verb. It also has special functionality for Erithians.

Usage

Pose help:

Usage:
    POSE                            - Strike a heroic pose
    POSE {self}                     - Preen and strike a pose
    POSE {target}                   - Pose in front of a target
    POSE SET [option]               - Shows or sets the POSE verb options available.

Verb Info

Verb information for verb "POSE":

People targets:
STANDARD         - You wink at (target), toss your head, and strike a pose!
ERITHIAN         - You serenely clasp your hands together and bow slightly
                   to XXX in formal greeting.

Self target:
STANDARD
  FIRST PERSON   - You preen a bit, glancing down to see if everything is in
                   place, then strike a pose.
  OTHERS         - XXX preens and gives herself a quick once-over, then strikes
                   a pose that is perhaps supposed to be impressive.
ERITHIAN         - You steady your breathing and slowly stretch out each of
                   your limbs in turn, preparing yourself for activity.

Object targets:
STANDARD         - You pose in front of (target).
ERITHIAN         - With fluid grace, you lean in to examine (target), your
                   every move exact and intentioned.

Creature targets:
STANDARD
  FIRST PERSON   - You stare intimidatingly at (target) and pull yourself into a
                   fearsome pose, brandishing and gesticulating wildly for good measure.
  OTHERS         - XXX tries to stare down (target), and when that doesn't work,
                   pulls herself into an intimidating pose, marred only by her
                   bizarre gesticulating.
ERITHIAN         - You adopt a serene, yet observant, pose as you study (target).

No target:
STANDARD
  PRONE          - You stretch one arm along your side and prop up your head
                   with the other hand.
  KNEELING       - You place your hands beneath your chin and turn your eyes
                   up to the heavens.
  SITTING        - You lean forward and rest your chin in your hand, a thoughtful
                   expression on your face.
  STANDING       - You strike a heroic pose.
ERITHIAN         - You steady your breathing and slowly stretch out each of your
                   limbs in turn, preparing yourself for activity.
HALF-ELVEN
  ELVEN CULTURES
    FIRST PERSON - You hold yourself up straighter and inhale, striking your most
                   refined pose in an attempt to look a little bit more lithe
                   and hopefully more elven.
    OTHERS       - After darting a quick glance around, XXX straightens her
                   posture and adopts a refined pose.
  HUMAN CULTURES
    FIRST PERSON - You take a deep breath and throw your shoulders back while
                   slightly jutting out your chin, striking a proud pose in a
                   hopeful attempt to look more human.
    OTHERS       - After unconsciously trying to cover the tip of her ear, XXX
                   throws her shoulders back and slightly juts out her chin
                   in a proud pose.
